I came to Mountain Trek for a week in mid May and it was one of the best experiences I have had! I am currently living in the middle east but had just left my job and have a few months before I start my new role. I was keen to spend the time trying to get back the fitness I have lost over the last few years, lose the weight I gained as a result of various health issues (despite being fairly active and sporty and eating healthily), travel and see friends and family. Being British, I started by looking at fitness retreats in Europe. None however quite fitted the bill. They were either yoga or treatment based so not active, or army style bootcamps with lots of strapping men shouting at you whilst you crawl around on the floor! It is impossible to state what a life altering trip this was . The scenery is breath taking. The cabin/resort is spotless and set above a gorgeous glacier feed lake surrounded by snow capped mountains. I felt well cared for by the lovely staff. The food was delicious and I was never hungry. I lost more weight than expected. I was taught so much regarding health and well being. The lessons learned will be carried throughout my life. The hikes were challenging but so rewarding. I will be back again soon. It was a lifestyle reset.
I don’t normally write reviews etc but had such a rewarding time at mountain trek, I felt it warranted one. Just returned from a week at mountain trek and from start to finish could not have asked for more. The team, food, hikes, lectures were fantastic and all the team there are completely on top of their game. I learned so much during my week there and have come away feeling refreshed. I now know balanced health is not all about weight loss but it was nice that a trousers that prev did not fit now does!!! The group of other guests also were great, really nice team spirit. Feel v lucky to have experienced it all.
I spent a week at Mountain Trek at the beginning of October - my second trip. Once again, it was a truly amazing week and I left feeling thoroughly rejuvenated. The program takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and the integrated approach to nutrition, fitness, detox, and overall wellbeing really works. It is an approach that has been refined over many years, and is based on solid research. The staff are passionate about what they do, and completely dedicated to supporting you on your journey to better health. On each trip, my level of fitness got a big boost, and I've managed to adopt some new habits that have changed my health for the better. I've also met a wonderful group of fellow guests on each trip. I hope to go back next year!
I'm a healthy person. I exercise regularly, eat well, meditate, and have a great work-life balance. Actually, I should say - I *thought* I was a healthy person... until I went to Mountain Trek. They taught me what true health really is. In just 1 week everything about myself, from my mind to my fingernails, was healthier. My creativity, energy, and overall happiness spiked and my body composition changed dramatically. My week at Mountain Trek has changed the trajectory of my life forever - an investment I'd easily make again.
