The owners and the facilities are top notch, they went over and above to give us everything we need and more! They even go as far as doing our laundry, we are currently here because of work and I have never felt more wanted. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone. Very neat and well kept place.

We loved it here. We saw fox, moose, and chayote in the back field. The host and hostess makes you feel like part of the family. This is a place for people that like a quiet and restful place to enjoy.

My boyfriend, my mother and I stayed here while we were on a road trip through Northern BC. The property FAR exceeded our expectations, and we were highly impressed with the cleanliness. The place was spotless.
The sheets and towels are very high quality, the kitchen is fully equipped (complete with BBQ). The best part was Barb (the host) had lit the fire in the wood stove prior to our arrival, so the cabin was warm and welcoming when we arrived late on the chilly May evening.

The property includes large fields where Barbs four horses graze nearby.

You definitely need a car to get there and explore the surrounding area. We appreciated the solitude of the location, but don't go there if you are expecting to meet other people!

Will definitely go back if we are passing through Dawson Creek again.

Secluded hideaway, just the place to recharge your batteries!

You have a choice of staying in the cabins or the main house - the main house is a true B&B whereas the cabins are secluded and are self-catering. Cabins are beautifully equipped with full kitchens and satellite TV, clean and comfortable. Hosts are pleasant and attentive. Ideally located for easy access to Dawson Creek, Ft. St. John, and the mountains. Some years ago, I also stayed in "the pink room" in the main house and was treated to full breakfast and the same restful sleep that I got this year in the cabin. It's a great little place to visit and spend time at.

We stayed here for 2 nights, mid May. We arrived early evening and went to meet the owner, Barb, who showed us to our cabin (Moose) As it had been a very cold, damp day, with snow still lying on the ground by the cabin, Barb had set a fire in the wood burner, so was toastie warm when we went in. The cabin is a proper log cabin and extremely well kitted out. The 2 'queen beds' ( I think) were up some quite steep stairs on a mezzanine level. You would have to mind your head if you're over 6ft!! The beds were comfy and slept very well. The small kitchen had everything you needed and we made full use of everything that was on offer. We had breakfast both mornings I the main house and Barb had a great selection of breakfast foods and eggs cooked to order. Both mornings we sat and chatted with Barb before heading out. The second day was a beautiful day with blue sky and sun, if a still a little cold to start with. This made the area around the two cabins even more appealing. Enjoyed a walk around the property.

We stayed at Sunset Ranch B&B early May in one of the lovely log cabins. Sunset Ranch has rooms within the main house as well as two cabins. The hosts Barb and Rudi are absolutely delightful, warm and welcoming. They had even started the fire for us in our cabin to take the chill away. Our cabin was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed (including a full kitchen). The cabin has large windows everywhere so you could really take in the view of their beautiful property. The bed was super comfortable, there was washer/dryer facilities and the lighting in the bathroom was great (I always find hotel lighting to be terrible!). Even more impressive is that we found out that Rudi had built the cabins himself.

The sun setting was stunning and they have three very friendly horses too. We took a walk around the property in the morning, which is massive, and managed to find the beaver dams that Barb and Rudi had told us about. We didn't get to see any wildlife but apparently there is plenty around.

Breakfast was delicious, we even got to sample some homemade bread and jam from Barb. They are both such interesting people with wonderful stories, and I'm sure if time permitted, we would have talked all day. They have two very cute dogs too, who we were lucky enough to meet whilst we were there.

If we are ever near Dawson again, this will be the ONLY place that we stay!

We had a fantastic time staying at this cabin outside Dawson Creek. The owner was lovely and the cabin was perfect for the four of us for a few nights. Despite a last minute booking, the cabin was clean, spacious and warm. Perfect place to spend a few quiet days

this is a cabin, one of two, out in the woods where coyote's howl all night and a good chance to see the northern lights. We enjoyed the three horses, the small lake, and the out of the way location. They had firewood and kindling to make a fire in the fire pit which we did at night. Breakfast was homemade in the main house.
The cabin we were in even had a washer and dryer and two bedrooms. Bring apples or carrots for the horses.

"We stayed in the Moose Cabin. Did not get to see the other cabin or the rooms inside the main house. The Moose cabin felt like a home and was fully stocked with all kitchen necessities, shampoos, soaps, etc. as well as a good selection of movies."
