It was convenient to reserve our entrance by registering on line prior to arriving via their website. We paid when we arrived $18 per adult, there were towels and water available to purchase/rent. It was one large pool with several seating ledges around the outside of the free form pool - the temp was around 100 F. They had a caves portion that you could walk through that was hotter and it had a few nooks to soak in for a few minutes - it was recommended to only stay in the caves for 10-15 minutes. It was a small tunnel and the water had more mineral deposits than the large pool. We stayed for 60-90 minutes, the large pool and caves were pretty crowded. They had free lockers available and changing rooms. It was nice stop on our road trip although we had hoped it would have more amenities (beverages, food).

We stayed over New Years Weekend, and wow it was BUSY! The guests of the hotel get to use the pools longer than the general public but wish we could've swam all night or at least later than 9pm. The public was kicked out about 7pm or so, we opted for an early dinner at 5pm at the Grill and yes it was expensive but we thought it was great food. You also got the pools 8am-10am before the public but when check out is 11am and you have to wait for breakfast, there wasn't much time in the morning for it to be really less crowded. The cave was really cool, but there were people everywhere and hard to get through the tunnel without bumping into someone. Never got a spot on the outside of the caves, adults and kids hanging all over and blocking the stairs. As many of the reviews say to come on a weekday, yes would be great but doesn't work for everyone when you're just trying to get away for the weekend. The larger pool was warm, but not warm enough for how cold it was outside. Disappointing too as many kids were in there splashing water, and receiving glares from adults when ther kids were splashing water. Wish there was another pool for children only. There needs to be more spots around the pool to put your belongings, there were little cubbies and cement tables but was hoping for more chairs or something too. Great that you can take your own water bottles in and fill them up in the bathrooms. The women's locker room area was crowded and small, could never get to my locker without someone being in front of it with no awareness of their surroundings.

I have stayed here before and this was by far our favourite visit. Mostly due to the fact that it is only open to hotel guests only right now. Was so nice to go in the pool and actually have a place to sit. When we have come in the past we could barely find a place to stand. The resort should actually think about having the pools only open to hotel guests after the pandemic passes, even for just on the weekends. It made the amount we paid for the room seem reasonable. I did find it weird that I had to pay an extra $10 a night for my 3 year old, in a family room. I didn’t find this out till I got there that kids (3-17) are an extra charge, you would think it would say that when I booked? I might understand for 10 year olds and over, but 3? Just haven’t seen that before. My one suggestion for the resort would be to have a washroom available for use near the pools, instead of having us go to our rooms. When a 3 year old says he has to go to the bathroom, that means right that second. He barely made it to our bottom floor room. I understand it’s a pandemic, but the resort seems to be on top of sanitizing, so I can’t see no reason a washroom can’t be added to that sanitation walk, to make hotel guests more comfortable. So stay on the 3rd floor, so you can be close to your room washroom, especially if you have young ones. Apart from this, we had a great time, our son enjoyed the warm pools so much, as did we. Very relaxing time.

We got the worst customer service in October of last year! Not even worth one star because they double booked us, didn’t admit it (I guess because it was a gift certificate) and (even after talking to the supervisor and manager which responded in a most unprofessional manner) an just sent us away. They called the next day to (wow) apologized but only offered to book us for another date and give us an (amazing) 10% off (because, I guess, they didn’t want to honour the gift certificate)! After patronizing them as locals and fellow industry partners, I must say that I will never go back there again.

I stayed at this hotel in August 2021. We very much enjoyed our stay so we booked again this August 2022. I must say that the restaurant staff were fantastic but the cleaning staff was not. We put the sign on our door asking them to clean, At 4 pm we return to the hotel to find our room not cleaned. We noticed that the cleaning staff was in the room next to ours. I went to get a bucket of ice and when I got back they had been in our room, emptied the garbage can and left clean coffee mugs and drinking glasses. The bathroom had not been cleaned, the beds were unmade, no new towels or coffee pods etc. I called the front desk and Kim told us they probably did not clean because the were "swamped" I do not think I am being unreasonable to expect some service when I paid nearly $300.00 a night. We will not visit the hotel again. Helen

Enjoyed our stay at this resort. Our room came with a king-size bed and 2 bunk beds (Room 503), which was quite clean, quiet and comfortable with a breathtaking view from the balcony. Easy parking. The hot springs cave and pool were awesome and enjoyable. We would definitely return and recommend this resort to others.

It's such a unique place that it's hard to know where to start. On the western shore of Kootenay Lake, the views from the rooms are stunning. The room was well appointed and very commodius. Check-in was simple and friendly. Our room was just steps away from the entrance to the springs, which is the main reason for coming. The hot springs are so warm and comforting. The springs are inside a horseshoe-shapped cave that makes this place so unique. There are several levels of temperature, so everyone can find a comfort level that suits them. Of all the hot springs resorts I have visited, this one stands out as my favorite. If you find yourself in "Beautiful British Columbia," make sure your visit includes a stay at Ainsworth. You will not regret it.

The caves were incredible…… my only advice when you pay $300 plus per night is please provide lounge chairs around the pool. At least 30 comfortable lounge chairs. Cement Benches don’t cut it. Not everyone chooses to be in water. Some want to read a book poolside.

The suite was roomy and decorated tastefully. The bed was very comfortable.
The restaurant menu had a good selection of items, including items for vegetarians. The staff were excellent, providing prompt service. Angelina was our server on both nights we had dinner there. She was attentive, provided great feedback on menu items, and had a cheery, friendly disposition.
The pool and hot springs were excellent with the only suggestion being perhaps staying open until 10pm.
The only issue I had during our stay was with the wifi internet access. When I travel I like to use a VPN for an extra level of security for online banking, business, etc. For some reason I could not connect to the internet on your wifi system if I had the VPN turned on. I have not had that issue at other hotels that I have stayed at. Perhaps your internet provider can make changes to allow VPN access for an extra layer of security.
In closing, we throughly enjoyed our stay and plan to come back.

The hot springs were great! We paid for a lake view room though and we could hear all the walking and bathing that the people above us were doing till the wee hours and our room was ground level with cars driving by every few minutes right beside our balcony. Not what I was expecting for the price of the room. We also ordered a “rich tomato sauce” pasta dish that tasted like bbq sauce and our server avoided eye contact and took off on us before we could get our words out. Next time we will enjoy the beauty of the springs without staying the night.
