I attended The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts. The host, Tanya was fantastic in communicating. I was greeted by Gabriella, another host who welcomed me with a smile. She was very kind to drive me back and forth to my events.

We were having a 50th anniversary party at the Provincial Park nearby and figured instead of trying to get in the same day on the ferries, we would find a place for all of us to spend the night. There were 14 of us, and when we saw that you could book all the rooms here for one price, we...

Tanya and her sidekick Peter are very friendly and helpful with any requests at the hostel, especially about attractions. I felt very comfortable and safe here, being on my own. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook, even some spices. The patio/deck was cute with a BBQ and several sitting areas to enjoy meals outside. The pots of flowers...

the shared room was dark and old but fine, I am sure summer would have been much nicer on that patio for the higher hostel price you pay at least a place to stay for the night. You can walk about 20 minutes to the water

I checked online and booked it. Comparing to other places, I love their location as the downtown center, close to sea and beautiful scenery too. The hosts are friendly; the other travelers are kind and helpful too. All the facilities we needed are there for use. I would definitely visit there again. Only do not book it through Expedia which...

Seemed to be o.k. for a hostel in a small town with basic amenities until later in the eve when ready for bed we found an unusual amount of sand?.... in the sheets??? Not a comfortable sleep and a very uncomfortable feeling to have while attempting to sleep.Thinking sheets weren't changed between guests?......GROSS!!!!

Tanya is a fantastic host making all sorts of arrangements so that everyone's accommodation needs are addressed. Beds and bedrooms are very comfortable. Bathrooms and common areas including kitchen are very clean. The deck is just a wonderful place for a meal, a BBQ or a rest. I highly recommend the place.

The Upper Deck was able to accommodate us last minute with a late arrival after our ferry was delayed and we missed our connection. We only stayed one night, but Hugh, the owner, spent ages giving us awesome advice for what to see in the area. As my guidebook had next to nothing on the visitor sights in the sunshine...

We spent 1 night at this hostel on our way to the upper Sunshine Coast. This is an average hostel quite conveniently located on the north part of Wharf Avenue. There are 3 shared washrooms and they are clean. The kitchen is clean and of a fair size with necessary kitchen wares. Complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water are provided....
