Excellent Property for the Price. Clean, Freindly, Well situated Pleasently surprised by the quality of this location based on rate. It was clean, checkin was easy and staff was friendly. Great eating establishment was out the door
Room was great. The room was very clean and comfy. The bed was comfortable and ut was a quiet motel. Staff was great and the place is pet friendly which is a huge deciding factor for us since we usually travel with our dog. Walking distance to pretty much everything including the beach. Overall a great experience
Typical highway stop type of motel. There was nothing memorable nor horrible about the property. It was quiet and reasonably clean. I found a single ant on the bed when I pulled back the covers, but it wasn't a concern. Breakfast was typical continental.
Hey it's a Super 8, not a Westin. So you expect things not to be perfect. However, for the rate I paid, on a weekend in August, I might expect more. Anyway, the tv remote on/off button didn't work, we could deal with that. We went to Sicamous to use the beach and this is the most convenient hotel from which to walk to the beach. We didn't find anything glaringly wrong with the place, it's rough around the edges with a clientele that matches (lotsa pot and pets) but they are working with what they have.
I checked in to the Super 8 in Sicamous on May 19 2020. I had booked their Deluxe Queen Suite for $151 including taxes and fees. The problems were as follows: There was no remote for the TV. The clerk found me a remote but it didn't work on the TV. He suggested using the buttons in the TV, and when I asked for a discount he said he could give me 5 dollars. That's an insult in itself. After only 30 minutes in the suite the smoke detector started emitting a loud beep about once a minute. Finally, I discovered that there were dead bugs all over the room around the baseboards and furniture (dozens, maybe more than a hundred). I packed up my car and then went to the hotel office to check out. I asked for a refund and the clerk refused. I asked him to call his manager, and his manager refused to give me a full refund. They offered a $50 refund (30 percent), but I told them that was unacceptable. I am now pursuing the matter with Wyndham Hotels. This place is a dump. I'm pretty sure that the smoke detector issue violates safety standards and the bug infestation violates health laws. I recommend you stay somewhere else. I'll never stay at a Super 8 again.…
