My husband, dog and myself stayed at the Wasa Lake Motel for two nights. We had low expectations, as the website is amateur and we knew it was an old building. But we were surprised. While the building is older, it is well maintained and updated. We had a kitchenette with a brand new fridge.

The motel is in a perfect location. Far enough from the highway that you cannot hear the traffic, and walking distance to the public beach and campgrounds.

The owners, a dutch couple are wonderful people and very accomodating. They had no problem when we wanted to check out late. And they allow animals, which we appreciated as we have a dog.

The rooms are a perfect size. Not too small. There was lots of room for all of our equipment (we were in the Rocky Mountain Triahtlon), luggage and our dog's kennel and toys. The room was also very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes you would need. The only issue I had was that the Motel offered coffee, but not tea - no big deal really, but still something I noticed.

I would bring your own towel. The towels they offer are small.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this Motel to anyone that wants to stay right by the lake.

Had another Great time at Wasa this past week and a large part of the good times was knowing we had a nice, clean, comfortable place to relax, eat and sleep at the WASA LAKE MOTEL.
Karl & Katharina Guggisberg always go out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They are really good hosts. Looking forward to visiting Wasa again soon. Hope to see it in the winter maybe and take in some skiing. We'll be staying at the Wasa lake Motel again for sure!

Very Satisfied Customers,

The Gervais Family

I have stayed at the Wasa Lake motel many times in my travels while living in Western Canada.

This time on a motorcycle trip from my home on the east coast, I stopped in to stay overnight. In fact I rode my longest most tiring day, bypassing many alternatives to stay here.

The Swiss couple look like someone from Cacoon, fit and very friendly.

It's an old motel but the rooms are tasteful and very well kept with many updated to modern standards.

It's very reasonable overnight and always seems busy, and no wonder with the splendid friendly service. It's one of those things in life that you can count on, like Phx weather or the Maple Leafs losing ):

Wasa Lake itself is very pretty, has a great warm sandy beach and a huge provincial park. I wasn't camping this trip but I did enjoy (again) my stay at the motel.

If you're passing by, be sure to spend a night or three here.

Cheers

My husband and I stayed here for a week to visit friends in the area. We requested a room on the ground level with a kitchen. It's an older quaint motel, close to the road but Wasa is a quiet lake community. Our room (#2) was very clean, large with 2 beds, a full size frig and stove, microwave and the kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cooking supplies. The mattresses need be updated as they were older and a bit firm for us, but the pillows were new and fluffy. The towels need to be upgraded as well but they were ok. It's has Shaw satellite, Wifi, soft water and is pet friendly. I stayed here a year ago for a few days which is why we returned to this motel in the area. We would definitely stay again.

Motel has wi-fi. Walking trails nearby. Rooms are clean. Average furniture, towels and bedding. Reasonable room rates. There are kitchens in some rooms but walls are thin and noise from adjoining rooms can travel. Managers on site 24/7.

Very happy with the accommodations at this clean, comfortable motel. It was extra nice to have the kitchen! I found the people who live in Wasa Lake are friendly and very helpful, and the owners of this motel are particularly nice.
We will return!

We didn't expect much when booking a room at this affordable price - we were just going to be there to sleep, and spend all day at the beach. The unit exceeded our expectations! Very clean, comfortable, dated but well maintained. We had a full sized fridge and stove in the kitchen, and a full sized tub & shower in the bathroom. We looked forward to coming back to the comfort of our room at the end of the day :) The owners were very friendly and helpful finding a room that best suited our needs. There was no air conditioner, but they advised us to close all the windows in the mornings which kept our room cool all day. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!
