This is a quaint hotel but although on the surface the room looked clean whenI had to move the fridge the dust was about an inch thick and back of bed and fridge hadn’t been dusted for years!! The buffet breakfast choice was poor and the hit meals cold. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Would I stay here again…..NO

Stopped one night and are glad we did. It was cozy and comfortable with modern conveniences like a microwave, refrigerator, television, and coffee pot. The bed was comfortable, there was adequate lighting, and the bathroom was modern. We had to walk across the grass from the parking lot to get to our room, which was a little unusual, but it was nice to have grass and a picnic table outside the room to use. The walls are a little thin, but we did have very quiet neighbors so that wasn’t a problem for us.

My wife and I stayed one night on our way back from Vancouver. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and after a day of driving the beds were super comfortable. I would recommend the Cariboo Lodge Resort to anyone staying in Clinton and we will definitely stay here again.

Were on our way up from Vancouver to Quesnel and decided to break up the journey. Great place to stay. Shockingly good motel - lots of little things that should make it a higher star motel. Well appointed, aesthetically pleasing motel and rooms, with little things like extra hooks to hang stuff, shelves, counter next to microwave for prepping snacks, scenic deck outside rooms with tables and chairs relax and snack. They were having a particularly busy day and restaurant ran out of many items, so we were not able to eat there, but were able to get some snacks from the 24/7 Canco gas/grocer and enjoyed them on the patio. Friendly owners.

I stayed one night on my way to Prince George. This is a small, well maintained motel with character. The restaurant serves good, fresh, basic food with large portions. The staff was friendly, helpful and competent. My room was on the ground level with parking right in front. The room was clean, tidy, updated bathroom, quiet and had all I needed. There was a little fridge, microwave and coffee maker, hairdryer and a couch. It seemed like the local residents frequent the restaurant, always a good sign. There is a 24 hr convenience store almost across the street that has a little bit of everything! One recommendation I have is that the cleaning staff change to non-scented products. The sickly sweet scent was a bit overpowering when I first walked in the room. It did subside or I got used to it. The WiFi did fluctuate a bit so I wouldn't want to depend on it for work but it was fine for my needs.

Room Tip: There are two stories so you would have to carry luggage up stairs if you had a 2nd floor room.

We always book directly with a hotel as we have been burned by booking online. It was easy to book a very reasonably priced 2 night stay by phone. Super friendly gal when we checked in and later she was our waitress at their restaurant, where the service and food were great. All the covid precautions are in place so it felt very safe to stay and to eat there. The restaurant was so good we had 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts there. The hotel room is very clean and it was very quiet.

· We are not happy with booking.com or the Cariboo lodge, We are not sure who's fault this is but if I book a reservation on the booking.com website and your website confirms that booking, then we expect to be able to stay at that Lodge! We drove almost 400 kms to reach the Cariboo lodge on Saturday Aug 3, just to find out that they had no vacancy and that they had booked us at a Motel down the street that was definately not as nice as there accomodation,we were very upset, how can this be? We were told by the Cariboo lodge that it was Booking.coms fault and that they had no vacancy for weeks before this and that they dont know why they had openings on there website, they charged us the same amount that they were going to charge us for there Lodge for the not so nice Round up motel down the street. We found out by looking on the website that the Round up motel was $99.00 plus taxes a night and Cariboo lodge charged us $119.95 plus taxes a night for the Round up motel? We complained and got our money back but still, they tried to rip us off? Needless to say , our weekend turned out not very nice at all.We ended up having to stay at a motel that we didnt know we had to stay at, there was no vacancy anywhere else, I must say the owner of the Round up Motel was very nice. The Cariboo lodge could take some pointers from him on how to treat a customer. The questions I still have to say is, whos fault is this anyway?why did your website confirm my booking at a Lodge that was already booked up. I dont think I will be using booking.com again or recommending your website to anyone! How can I ever be sure I actually have a booking on your website again?? Why didnt the Cariboo lodge or booking.com get in touch with me before we left to tell us that they were full. We would not have gone to Clinton if we had known this. Booking.com has offered me no credit whatsoever! NOT HAPPY!!

When my family is in the area, we make a point to head out to Clinton and have a meal here. The food is always exceptional. We usually order the standard family-with-kids food: burgers, chicken fingers, etc. Have never once been disappointed with the food. Service is fast and friendly as well.

This is a hotel for only one night, it is simple and basic. The rooms are not big and not small, the kitchenette is in the bathroom (more ore less). the beds are comfortable and the WIFI is ok. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner ok as well. Clinton is so small you can walk from east to west in five minutes.

Visited here for dinner on a sunny evening. We used the outside patio facing the main highway through town. Service was friendly and prompt and the food was devoured by all... Must have been good. Worth stopping in for.
