Detailed Reviews
Had a minor breakdown on the RV on our trip from Alaska to the lower 48, and we were fortunate enough to find this place near where we broke down. It was a littel after hours, but the staff welcomed us, and talked for a while, arranged to have a mobile repair come take a look and recommended a local place for the major repairs. We ended up staying two nights while we waited for repairs, but the kindness, friendliness and good nature the staff displayed was beyond reproach. Amazing to find such nice folks in the middle of all the craziness of COVID willing to lend a hand.
Thanks NLRV Park for making the stay a memorable one.

On our way to Alaska and decided to overnight here. The staff were friendly and accommodated our parking needs (two vehicles) with no problem. Driving and parking areas had good gravel coverage. RV hookups were good.
My only complaint is that the showers were "pay to play". 1 Loonie for 3 minutes of water.

I’ve stayed in a lot of campgrounds and the bathrooms here are clean. Wonderful private bathroom, shower, sink. ( all in one) when we checked in they were happy and kind. The owner even helped us line up our next camping location! I would highly recommend this campground

Great RV park and we are not park people. very clean facilities and the folks that own take pride in making it the best. They are onsite. I would stay longer but it’s time to head out on the Alcan. Rest and recover and get ready for the next 1500 miles.

Response from NorthernLights R, Manager at Northern Lights RV Park
Responded Oct 6, 2015
We want to thank you for your review of our RV Park. We do agree that some of our older sites are tight as some parts of the park are nearly 25 years old, long before the days of big rigs with multiple slides. Our newer sites are designed to accommodate those big rigs. We are glad that you were able to enjoy your stay. We hope that you will recommend us to family and friends. We stopped here in June of 2014 and were very impressed. The owners, Mike and Annette, are working hard to make this a first class operation. The Rest rooms and laundry room are the nicest I have ever seen in a RV park. Mike works long hours on the park to keep it nice and clean, but still took time out to help me air the tires on my trailer. We were there 4 days and he always had time to chat for a moment or to answer a question. I would urge anyone traveling the Alaska Highway to make a stop at Northern Lights!

This is a simple rv park outside of Dawson Creek. There is not much around it. The lots are level. The best thing about this park is the staff. When I checked-in, I received a nice welcome and offers for help for things to do around the area.
The park had GREAT wi-fi and we were able to upload pictures and access our favorite sites. We had electrical, water and sewer.
I did not use the showers but I took a look at them. They were the best looking showers I've seen at an rv park. The stalls had glass sliding doors and looked like private bathrooms in a house.

We had full hookups at a pull thru site and we arrived during a thunderstorm. It was such a mess outside because the ground was more dirt than gravel and there were lots of potholes filled with rain water. There was a big heap of gravel in one area but obviously they haven’t distribute it around the sites. The campground is close to town.

Response from NorthernLights R, Manager at Northern Lights RV Park
Responded Jul 25, 2018
I am sorry you saw our park during the worst downpour we've had all summer. As you are aware from being here during the storm,we received over 5"of rain in 72 hours causing floods of homes and businesses making it difficult to get the holes filled in a timely manner. We do appreciate your patience though during your stay,it was a tough time for guests and staff during those 3 days. Safe Travels! -NLRV Team
