A first class trip on all points. Eagles feasting on the catch of the day, the weather perfect on a crisp sunny autumn afternoon stroll to the gazebo lookout and a warm welcoming crackling open fire to ease us into A step back in time to the glorious by gone days in the most stylish manor house. We were treated to a intimate evening with live music from a solo artist playing softly her guitar and song an ambient atmosphere with Christmas tree decorations and a delicious four course dinner served and presented beautifully and absolutely delicious, with ample time between each course served. Cara was absolutely fabulous to deal with. She made the whole evening flow with ease and perfection had a lovely chat with her afterwards she makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. We would recommend Rowena’s Inn on the river and the whole Sandpiper resort very very highly. All I can say is we will definitely be back for more. Thank you to Cara and the rest of the staff and team for making this a trip to remember. Warmest regards. Lisa O’Gara…
Great little overnight getaway. The rustic cabin is lovely and cozy, loved the comfy bed and huge tub. Breakfast was delicious, as was the welcome charcuterie plate. The scenery was breathtaking; it’s eagle season and you can watch them from your window Staff are warm and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!
The Cabins at Rowena's Inn are absolutely Lovely. We really enjoyed the cozy fireplace especially with the torrential rains we had during our stay. Nevertheless, it is lovely there any time of year. We walked down the well maintained paths to the Eagle Lookout and watched many eagles on the banks of the river. The Cabins themselves are well appointed with a fantastic shower and a bathtub that could easily accomadate someone 6 ft tall I'm sure. I would highly recommend staying here for a few nights if possible, it's the perfect place for a quiet get-a-way.
My family greatly enjoyed our comfortable stay at Rowena’s Inn on the River. Our spectacular and very spacious Chinook Log Cottage/Home had a lovely view of the Harrison River and the lagoon. In the evening we enjoyed the warmth from the cozy fireplace and the night sky view from our large well equipped balcony. We could see gliding eagles and wild ducks from our huge picture windows. This resort is situated on an expansive golf course with surrounding manicured gardens. Well tended rose gardens are also located on the grounds. All of the staff that we encountered were most helpful and friendly. Our meals and the setting at the Clubhouse were good. We don’t think, however, that it is necessary to have televisions in the restaurant as it takes away from the ambience. We will return to this beautiful place by the river.…
The most amazing getaway you will ever experience. Quiet. Relaxing. Nature. Beautiful trails. Jacuzzi soaker tub. Heated floors. Wood fireplace. River views. We loved our cabin. And the restaurant has a menu for everyone. A stay at Rowena's is a must. Thank you to the Pretty Family for sharing.
Lovely location though it’s a pity that if you’re not playing golf there are limited walking tracks on the grounds to enjoy the surroundings. 3 bed cottage was nice though cottages are bunched together and not much privacy especially when out on balcony. Our neighbors were loud and partying and they looked directly into our balcony so we ended up not using it in the warm evenings. Surprised to find no masks worn by staff in restaurant despite lots of Covid info regarding precautions taken on the website. This is one of the reasons we booked here as the owners appeared to be taking Covid seriously but didn’t see sings of that in practice. Also the glassware in the cottage was visibly dirty. Dishwasher didn’t work properly. Overall a nice stay in a nice location but not sure if I would go back as a little overpriced.…
My husband and I booked the Golf, Stay and Dine package and it was fantastic. We stayed in the Inn - Betty Anne's Room - which is one the rooms on the second floor with the outdoor patio. It was like going back in time with all the charming antique furniture, photographs and collectibles. The course was lovely, however they were aerating it on the days that we booked (mid- Sept) which was a little disappointing but we made the best of it. Looking to forward to playing it again when the course is in better shape. After our golf game, we would have cocktails on our upstairs patio overlooking the golf course. The pool was closed so just something to keep in mind if you book in September. The food in the dining room was absolutely amazing with nice hearty portions! Last but not least, the staff were amazing and offered one of the best service experiences we've ever had. The drive is 3.5 hours from Penticton but well worth it. I highly recommend Rowena's Inn on the River.…
The luxury cabins are awesome!! Every amenity possible. Good views of the mountains and river. Highly recommended. A bit far from the restaurant but that is okay. I have written to ask about Christmas, no reply. Too bad the inn was not open. Check out was a bit shoddy. No one gave me a final bill
We were here in January for a friends birthday and stayed at the Inn. Talk about a charmer! Lovely rooms, charming old world meets new world style, and wonderful hosts. The food at the on-site restaurant was excellent. We all agreed we would stay there again in a heartbeat. It would be nice to try one of the cabins as well.
With the Covid virus and social distancing we had to get married early and we’re not sure what we would be able to do for a honeymoon. We called the Sandpiper resort row windows and they have cabins available and they had their restaurant open with takeout food. It worked perfectly. They gave us a special rate that included breakfast $50 meal credit a bottle of wine. Most of all it was the customer service. The receptionist Aleksandra was amazing. She helped organize things communicated with us and even left us a really beautiful note because it was our honeymoon. Kelly in the restaurant so helpful and so customer service oriented. She even informed us one night to remind us that the kitchen would be closing as we have not ordered supper yet and wondered if we wanted anything. Customer service is nonexistent in many places. I was in the customer service industry for years. These staff members deserve a raise because not only can they spell customer service they are customer service. We stayed in one of the new cabins a one bedroom and it was amazing we had eagles sitting on the edge of a pool right beside us. We went down for a stroll along the Eagle viewing area it was beautiful by itself. You wouldn’t want to miss this place…
