My husband and I stayed with Marsha for 3 nights in April; our only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough! We travel to the Coast at least 4 times a year to visit my elderly parents; due to COVID, we didn't want to stay with them. We stayed in the Sunset suite and it was amazing. Large and spacious, with fabulous views. I laid in bed each morning and watched the ocean. Marsha is an amazing cook and breakfast was outstanding every day! She respects your privacy in yet asks if you need anything else when she brings you breakfast. The room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable and cozy, the steam shower and super jet tub was such a treat. There were tons of fuzzy towels and we appreciated that as well. We had a hard time choosing the hot tub, jet tub or steam shower so rotated between all! The little kitchen has all you need and grocery stores are a two minute drive. You have your own BBQ and we made a lovely steak dinner one night and it was amazing and romantic. Marsha has beautiful gardens and it was easy enough to find the location. Long and short, outstanding service, cleanliness, beautiful changing views, comfortable room and we will definitely stay again just to have down time on our own. My only one suggestion would be to add plastic wine glasses (we went and bought a couple from the Independent store), so that guests are not taking glass to sit in the hot tub. We are conscious of that as we have our own hot tub and no glass is allowed. I was very hesitant to give 5 stars but ONLY because we selfishly don't want it to be fully booked next time we come back! Thank you Marsha. :-)…
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Beach Hideaway, in the Eagle Suite. The suite was very clean (cleaner than most hotels we have been to) and the bathroom was lovely and spacious. We had more than enough towels to last us the entire stay. The highlight would have to be the view and the private hot-tub! Honestly, Marsha has gone out of her way to go above and beyond to create a luxurious, memorable experience. From the outdoor firepits to the delicious breakfasts, this was definitely the romantic getaway we were looking for. Well done! We will definitely be back, it was one of the best experiences we have ever had!
I stayed 2 nights in the eagle suite at the Beach Hideaway. The view and the Hideaway property is spectacular. The Eagle Suite is what you might expect in a 5 star luxury hotel room. The suite was spotless with a kitchenet, large queen size bed, TV, beautiful bathroom with large jet nozzle soaker tub & shower. Outside on your private deck is a barbeque and a private hot tub. A highlight was the awesome breakfasts that Marsha would deliver to your suite. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to the Sunshine Coast.
Had a lovely two night stay in the Eagle's Suite over the long weekend. Breakfast's were delicious and loved the private hot tub. Our room was clean and spacious and had a spectacular view, rain or shine. Thank you Marsha for your hospitality.
We eloped at the Beach Hideaway this summer. And I wouldn’t recommend it. The Pros: The location is amazing, beautiful views, impossible to take a bad photo, lovely space down by the water to have your ceremony. The breakfast was delicious. The suites were spacious and great for our entire party. The Cons: It just wasn’t very clean. I wanted to enjoy a bath but found the tub covered in soap scum. My friends tub was the same. The coffee provided is terrible. The price of the elopement package does not match with what you actually receive from Marsha. Maybe she’s finding the uptick in business too much to handle, but she stopped responding to my emails and didn’t provide much information about what would actually happen until the day of the wedding. And finally, Marsha invites herself to the ceremony, which was a bit weird considering our families weren’t even present, and she did not ask to attend, just showed up. Perhaps we would have felt more inclined to have her attend had she given us any customer service? I think it would make better financial sense to rent a private property for the weekend and do it yourself. …
