Recently had 3 rooms booked with a late check in upon arrival. Check in quick all request were honored. Stayed 2 nights rooms were cleaned and restocked each day. Spent 2 nights in deluxe king with jacuzzi tub and stand alone shower both worked lovely. Other rooms we had was a 1 queen room and a 2 queens nice rooms just have older comforters still. Owner was friendly and very helpful we will definitely try this hotel again thanks for clean great service

Unit was clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Amenities included coffee maker and condiments. Thoughtful that my brother & sister-in-law were placed in a room next to us. Really appreciated the air conditioner, since we had 34-35 degree temperatures. There was a family reunion staying at the motel, enjoyed children laughing. Pool was also appreciated due to the temperatures. Owner/manager was helpful and informative. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Every once in while you find a lil gem in your travels, this is one of them.,, it’s a good 1/2 point between from Vancouver to Edmonton. Rooms are clean and recently upgraded, with a few extra touches. Simple and basic, relaxing. The little village has a few basic necessities. Nice! Bookmarked for future travels.

We recently had a wedding in the area and we paid for several of our guests to stay at the Monte Carlo the night before the wedding. We choose the Monte Carlo because of generally positive reviews on TA. I chatted with the owner and felt that our guests would be in good hands. Well - something definitely happened between then and the actual stay. I think ownership must have changed. We had a difficult time communicating with the new owner and making him understand the arrangements. When our guests did stay, after being told that a little later check out would be no problem, they suddenly received phone calls the morning of check out telling them they had to get their bags out immediately or they would be dumped in the parking lot. Apparently the new owner had family coming and they arrived earlier than expected. Communication was rude and customer service was terrible. As hosts of the wedding, we felt bad that our guests were subjected to this. In short, we will never recommend this place again and will certainly never book any guests there. I would avoid and try some of the other (albeit limited) accommodation choices in Barriere.

June 24, 23 my family and I stayed at this motel. We drove in for 1 night to see friends and we’re supposed to camp in their yard, but when we saw the pool at this hotel we chose to stay there. Parking was easy, the room was clean. We checked in at 8pm and decided to take a dip in the pool. The gate was shut so we opened it and went to the pool. It was white and murky so I decided to not go in. My child and husband jumped in …5 minutes later the owner came and said it is not open and asked why are you in there. Upon checkout I voiced my frustration politely to the owner that we only came here for the pool and advertising on the huge sign in front of the hotel and online that you have a pool is false advertising. My child was so disappointed! He responded first saying we had a extra person stay in our hotel which we “cheated”and didn’t tell him about (yes a friend came by for drinks in our room for 2 hours) and that closing the pool is his decision that he is the owner and he doesn’t need to post that online, if we wanted to swim in the pool we should have asked when we booked and again when we checked in. I asked him to post the pool is closed online to stop other children from being upset, he raised his arms and voice at me so I had to leave.
I would never stay here again and would love it if people didn’t support this hotel. This is a new owner (I have heard good things about the past owners) that is rude.

I booked this room with Expedia. When we arrived, we were told that Expedia had cancelled our reservation, but the motel had made a reservation with another motel just down the street "in case we didn't know the reservation had been cancelled." This made no sense to me! Upon further investigation with Expedia, I learned that the Monte Carlo told Expedia my credit card was declined. Not true! I'm convinced the Monte Carlo gave away my reservation for some reason and then lied to me. Perhaps to accommodate a larger party, or perhaps to accommodate a stay longer than one night. Regardless, it was sneaky and deceitful and left me looking for a room at 8 pm after a full day of driving. (No, I didn't accept the room at the other motel that they had booked for me.)

Just ok...
Not the most clean of motels but safe and quiet enough.
Check in guy was super nice!
The tv remote was quite dirty! The key to room was dirty too so had to wipe both MYSELF with a cloth!
During these times...cleanliness matters MOST on choices we make!

My husband and I had a very comfortable stay here last Friday.and we will be back. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was a very quiet room even with the air conditioner on! We heard no outside noise while we were there. We were very happy with the service and look forward to a return stay when we next drive out to Edmonton.

We stayed here based simply on an ad in the BC Accomodation Guide. We were looking for something inexpensive and in the general vicinity of Kamloops. A little nervous about trying a strip motel, but at $65 this was terrific. The room was very clean and had been newly updated. New and clean carpets, pretty 'leather' headboard, queen bed, modern end tables, small fridge, microwave, coffee, a little table and chairs in a small alcove and the piece de resistance - a little electric fireplace with a flat screen tv with more channels than we needed above it. Bathroom was large and separately heated. It is a basic hotel, but very nicely done! The staff was friendly (judging by the time of year, probably the owners) and unobtrusive.
We will definitely stay here again.
