We stayed here for our anniversary and loved this property! We were in a cabin, it was really nice on the inside, and the balcony overlooking the ocean was amazing. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was quiet and we really enjoyed our stay here. My only advice would be to book the bistro in advance as it was full the weekend we were there. We had to go into town for meals which was fine as well. No complaints about this lovely place!
I camped here for one night, and stayed in Cabin 3 for one night in September 2020. We stayed in campground 64, which is right on the ocean, but has some shelter from some bushes and trees. Despite the inclement weather, it is a beautiful site. You have views of the ocean on one side, and views of the estuary on the other side. The bathrooms are generally quite clean, and there are paid showers and laundry facilities as well. There weren't that many people tenting, due to the weather, but there were quite a few folks in RVs. Lots of people coming down to fish right off the shore. You have amazing views of the mainland mountains, and out to Malcolm Island. We spent the second night of our stay in Cabin 3 which is a cute and cozy, and right on the ocean. It has a little covered balcony that you can drink your coffee on and watch for whales. The cabin was clean and tidy, with everything that you need for a stay for a few nights. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. It was a treat to fall asleep listening to the rain on the roof, and wake up and drink coffee and watch the waves.…
I have the fondest memories of going camping here with my grandparents when I was a kid and I am so happy that I get to share this amazing place with my children now. The resort offers a good variation of different camping sites, depending on your needs. The views from Cluxewe are something else with the sunsets being especially spectacular! Also the staff is kind, friendly and awesome :)
This is our 4th time here, and the beach is beautiful! Could not believe the fish jumping right close to shore, it was amazing to see. Beach is not crowded, but rocky. Do not drink the water! When I had a shower in our trailer it smelled swampy, then I decided to fill the tub a little to see the colour and it was pretty brown. We looked at the water filter and it was mucky brown! Bring your own to drink, and to make tea and coffee. The woman in the office was a lovely person, very friendly.
I made our reservation for 2 R.V. sites with Angela, who was delightful & extremely helpful. We stayed in sites 1 & 2. Full service & very large sites right across from the beach. The grounds are tidy & well looked after. We look forward to making this an annual trip. Thank you again Angela for taking such good care of us!
