My husband I attended a week program at the Mountain Trek Rancho la Puerta program in Mexico. I had been on the BC program before. Hikes are challenging, lectures are informative, food is very good and filling. Kirk and Kathy, who run the program, are fun and motivating. You will definitely leave leaner, stronger and healthier. Highly recommended.

My husband and I went for two weeks to Mountain Trek at the end of August 2017. Our main goal in going was for the hiking in an attempt to improve our fitness. We both work out with a weight trainer on a regular basis and considered ourselves in reasonable shape. I wanted to lose about 5-7 lbs that I couldn't shake over the past 2 years. We have our own business and spend most of our time on computers or reading or traveling globally on business, but we never had the time we wanted for challenging exercise. So rather than another wonderful vacation at the beach or somewhere exotic we decided to try a fitness program in a beautiful part of North America we'd never been to before. This was our chance. We were not disappointed! I will be honest and say it wasn't easy for us to

My experience at Mountain Trek far exceeded my expectations. The program is very regimented which left very little time to think... which was a good thing. One of the best things about it is that you have no choices-- everything is planned out for you. You wake up at 6am and just keep going. The meals were fantastic. Delicious, organic meals but of course the portions were small, which is expected. No salt, no sugar, very little dairy, no gluten and no caffeine. I was missing coffee but I made sure to stop drinking caffeine a week before my trip so that I wouldn't get headaches. The hiking was challenging. No matter what level group you were in it was strenuous. You do what you have to do mentally to keep going. The guides were great- knowledgable, super friendly and

After years of wanting to do a trekking vacation, this year I finally booked the trip and gave myself permission to take a week just for myself. The experience FAR exceeded my expectations. Not only was it a physically challenging trekking experience, but the cursory elements of workshops, daily yoga, amazing organic meals, gym workouts, and a staff that felt like family from the start rounded out this dream vacation. I went more for the physical challenges and muscle mass growth, and achieved both during the week, while also decreasing my body fat index making me much more shredded. There is definitely a science to their process and if you simply follow their program you will lose weight, gain flexibility, and get a mental reset. I have incorporated a number of their

Hello Mountain Trek Team … well it’s been over one month since my most awesome week at MT. 30 days in and I am still feeling the positive effects of MT both mental & physical. From a hiking perspective – MT totally met my expectations (I have been lucky enough to hike in Western Canada before) what exceeded my expectations & surprised me was how much I learned. The daily talks were awesome – all the presenters are experts in their field and were able to provide great insights and actionable ideas to improve fitness, nutrition, sleep, stress, successful goal setting and so much more! What also surprised me was how many ideas I can incorporate into my family’s life (I have three young kids) & how you can eat so healthy (and a lot!!) in so few calories without ever feeling

I had heard a lot about the program and had high expectations, but they were completely surpassed. Mountain Trek has a truly holistic approach to health and wellbeing, based on solid research and years of honing the program to achieve the best results. I am amazed at the impact on my health in just one week. I feel younger, healthier, more energetic, and calmer. I learnt a huge amount about how to better manage my health. My fitness level took a big jump; I used to regularly run 5km, now I run 10km. The program provides a lot of support for different fitness levels and all ages, and for achieving different health/wellbeing goals. The team of fitness, nutrition and wellbeing experts are all outstanding; very well trained and approachable. The location is remote and takes a while

If you think this is an expensive program and you don't think you can afford it, think again; you can't afford NOT to do it. You will receive so much more for your money than you can imagine. I was shocked at the quality of this program, and its affects not only on my body, but on all aspects of my being. I can't believe how much change can happen over the course of one week, and I feel ready to return home and start again. The staff is truly amazing and they really attend to your every need. It is a challenging program for sure, at least for middle aged, fatigued individuals. But they provide so much help and support that you can't help but be transformed. Please do this.

I recently returned from my second visit to Mountain Trek, and once again I left feeling renewed, re-booted, detoxified and inspired. This visit was in mid-summer, as opposed to my previous autumn visit. I found the hikes to be more difficult in the heat, but the views and the gorgeous alpine flower fields were more than worth the effort. The location is stunning, the accommodations are simple and beautiful, and the food is delicious and all organic. Despite the 1200 calories per day (for women), I was never hungry. The Mountain Trek program incorporates, successfully, so many elements of fitness, nutrition, overall wellness, and education, and everyone on the staff is knowledgable, encouraging and supportive, including the chefs. The guides are brilliant, warm, and inspiring.

I came to this place having reached a point where I had to do something to improve my health and vitality. At this stage it has transformed my view of myself and how I both want and need to lead my life. It's wonderful if you are a trekking aficionado and while that's not why I came , if you just want to do that it's location affords you the most beautiful scenery in the Northern hemisphere ; it's very special. However it offers so much more in terms of health, wellness and vitality and the information and guidance necessary to improve all of those in my life. If you want a diet and to drop a size that you'll put back on in a week maybe this place isn't right for you but if you want to change - then this is the place to do that. A word about the people, I have never ever
