The motel facilities and staff were above and beyond for our family reunion. The motel has quaint, well appointed rooms, outdoor swimming pool, basketball net/court area, large lawn for activities and the kids to run and play, huge barbecue area, with gazebo and 4 large grills. Our pets were welcomed and there was lots of room for us to distance from other quests to not bother them with our large group. The motel owner and staff were thoughtful and offered their assistance to support our weekend and time together. We travelled from all areas of western Canada to meet up in this central location and it was so worth it. Highly recommend this motel!
We didn't make reservations n they had a suite left...it was very clean, nice n affordable...the people running the motel were very friendly. We were very tired when we got there so we didn't check out the outdoor pool but it looked nice...they also had a nice BBQ area. Highly recommend.
We stayed at the Paradise Motel for one night en route to Alberta, and were thankful to find reasonable accommodation that would accept our dog. It’s a 1950’s style roadside motel. Our unit had two bedrooms and a small kitchen, and was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The location is good, being close to the highway and walking distance to a decent pub. On the grounds there is a covered BBQ area, and in the summer there’s an outdoor pool. A nice place and recommended.
After reading some of these reviews I was unsure but we had it booked and went forward. So glad we did, yes older and not fancy...but clean and well maintained, with everything you would ever need in the kitchenette. Pool and BBQ area was amazing and well used in the 4 HOT days we were here. The owner was always checking in to make sure everything was good, and after my mother asked about the beautiful walnut tree we found a bag of walnuts on our door when we returned from our family gathering. Can't say enough good about our stay. I think after reading the reviews it's pretty simple, this is there home and business...by respecting the few rules they have in place just like any other hotel has you are in for an amazing stay. Will for sure recommend and return to this little 💎. Thank you again Cynthia for making my stay with my parents such a great trip to Sicamous.…
Great family atmosphere at this motel. Stayed here twice and will be back. Rooms are a good size, most are kitchenette which makes a very comfortable and affordable stay. There's a great pool and right down town, close to all amenities and the local beach. There is also a barbecue you can use with a nice picnic area. The owners here are very friendly and it's such a homey feel, we can sit outside or room and there's always someone to chat with. I will definitely be back
Drunk owners. My wife and I stayed at this hotel recently. The owners were completely unprofessional and intoxicated, berating a family because their young daughter walked barefoot. Will not return and don’t recommend this hotel for anyone.
So I was traveling to bc this weekend for a funeral With my pitbull who is an emotional Support dog and very well behaved . I looked online and decided paradise motel would be a nice spot to check in for the night and get some sleep before continuing on our journey in the morning . as it states dog friendly on the site I figured it would be perfect . We pull in ring the phone and ask if there are any rooms available . The dragon lady says mayyybeee and comes to unlock the door . Proceeds to start check us in and asks if we have a dog . I said yes . She says what kind ? I said pit bull . As I am about to tell her that she is an emotional Support dog and very well behaved she proceeds to Cut me off with the rudest snottiest noooopppee nopppeee noooppeee I’ve ever heard . I said umm ok ... do you know of anywhere we can go ? She’s shrugs and says Dunno ?? And then proceeds to gets mouthy with me and followed us outside to my truck ... ( I’ll admit I shot back some choice words smh I felt like she called my child ugly and weren’t welcome basically :( ) anyways her site does not state any breed or weight restrictions and her attitude is that of an absolute nightmare dragon lady and would like to save anyone else the humiliation and just general unpleasantness this experience carried .... if I could give less than one star I would , I am thankful we didn’t have to stay there in the end though ! Best western in sicamous and every single other hotel we stayed for the week were amazing. So If traveling with dogs or dignity avoid this little hell hole called paradise motel 🤮…
I stayed at The Paradise Motel this year for one week. Right from the time I checked in from the time I left I was impressed. Cynthia the owner is wonderful, very kind, professional and treats her guests like they are family :) The property is a bit older, but in excellent condition and immaculately clean (which is a key thing for me)! It is a very quiet property just off the hwy (still very quiet considering how close to the hwy it was), safe and very well maintained. It was off season so the outdoor pool and gazebo area (with picnic tables and bar-b-q's) was not open. The room had everything you needed, fridge, stove, table and chair set, all cooking equipment and they even had lovely lawn chairs outside each room so you can enjoy the fresh air in comfort. It also is walking distance to the lovely little downtown area. It was my first time at this lovely property and it won't be my last. I definately found my secret little retreat in the Shuswap! Thank you Cynthia for being a lovely host and I really look forward to coming to stay again with you, hopefully this summer! 100% highly recommend this property, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!…
I love staying at the Paradise. It’s been here a long time as I’ve been coming for close to 45 years. My parents , brother and sister and their family have also stayed many times. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there are plenty of chairs, a table and private sleeping area and full sized refrigerator. The owner always goes out of her way to make me feel comfortable and we have a friendly chat almost every day. I believe in loyalty and will continue to stay here.
We stayed at this motel for 1 night with family. I must admin I was very surprised how good this place was. Usually all motels or hotel around BC in lower price range are outdated and poorly managed but this location was different. Accommodation was super clean with friendly staff member. Pool great, my son had a blast :-) Good night sleep. Room included TV, wi-fi and kitchenette with all appliances. It looks like the owner cares about guest and they comfort. Highly recommend!
