I rented a couple of rooms for family. the one room had a queen size bed and a couch/desk/microwave and a fridge. my daughter said that the bed was comfortable and she loved the room. My room I stayed with my grandson he was thrilled that there were 9 plug in places ( which made 18 all together) There were 3 beds in our room perfect for family travelling. a nice deep tub in the bathroom and a full size kitchen with everything that you would need. a perfect place to stay. The night that we stayed there the temperature outside dipped down very low. I called down to the front desk to ask how to turn on the heat. He said they control the heat- within 20 minutes we were toasty and warm. The manager stopped by to talk to let us know what was going on as the night before it was hot and all the air conditioners were running...lol..that's the prairie weather . it was excellent and the price was perfect

This is an older facility. Do not let that put you off. It has been fully renovated. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. Price was very reasonable. I recommend it to anyone who is touring the Drumheller area. It is only 45 minutes away from Drumheller

Stayed in this motel as a starting point to explore the surrounding area. It was a very clean, spacious and affordable room. Very courteous staff. Only complaint was lack of hot water at the end of a very busy day. I Would still recommend this motel.

The room was clean. It was cleaned every day. Towels were replaced every day. Small breakfast is provided - fruits, muffins, croissants, yogurt, tea and coffee. The beds were great. I got a good nights rest. It was also very quiet. There's a liquor store on site if you wish to buy some adult beverages. The manager was great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Booked this motel May 5th, 18 for a family get together in 3 hills. Seems the motel owner got a call from a business that needed to extend the crew staying in the Lamplighter for 2 weeks. So we surmise that the owner entered a false credit card number on our behalf and suddenly our two rooms became available. No call, just an email (June 20 - for a June 22 stay) We called promplty only to learn the rooms were "gone". Unbelievable The owner of the Lamplighter Inn accused us of supplying a FAKE credit card number, BUT Expedia checked out the Master Card number, against our name, our address, our postal code, the back side reference number and the expiry date, ALL OK and forwarded a booking conformation. Sounds a bit fishy? Give this business a wide berth.

We had just experienced a scary hotel stay at the start of our trip and so was hoping this one was not going to be the same. I called the motel to let them know we were coming in late. They said 'No problem. We will be here.' The owner was waiting for us and greeted me with a big smile! We were very impressed once we checked in how clean the room was. My family was really happy about that. The bathroom was updated and meticulously clean. The air conditioner worked great! The beds were comfortable and we had a good size fridge that worked great! We needed to do laundry and it was late. The owner was very accommodating. I felt bad I had to bug him 3 times - first for more towels, second about laundry hours and 3rd about laundry soap. He was great and was really happy to help me and went out of his way every time. I find the owner here is very thoughtful, helpful, caring and accommodating. He really put his customers first! I have to say, the owners of the Lamplighter Inn has provided the best service I have ever had with staying in a hotel/motel.

My Mother, Daughter, and myself stayed and it was wonderful. The staff/owners were fantastic. So friendly and accommodating. We were so happy to come to a nice deep bath after our all day drive from Kelowna.

There were stains on the floor of feet walking into the bathroom. Rug was disgusting. Base sheet for bed was stained, not the regular sheets, but the sheet to cover the mattress itself. Mattress seemed old, dip in bed. Either than the cleanliness, customer service was great.

This motel is listed as a 2 star motel but I was amazed with my room. I had a queen sized bed, a couch with coffee table, microwave, fridge, air conditioning and coffee maker. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and I could not believe having the couch and coffee table I usually have to order a suite to get that. The price was very cheap. There was a liquor store attached to the motel so easy to pop in for something to drink. For me the only thing that made it a 2 star was the shampoo came in a tear open bag. I will definitely stay here again.
