This was not a vacation for me. I had hit bottom, was out of shape, had poor eating habits and knew I needed inspiration and encouragement to change. I love the outdoors and have hiked for most of my life, so found this to be the perfect fit for me, in the perfect environment. The staff is knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle change. I found the week to be a refreshing challenge, with others who were there for the same reason, improved fitness.

It is no wonder this location wins awards every year. It is beautiful and the program works! Passionate, gracious, knowledgeable staff, superb food, hikes that make your heart pound for their beauty and a wake up yoga class to stretch it all out. It is a program, and you are on a schedule, its structured, but worth every minute. No time to read your book, but you won't care. The time in the hot tub, sauna and massages will end the day with you ready to go out with the light.

Mountain Trek gave me the tools and the inspiration to look at my lifestyle with fresh eyes and make changes to improve my overall health and happiness. British Columbia and the lodge are stunningly beautiful, being in nature every day was incredibly refreshing. I came to Mountain Trek with a singular goal, focusing on my nutrition but left with a more holistic look at my health in general - focusing more on my sleep and being more mindful of how attached I am to technology after work became personal initiatives when I got home. The hikes are difficult, but rewarding. The program schedule is intense and bootcamp-esque, although the staff is incredibly supportive. There are three massages every week and facials available but this is not a traditional spa and visitors should

June 13, 2017 I lost more than10 lbs and 7 inches of girth with Mountain Trek! But, more important than what I lost is what I gained! Mountain Trek catapulted me from the rut I was in and landed me firmly far down the path to wellness and healthy living for the long term with specific, actionable strategies and tips guiding me away from the unhealthy habits I had developed over time, and helping me to establish new ones that already have changed the quality of my life for the better. The program is thoroughly researched and comprehensive. The staff embodies what they teach, which they accomplish with enthusiasm, certainty, professionalism, and a sense of fun. All the staff–those dealing directly with clients, those working behind the scene, and those brought in for extra

Mountain Trek completely rebooted my health and wellness motivation, and I got so much more out of it than I could have imagined. There's no question that Mountain Trek is one of the most holistic, rejuvenating experiences out there: being immersed in gorgeous, breath-taking nature and with few technological distractions is a treat like none other in our hectic world. I didn't realize how much of a true gift to myself this experience would be — spending time working on me felt like the most luxurious thing I had done in years. I came out of it pounds lighter (and I'm still losing weight by applying what I learned while there), with a renewed sense of motivation and a newfound, priceless confidence that I'm capable of so much more than I previously thought.

I first came 11 years ago and this was my 6th trip. It just keeps getting better!! Program was hard and fun; based on science, but with so much time in nature!! Met all my goals. I leave with renewed motivation to pursue health for life!!

This is a lovely place with great hiking and excellent & healthy food where you can completely unplug and reboot your health in a holistic manner. If you really want to get away and learn new things about yourself and your health, I highly recommend it. If you want a more 'traditional' spa experience with lots of treatments (mani/pedi, hot stone, hair stylist, etc.) and free time, this is not the place for you. You will be cared for deeply at MT, however not pampered in the way of a traditional space. Look at the website and call and talk with Michelle so you completely understand what MT is all about before you book. You will be stretched by the experience. Every staff member is amazing, very knowledgeable, and friendly. You can gain much from your experience. The rooms

I loved my week in the mountains. I gave this experience as a gift to myself to destress, detox and feel rejuvenated. You arrive at this beautiful lodge, and although the bedrooms are quaint you do not need anything more as you are really only in them to sleep. There is daily laundry service which is nice, one less thing you have to think about. The food was amazing, you almost forget you are only eating about 1200 calories per day. I never felt hungry or that I couldn't push myself during the hikes or fitness classes. The staff are more than willing to give you more food if you feel like you aren't getting enough. The schedule is pretty intense without much down time but I knew what I was signing up for, a bootcamp style program, to kick my butt into gear. The morning yoga was

I have been here before so I am not a newbie to this experience. I have also been to a similar program in Malibu. The overall hiking and views/scenery are spectacular. The lodge itself is nice and the views from the eating area and exercise studio are amazing. Most of the staff was incredibly nice and supportive and upbeat. What I found surprising this time was how stressed the manager was. I had commented to a guest I was bringing how "chill" everyone was. Boy was I wrong, which bothered me since I had convinced someone to take on this expensive trip. The first full hiking day, this person was "snapping" at one of the guides and then snapped at several of us. Everyone was commenting on this saying that the behavior of this person was stressing them out. This

Response from MountainTrekRetreat, Manager at Mountain Trek Health Reset Retreat
Responded Sep. 19, 2016
Thank you so much for your honest comments. It's true that particular week was a stressful anomaly for our manager and we apologize that some actions negatively affected a handful of occasions. We are very aware of how stress has a ripple affect on staff and guests and we assure you the extraordinary circumstances in this instance are definitely not the norm at Mountain Trek. We also want to thank you for providing suggestions related to the menu items at the lodge.

I went to Mountain Trek to lose weight but I left with so much more .When I first checked in I was a little concerned about the room. The lodge it's self is very nice but rooms are dated and small. After a day you quickly realized it's very comfortable, clean& all you need . The food is amazing I would go as far and say it is some of the best I have ever eaten. Being limited to 1400cal a day I was worried, but I was never hungry extra food is offered if needed, but I never needed. The chefs really believe in eating with you're eyes first and these people knock it out of the park!! Every meal is a pice of art and taste like a master pice. The gym equipment is garbage. It should all be thrown out. This is not why you come and offering programs to use this stuff only hurts
