Elaine, the proprietor at Takahashi Gardens, is seriously committed to fulfilling guests' needs. Before I even arrived, I was in email contact with her about activities, restaurants, and the like. I had a special request for the room and she gladly handled it with no fuss. Once we arrived, she spent time showing us around and making sure all of...

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the Nikko Cottage to celebrate a special birthday. Serene, beautiful setting, handsomely designed, Takahashi Gardens is a great base for exploring the Sunshine Coast. Elaine is the perfect host, very helpful in getting us acclimated to the area. We loved our time there and hope to return soon.

Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable at Takahashi Gardens. It was such a treat to wake up and eat breakfast on your beautiful patio watching the water. Although I was there for a work trip, you made it feel like a vacation! The Yama suite was clean, spacious and the kitchen was stocked with coffee (which I love!)....

I would heartily recommend Takahashi Gardens to anyone who wants to get away from it all. Nestled back in the inlet you have a great view of the water and the surrounding woods. The owner has an eye for design and everything in the cottage was clean and neat. I was working in Sechelt that week and when I concluded...

I can't say enough of how fabulous my stay here was - I found Takahashi Gardens online, and was immediately drawn to this little slice of heaven. What makes this place so special is the little details - Elaine has not just created a place to stay away from home, she's created a space that feels like home while you...

I was overwhelmed by this beautiful place and its incredibly accommodating hostess! The attention to detail that Elaine provided was outstanding from the time I submitted my on-line reservation to the time I departed. My...

We stayed for two nights in September at the Yama Suite. It was very clean, well decorated, and quiet. Elaine thought of everything right down to the great coffee and snacks in the kitchen. She is truly a great host and she made sure we could make the most of our visit. This particular suite afforded us lots of privacy...
