Detailed Reviews
First off this is not a 5 star swanky resort-it does not claim to be. I think the negative reviews are from 'princess-y' type people with high expectations. It is an old hotel but the beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, wifi worked great and the air conditioner worked perfectly. It was 30c plus a couple of the days we were there and it kept up just fine. The restaurant was great and the location was perfect!

Thank you for your wonderful review. You said it all! We are not a 5 star hotel, our place is old and needs upgrading, but it is clean. We take pride in our customer service and cleanliness. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Even though the hotel was fairly old, the rooms were clean and in process of being upgraded. Beds were comfortable. The restaurant and staff were bar none! They opened the pool table for our kids to play, which kept them entertained for hours. The staff were gracious and welcoming to a group of 14 year old boys...need I say more!! The food was great and I would recommend a well behaved sports team to check this place out! We will definitely come back again. Great community, great tournament, great staff and great hotel!

Thank you so much for the nice review. I did not work that weekend, but when I came in on Monday the staff was just raving about how well the kids were. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hotel is getting old - room was too dark as there are no curtain liners to provide privacy and let in the light. The glade scented plug in room deodorizer is too powerful and too much perfume. Windows cannot be opened to allow fresh air in. I will likely not stay there again.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The pictures are incredibly misleading and do not represent the current condition of the hotel. The staff although friendly, are very unprofessional. The room seemed clean but is in such need of revamping that it made you feel uneasy so we wiped it down again ourselves to be certain. There was also a very strong stale smoke smell in the room that was very unpleasant. Hotel closes the front doors at 10pm and instructions to use the outdoor phone or buzz someone to let you in do not work, no one came. When we complained to front desk staff their solution was to have a monthly renter watch for us to let us in!? The beds are decent but that is the only positive I have. So disappointing that Howard Johnson would allow this hotel to represent their brand!

This place was terrible! It was dirty, place is falling apart. Electrical parts falling out of the walls. There was dripping noises in the walls, not in the sink or tub, I the walls. The management would not acknowledge it, claimed they knew their building and it was fine. Not enough working plugs in the room or lights, dark and dingy. Outside there was stinking garbage and liquor bottles piled up. I tried to check out a day early as I was tired and not sleeping from the dripping water noise and up above us seemed to be shift workers coming in and stomping around every night 3 am. It was just before 5 o’clock and I was to,d I had to let them know before 3 to get my money back so we stayed the extra night. We had others from our group got a discount but owner was very rude and seemed to have limited English language. The health department and fire should shut this place down.

Charged 150 dollars for a old old room that smells terrible. Towels were old and stringy. Nothing open. On the upside we only staying one night. Never again. Front staff completely lied about lounge operation. I assume one owner said bar staff went home early and the worker said its closed for Reno's. I could go on and on. Vernon is only 30 mins away. Just stay there

This place was discussing. The pillows had stains , there was black mold around the baseboards a loud noise kept going off at 1 in the morning I called the desk it took an hour for them to figure out what the noise was. After 3 months I started to receive phone calls telling me I hadn’t paid because they had made a mistake on the credit card then when I got that straightened out they still phoned back and said I didn’t pay even though it showed they had collected on my card

We were in the area for a large family function. Limited accommodation in Enderby. Many rooms were booked by family and all had the same experience. Filthy carpets, overflowing large garbage cans outside by stairwell, dumpsters at back by parking overflowing and very smelly. Either very hot water, no cold, or cold no hot. Sweltering rooms until noisy air con kicked in for 8 hours. No housekeeping, difficulty getting in at night, unfriendly, unhelpful front desk staff when they did show up. I have travelled a lot, this was the worst.

I had stayed here the last three years during the summer, with no issues and have always enjoyed it.
After waking the next day, I found makeup and lipstick on one of the pillow and a large wet patch with black mold around it. Management offered me a new room, but no apologies for the state of the room. While out I decided I couldn't stay in a place that had such a poor cleaning routine and choose not to stay and checked out. I didn’t receive any type of final bill for my stay nor was I told they were planning to charge me another day as a late checkout fee. When I called and was told it was hotel policy to charge a late checkout fee of another day if you checkout after 11 am.
Do yourself a favour and don’t stay here.

This is a horrible hotel DO NOT recommend. Very dirty looks like it hasnt been cleaned ever and front end staff are no where to be found late at night. Price was outrageous for this accommodation. I'm shocked that a Howard Johnson hotel looks like this.
