Thanks to Barbara and Christoph we enjoyed an amazing time watching salmons, biking and hiking the surrounding hills, cannoning the rivers, discovering the glacier lakes by a seaplane and relaxed evenings in the marvelous gardens. The atmosphere was always very warm and friendly. The Logpile architecture was very impressive; the food very rich and tasty. What we loved especially was the famous Birchermüsli for breakfast. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and furnished with passion. Thanks you so much!

We stayed one night purely to break a long drive. Logpile Lodge is quite difficult to find. It is very remote and in its own very secluded grounds. It is a beautiful wooden building that is very spacious with views to the snow covered mountains or open countryside and the woods. The facilities are very good - the bedroom is well sized, the bed comfortable and there is a veranda with views directly into the woods. The bathroom is a reasonable size and functional. The host is very pleasant and the breakfast was spectacular. On the night we visited there was only one other couple staying and the large house felt a little eerie.

We stayed one night and were absolutely thrilled at the welcome atmosphere and Barbara was just excellent!!! This lodge is a place you must take if traveling through Smithers. I assure you this family will not only treat you like family, go above and beyond, Chris and Barbara will fix you a grand full breakfast!!! I had the pleasure of attending a private event last weekend at LogPile Lodge. The rooms, common areas and dining room were all immaculately clean and well appointed. I made a reservation at that time for our Anniversary Dinner. Tonight we had a 4-course meal, multiple salads, fresh home-made breads, chicken, beef, potatoes, gnochi and dessert! Hot, fresh and so tasty no added salt or pepper were needed! It was a relaxed atmosphere. The owners Kris and Barb are amazing chefs as well as hosts. We've definitely found our new favourite place for a special dinner. Thanks Barb, Kris and Annette for a special evening!! Dennis and Julia

Our party of four spent two nights at the Logpile Lodge and had a wonderful experience. I love the decor and overall log cabin construction. Our room was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The view from the porch was amazing. The hosts, Barbara and Chris were wonderful! I found them very attentive and personable. We were the only ones at the lodge for one of our nights and enjoyed their company and talking for hours. We enjoyed touring around Smithers, taking walks around the property, and a quick hike up to the lookout tower. The food was incredible and breakfast could easily sustain you until dinner. We were lucky to be there when they were cooking dinner and enjoyed fantastic meals. I will definitely make a point of going there again.

Barbara and Chris are gracious and friendly hosts who make you feel right at home. The lodge is a beautiful masterpiece of design (both exterior and interior) with mountain views. Our room with a private balcony was spacious and very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights and were able to enjoy their delicious Friday and Saturday dinners (shoulder season only) as well as daily breakfasts which were an outstanding treat!

Logpile Lodge is simply wonderful! We felt welcome and at home as soon as we arrived, greeted by Barbara and a glass of wine. The setting overlooking Smithers is tranquil and beautiful. Our rooms were cosy and comfortable and looked out through the aspen trees to the countryside beyond. We sat out in the garden drinking wine and admiring the view until bedtime. Barbara even supplied homeopathic remedies for my injured hand. Next morning, the home - cooked breakfast was undoubtedly the best we encountered during our 3 week Canadian trip! Plenty of choice and totally delicious. We would love to return one day!

We only stayed for one night, but it was great. Very nice welcome including a glass of wine. We walked around the property and the short trail at the end of the drive. Breakfast was delicious, coffee was hot and strong. The hosts were pleasant. We would stay again and recommend to friends.

This is an absolute wow. We were on a 16 day trip around B.C. when we came upon this gem. We had not booked this until the weather changed our plans. In our many nights of hotel/Inn stays, this was hands down the most amazing accommodation we stayed in. In fact in all of our years of travel, we could only think of one place in Scotland that trumped it. The owners, who actually built this home, take great pride in every aspect of running this place and of hosting guests - and that is what they do. They Host. From the option of a "greeting drink" (beverage of your choice), to the wonderful breakfast they served, it was a perfect stay. It is a place where you can check in and have as much privacy as you want, or have a chat and get to know the area through them. The room was so comfortable, private, quiet, clean, with two decks off of it and a beautiful bathroom. We commented that we could not think of anything about it that could have made it even a bit better. The view from the dining room is of Hudson Bay Mountain, and in the morning sun it was just beautiful. All seasons would be wonderful here. If you are ever in the lovely town of Smithers B.C, do not hesitate to book a room in this Lodge. The only thing you will regret is having to check out after only one night.

A lovely timber structure which stands overlooking the town of Smithers. The building is a testimony to the vision of the owners Chris and Barbara who also run the B&B like the professionals hosts that they are. Our beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and the breakfasts were hearty. I loved the Rosti prepared by Chris for my breakfast. We reluctantly left after two awesome nights.
