Everything was great the only thing to keep in mind is there is no Bar only a restaurant and they have Beer, Wine and hard A. but no Alcohol allowed in the Hot Springs and to be honest the large pool area is only 98 ish F and with lots of people it drops to below that. The Cave area is 104 F and is nice. The saving grace is in the AM from 0800 - 1000 am it is hotel guests only and it was heaven. But soon after that they sell day passes and it gets busy fast and kind of detracts from the Hot Spring experience.

We stayed in the downstairs flat last week while on a cross bc/alberta motorcycle tour. Which means we can't bring much except our clothes. The flat is very spacious, and has absolutely everything you could possibly need. It's got a great view from the balcony, and a swim in the lake after a hot day is only a few minutes away. Of course, across the street, and I mean RIGHT across the street you have the awesome Ainsworth hot springs, which was truly amazing and enjoyable. Great restaurant also. This is a great place and we will be back for sure next time, but for longer. Very reasonably priced, actually a bargain for what you get.

We booked two nights in the lower floor condo. Location is great, right on the lake and across the street is the hot spring. Lake view is right at the window. The suite is spacious and very clean. The decoration and furniture arrangement are indeed very homey! No wonder many reviews say they don't want to leave the place! There is also a fire place that we actually used in one of our nights and it worked well. The room has electric heating too but the fire place just adds more seasonal touch to it. Kitchen is fully equipped even with olive oil and some spices. People mentioned the smell in the bathroom in previous review, and I think it is still there. You can leave the fan on to reduce smell though. The things I think could have some improvement is first to replace the cooking pan with some non-stick pan. The current one is too easy to burn. Then this comes with the second which is the vent system in the kitchen as currently there is not any. With a burning pan and no vent, the room can be filled with smoke quickly. In such cold winter days it is hard to keep the windows open to get the smoke out. So either a non-stick pan or some vent hood in the kitchen would be helpful. Overall it is lovely place and I wonder how fun it will be in summer time!

Thank you for the very detailed review. Re: the frying pan - I always had non stick pans and guests would scratch them so quickly I was constantly buying new ones so I thought I would buy a quality frying pan. I will go back to the non stick though on your suggestion. The smell in the bathroom was from a dead animal that must have gotten trapped when the new deck was built in November. I was told that it no longer there so will check into it. There is no exhaust over the stove and it is possible to put one in but there has never been a need that I know of. The kitchen area is so open and an opening window is so close as well as the door that I never thought it was necessary. I will consider it. Thanks again. Kaayla

This is the ultimate condo place to relax, enjoy and also enjoy the hot springs directly across the road. The condo was unbelievably stocked with all the comforts of home. It was beautifully furnished in an elegant but comfortable setting. The only thing needed was great beverages and good food which they suggested we pick up at the grocery stores in Nelson, B.C. No small stores available in Ainsworth. The condo was quiet and peaceful and the view from the deck was just perfect. The deck was large, well furnished with chairs, loveseats and even a terrific large BBQ. A stroll down on the beach was enjoyed as well. Getting a chance to go to the hot springs was a total pleasure. A day pass is a really good bargain. Went up there several times the first day. Our stay was also a real bargain compared to any other places in the area.

We are really glad we booked this pet friendly place on our trip from Vancouver to Nelson with final destination Creston. We booked in the lower unit, this guest house is right across the road from Ainsworth hot springs ( NOTE: which closes at 9 pm.) Originally only had one night available, on our way were contacted that if interested we could take two nights. SO GLAD we had this option, could have stayed a week!!! It was a pleasant surprise and surpassed what we expected. Fabulous location, view and amenities. Immaculate, comfy and cozy decor. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee beans, coffee grinder, kettle, pots, dishes, utensils etc... just like home!!! DO a shop before you arrive as there is nothing within 15-20 minutes and selection may be basic or hours of operation may not work for you!! We brought a few snacks, fruits, veggies, baked goodies, wine etc... from our visit in Nelson earlier (40 minute drive). Kaslo is a great place to visit 15-20 minutes away!! Highly recommend! Loved having a deck, lots of windows and the lake view out front was breathtaking!! Just a short walk down to the lake and climb back up to the suite. Our teenage daughter and friend LOVED it as did our Lab... we will definitely try to get back to this lil piece of paradise! Thank you Kaayla!

Beautiful patio/deck facing the lake provides the perfect spot for a great BBQ and wonderful space for relaxing with a cocktail. The view is not only spectacular but just very very relaxing....great spot to let your mind turn off the rest of the world.. Well equipped unit had everything we needed and then some. Proximity to Ainsworth Hot Springs Spa (newly renovated and oh so Clean) is just the extra value that makes this a true find.

This little place was Excellent for our family of 3. We only stayed for 1 night and wished we could have stayed 2. We enjoyed an excellent dip next door and came back and enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace as my husband Grilled dinner on the BBQ. Thankfully, we decided to pick up a little bit of groceries and wine in Nelson to bring with us (We have never been to the area). There isn't a place to purchase items in the area unless you go Kaslo (15 mins away). We enjoyed a nice walk down to the lake and even had our morning coffee on the beach. We plan to make this an annual vacation once a year for our family

We stayed in the upper condo and loved it! The condo is very comfortable and appealing. There is plenty of room for two couples or a small family. The condo is well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the view of the lake and mountains from the master bedroom and living room is wonderful plus there is a great deck for enjoying the view. We found the condo to be well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and liked having a nice BarBQ grill. We enjoyed our stay and it is so nice to be so close Ainsworth Hot Springs...right across the road.!

My wife and I rented the lower suite for 3 days. At first it looked great inside until we used the shower which was very awkward. The shower valves should have been placed differently to allow the curtain to close properly. Also there should have been a hand rail when entering in or out of the upper tub/shower. We also found that when sitting on the deck you could smell sewage from the bathroom suites when they where used. The walk to the beach also needs attention due to loose steps and under brush which made it difficult to walk to the water. From underneath the deck it looked like it was about to fall down plus we noticed main supports not fastened. I would also add that there was no mention of the sewage treatment from the Hot Springs in plain view from your suite.
