I had a delightful stay at this beautiful hotel built over the water. Once through the gate, after parking below an old wooden wagon and crossing the street to enter the gate with an old English vehicle on display; the view is spectacular - art work and an array of colourful flowers adorning each suite with comfortable individual sitting areas. The rooms were spotless with comfortable beds, thick luscious towels and a well appointed kitchen area with basics included such as delicious coffee. Also, the room had both a back door and front door opening onto balconies. Alert Bay is a special place to visit, almost like the clocks have stopped. The locals are friendly and you just may connect with some to see some local art. I’m looking forward to another stay to enjoy the culture, the wilderness and the friendly atmosphere. 💕

We stayed at the Seine Boat Inn for three nights at the end of September, 2021. The Inn is incredibly charming - a perfect place to stay while enjoying the peacefulness of Alert Bay. We stayed in rooms 201 and 202, and they were both lovely and very quiet (even though 201 overlooks the main street in the centre of town). The flower garden on the main floor deck was beautiful, even though it was the end of September. The owner TerryLynn was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I spent two nights this summer in the Panoramic King room in this wonderful inn located in picturesque Alert Bay. The Seine Boat Inn is situated on the waterfront and our room had a spectacular 180 degree view of the ocean with a large private deck. The room was spacious, well equipped, tastefully decorated and very clean. Both Colin and TerryLynn were wonderful hosts. We would highly recommend the Seine Boat Inn to anyone that is going to Alert Bay.

Turn right coming from the ferry to Alert Bay and you already arrive at Seine Boat Inn, a beautiful inn with rooms on poles over the water. An astonishing view over the see when you sit at your table or before your room.
At night, we heard the relaxing sound of water flowing under our sleeping place.
A well-recommended inn on an island that has quite some indigenous atmosphere!

We have stayed twice at this Inn and we love it. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and you simply sink into the simplicity of Alert Bay when you stay here. There is a little kitchenette and a grocery store across the road but as it is a very small community and not all eateries are open every day you just need to plan out your groceries or eating times. Terry is very helpful and responds to emails very quickly when you make inquiries. The location itself allows you to be there 2 minutes after you get off the ferry, doors on either side of your room allow you to step out and watch the sunrise or the sunset and the views are wonderful.

My husband and I stayed in a luxurious and spacious king room with a panoramic ocean view. We greatly enjoyed sitting on our huge, private deck that was perched directly above the sea. The Seine Boat Inn was such a peaceful retreat with wonderful hosts, Colin and Terry Lynn. We appreciated all the colourful flowers on the decks, the comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, kitchenette, and cleanliness. Even though the weather was rainy while we were in Alert Bay, we were able to relish our time in the cozy living area with wall to wall windows and a vaulted ceiling. We will definitely recommend this unique and beautiful place to our family and friends.

We enjoyed a long labour day weekend at the Seine Boat Inn in Alert Bay. TerryLynn made the reservation process and preparation for our visit so easy, answering my many pesky questions and welcoming us warmsly when we arrived after our ferry from Port McNeil. We stayed in Room 205, which is the large king bedroom right on the water. What amazing views, the sunsets are especially beautiful! The bed was very comfortable, and the room had a full kitchen, making it easy to prepare simple meals. We also enjoyed the Orca Restaurant for dinner. On the island, the Umista Cultural Centre is a must-do, and a walk to the 'back' of the island and along the rocky beach there is very peaceful. We also took a grizzly viewing tour with Sea Wolf Adventures and highly recommend that--we were lucky to see 3 pods of orca at once, all feeding in a big tidal rip. Highly recommend the Seine Boat Inn and Alert Bay!

A rare find. The best view imaginable, no matter what the weather, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the experience was wonderfully hosted by the owner. This is the place to stay to relax, to recharge, and to explore the wonderful village of Alert Bay.

I have to say that our stay at Seine Boat Inn was absolutely amazing. Our host Terry Lynn was so helpful with suggestions on things to do. The room was beautiful. Ocean views to East and West, large and wood throughout. The beds were so comfortable.
I can't wait to return next summer.

We stayed in #106 for 3 nights. The view is outstanding. So many windows that inside feels like outside. We watched the ferries come and go, many eagles, and also saw a seal off the deck.

Kitchen is sufficient, bathroom is a good size. Bed and linens were super comfy. We used the BBQ a couple of nights - super convenient. Liked the wood ambiance. Felt rustic and cozy. The other rooms on the main floor have a beautiful deck filled with flowers and a partial ocean view.

I think the only (minor) drawback was when 105 was occupied next to us (first 2 nights it was not). When I was on the deck and they were on the deck at the same time, I could hear every word of their conversation. But otherwise we loved the Seine Boat Inn and would highly recommend it.
