We’re a really great restaurant. With rooms. We found the best of the Okanagan’s natural bounty and put it all in one place. You’re going to like it here. Trust us. Naramata Inn is over a hundred years old, but we feel more youthful than ever. And people feel different when they stay here. The good kind of different. It’s a bit hard to explain—you should probably just come discover it for yourself.

We called late and were fortunate to book a room on a long weekend. Enjoyed visiting a couple of wineries on the way to the Inn, and arrived with wine, cheese, beer and fruit. The wrap around deck off all the rooms are continuous but angular to provide space and great views, and the ideal location for an afternoon refreshment and snack.
We went for early dinner and happily were provided a sofa at the perfect height to eat supper but also ultra comfortable to sit back and relax and chat. Very romantic and comfortable way to sit side by side and enjoy an evening of refreshments and excellent food and service. Longest we have ever been in a restaurant!
Although it was a reasonably priced set menu, we chose to go ala carte and chose an appetizer and main. The sommelier had time to chat and was so enjoyable! Thanks Ashley!
Service was at the pace we wanted and we saw others come and go but we wanted to dawdle and take in the experience. It is probably considered a pricey restaurant but it has a very high level of quality in every way. Easy for us to do the higher 20% tip in this environment.
Make it a destination. It’s our second time in 3 years and will be repeated again down the road.

We are so happy that we stayed in Naramata and at the Naramata Inn. We loved the peaceful vibe and the tranquility. It was so relaxing.

Beautiful grounds, delicious food at both restaurants and the included breakfast was the perfect way to start our day. Staff are friendly, gracious hosts.

The rooms are small. That's what you get when you visit an historical inn. The beds are comfortable, linens are luxurious, and the claw foot tub was perfect after a day of exploring.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the three dinners that we ate at the main restaurant and Eliza.

Thank you!

This a very charming and elegant inn located near many wineries in the okanagan area and near the lake. The room is well decorated and very comfortable. The inn has its own restaurant which we found to be excellent and well priced given the quality of the food. The breakfast each morning was very good. Their scones and other baked goods were amazing. The entire staff were very accommodating and helpful. @ small drawbacks. Room cleaning was ok, not great and since it is an older building you can hear the people in the room next to you. otherwise I would not hesitate to recommend this inn to anyone who wants to visit the okanagan.

Went to the hotel restaurant tonight to celebrate my wifes' birthday with friends. The fixed menu with three courses was good, portions were small and at $80 per person you are paying for the experience of eating at the Inn. Where I felt we were hosed was with the "wine pairing" at $50 per person which amounts to two 6 oz glasses of wine with the first two courses and a small glass of desert wine with desert. Unfortunately these days if you assume you're going to get good value without asking in advance what your going to get for your money you're going to be disappointed. We live locally and are in the wine business, not tourists. That will be our last dinner at the Inn.

Hello 8trueadvisor Thanks for celebrating with us for your birthday celebration. We were happy to hear that you thought dinner was good, but sorry to hear that you didn't agree with the value you received with your wine pairing. I do hope you asked to speak with our sommelier or a manager on duty - I'm certain they would have been happy to provide you with an additional splash if you felt the quantity was lacking. We genuinely value our local friends, wine suppliers as well as our visitors and I apologize that you left disappointed. We hope to see you again sometime & thanks again for dropping us a note.

The Naramarta Inn is probably the most historic and iconic building in the quaint village of Naramarta. At first glance it looks quite colonial, but step inside and the decor and standards are fantastic.

I have to comment about the staff - they were all very friendly, accommodating and happy to help. We were visiting due to a wedding on Naramarta beach (2 minute walk from the hotel), but the weather wasn’t too good, so the folks on reception gave us all the umbrellas they had so we could keep the bride, groom and musicians dry (thank you so much for that).

We booked in for Dinner one night, and were very impressed with the quality of the food and the thought that had gone into each dish. I’d very much recommend eating at the hotel for sure. Breakfast was more Continental style, and I do recommend the home baked scones, which were excellent !

The hotel is an excellent place if you want piece and quiet, as well as being central for the 40 or so local vineyards, which are worth visiting as the food and drink is fantastic at these places. If you’re into walking or cycling there is a hire store across the road for all your needs.

Great place, thank you for taking care of us.

Very nice people, but the room was small, had no closet, one small two drawer dresser and no place to set your luggage. One quarter of the room was used by a vintage footed tub. If you wanted to stay in your room and soak then you might like it, but it would be virtually impossible to us the tub without getting water all over the floor. There was a nice shower except the water leaked on the bathroom floor. There was no counter space in the bathroom. There were hooks on the door and pegs on the wall for clothes. You have a balcony space that was shared by others and the sound carried right through the walls. We had to remind other guests their partying late was heard clearly in our room. We stayed there for several days and each day the breakfast was virtually the same. Yogurt with granola and a nice baked roll. A little variety would be nice, but they had no cook for the breakfast meal. They are very proud of the food there and we had dinner one night and the food was quite good except you had to order either a two course meal or a three course meal which we thought was over priced and inflexible. We ate at other places like Poplar Grove which is also upscale, but had more variety and excellent food and better value for the cost. The Penticton area is an outstanding, but if were to visit again we would stay closer to Penticton rather than Naramata which is up a road that deadends

Dear Alan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate and consider all guest comments and use them to improve and grow our services. We continue to make adjustments to provide guests with all the ingredients for a great stay in a place that is like no other. As a 114-year old heritage building, you are absolutely right that Naramata Inn does not offer the same amount of closet and storage space as a typical hotel or air bnb. Since taking over the Inn in early 2020 we've been listening to guest feedback while walking the line of honouring many of the special qualities that make this turn-of-the-century building one of a kind. Like the village of Naramata itself - a dead-end to some and an oasis to others - Naramata Inn is certainly not the perfect fit for all travelers. It is different, and that is the point. Sorry to hear that the bathtub, outdoor space and breakfast did not meet your expectations and that you found the menu both overpriced and inflexible. That is disappointing as we are extremely committed to presenting our diners with a beautiful, thoughtful, memorable and - above-all - delicious menu of in-season ingredients. Buying local, and sourcing the best ingredients from as close as possible from small-scale, top quality farmers, suppliers, and artisans simply is more expensive and that is reflected in our prices. Thank you for giving us an opportunity. We are thrilled to hear that you really enjoyed your experience at Poplar Grove; you are right, they are wonderful too.

We had the pleasure of staying one night in the Suite at the Naramata Inn and we ate dinner and brunch at their restaurant. If you are looking for excellent food and quaint accommodations then this is your property. We were very impressed with the service. This is the first time we had sophisticated, personal and proactive service from a thinking staff in the Okanagan. Every effort was made to accommodate our requests. Jonathan reached out to us before we arrived to determine if we had any specific requests for our stay and was personable and helpful during our stay. The staff are all well trained and accommodating. The venue itself is a very old building which has been updated with tasteful decor creating lovely modern scenes in a historical context. Our suite was well appointed with living room, dining area, two bedrooms and a large bathroom with claw foot tub. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. The suite has access to your own private patio next to the restaurant’s back outdoor patio. The suite is large enough for two couples or a family of 4. We will look forward to trying a king bedroom next time. Some have complained of thin walls. My view is that you’re staying in a historical building and the structure is part of the charm. We had no noise issues at all in the suite so if you’re noise sensitive book the suite.

The dinner was simply superb. For both of us it was some of the best food we have tasted in BC, or anywhere in the world. Chef Ned Bell (formerly of Yew Restaurant at Four Seasons) has created something special in the Naramata. My fiancé has food allergies and this was accommodated without issue or loss of flavour - not easy to do. Service from Zach was on point. A highlight our our trip was meeting and learning from sommelier Emily Walker who, after learning what we normally like to drink, suggested wines from the region and taught us about the terroir of the Naramata. She had worked with Ned Bell at Yew.

Overall, we had a surprisingly excellent stay in a lovely cultured gem created by the new owners of the Naramata Inn. I will add that all COVID protocols were adhered to. I was impressed with how they were understanding and flexible on cancellation if we did not feel comfortable travelling.

We will be back without hesitation and highlight recommend this property.

When you go to an “up-market” restaurant, you expect to get value for money. My cousin and I were sorely disappointed. We ordered the beef (which was an extra $10 on top of the base price).
We were presented with extremely small portions of tough meat and the whole plate was cold.
We sent it back.
Our companions had ordered other items and were satisfied.

An absolutely superb stay at the Naramata Inn on the shores of Okanagan Lake. With only 12 rooms, all over 100 years old, it was a very warm, intimate setting. The charm of the historic building is part of the uniqueness of the experience. The 3 course meal with wine pairings in the Restaurant was a culinary delight, and the continental breakfast was beautifully laid out with no rushed feeling to get out the door!

Beautiful building. Not by the water. Very well laid out land but not very suitable for vacationers (no swimming pool, no terrace for relaxation). Heartwarming welcome. We appreciated the dated side of the room but the comfort was mediocre for a 3-night stay. Tiny deluxe queen room. No wardrobe to store clothes. 2 drawers only. Impossible to put away the suitcases. Average comfort bed. Impossible to open the windows because there are no mosquito nets. Very nice bath in the room and good bathroom. Bad soundproofing. No room service except replacement of towels when requested. Very basic continental breakfast. The same for the 3 days. The restaurant is superb and deserves 5 stars. So the accommodation is there to complement the restaurant. We come for 1 evening with a small baggage. Not for a stay of several evenings. I would add that the price of the room was very disproportionate to the value received.
