Detailed Reviews

We got here late after going through two other cities with no vacancies. It was basically a place to sleep and clean up, before we went on our way. The room had a living and dinning area, a kitchenette, the wash room sink was separated from the bathroom.which I thought was nice. It was a nice hotel, not the fanciest, but nice. There is also a restaurant onsite, but not attached to the hotel from what I see.

Room Tip:Â The parking seemed tight with few open spaces near the room when I went. As I said a restaurant...

We got a last minute reservation and needed it per friendly for our two dogs. The staff was excellent and accommodating and took great care of us. The room was OK, met our needs but could use some updating. The restaurant was also good and the staff very friendly. For the price and convenience it is a very solid choice for travelers with pets. Didn’t hurt there was a Dairy Queen right next door…….

Came in late looking for a place to stay one night during an impromptu road trip to AK and was lucky enough to meet Serge working the front desk. He instantly took care of us and found us a room. Also, made sure we had information about local amenities and got us settled in after a long day of driving. Serge was extremely professional and made us feel welcome.

I'm always concerned when I'm checking in to a hotel and the front desk person says if your not satisfied we can move you to another room or hotel, really that's your welcome line? So I went to my room and gave it a good going over, clean top to bottom, relief. Yes this hotel
Is dated but the room is clean the bed is comfortable, housekeeping keeps the rooms in top shape. There are breakfast coupons for the restaurant that start fairly early but I'm gone to work long before the onsite restaurant is open in the morning. In the afternoon is a restaurant/bar great for a good beverage after a long day at work. Bar side no kids nice if you still have to do some after hours work. The food is good to with a wide selection for most tastes.

My friend and I stayed at the Aspen on March 27. I was very impressed to see that there is a sign in the reception that if you are not happy with the room they will show you another. If you are still not happy they will refund your money. Wow, I thought that was a nice touch. I stayed in a 5 star hotel in Cancun two weeks ago at a premium cost and they had no such ability to change our room that we weren't that happy with. Also, free breakfast for two and reasonable room rates for a motel. Clean and very nice service by the front desk. Great job Aspen.

Each stay has just been very pleasant and I have return on every trip during 2011. Reading the other visitors comments it is evident that the majority agree. Those disagreeing patrons should have kept in mind that the accommodation section is an Inn. All the staff make you feel as if it’s a home away from home. Rooms are clean, very comfortable and have reverse cycle air-conditioning. The pluses to this are also the hot tub & sauna facilities. Extremely good value for your dollar.
Complementing the accommodation is the Riverhouse Restaurant and Lounge. The architecture is a landmark for the town, let alone the generous and superb meals offered. The staff are tremendous; polite and efficient and that’s before you finish your meal and meet Amy, Jade, Melissa and Kristin in the Lounge. All the staff are awesome and have a unique harmonious quality that when you leave you feel as if you are saying goodbye to friends.
Regardless of age; single; couple; family; vacationing or business the Apen Inn & Riverhouse Restaurant/Lounge covers it all and is a venue that will enhance your life experiences.

The rooms are older but have been updated. Staff are helpful and they give you a $10 voucher per night for the restaurant and lounge which are very nice and have good food and good service. There is also a pool and hottub. For the price this place is pretty hard to beat.

The night we checked in they ran out of hot water There was dog piss on both beds in the room they put us in...wow! We received no discount but were stuck staying there. Never again... when we told the front desk they simply said sorry. Not good enough for me to be honest.

Went here with two children and three adults. The prices are average and you can get breakfast until 2:00. A pretty good selection on the kids menu. They offer cups with kids to prevent spilling for young children which is beneficial. My chicken strips were average and the eggs bennies were good. Overall the food is average we felt.
