With a beautiful view over the Bulkley Valley and the mountains the Logpile Lodge sits on a little hill, only 10 min. away from the lively town of Smithers and 10 min. away from the beautiful Babine Mountain Provincial. An insider tip for outdoor enthusiasts and those who love peace and quiet - and a glas of wine on the balcony. There is a common room with fireplace and an extensive library and games. No phones or TVs in the rooms.A full cooked breakfast prepared to your liking gets you started in the morning, whether it's for work or play.
Thanks to Barbara and Christoph we enjoyed an amazing time watching salmons, biking and hiking the surrounding hills, cannoning the rivers, discovering the glacier lakes by a seaplane and relaxed evenings in the marvelous gardens. The atmosphere was always very warm and friendly. The Logpile architecture was very impressive; the food very rich and tasty. What we loved especially was the famous Birchermüsli for breakfast. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and furnished with passion. Thanks you so much!
We stayed one night purely to break a long drive. Logpile Lodge is quite difficult to find. It is very remote and in its own very secluded grounds. It is a beautiful wooden building that is very spacious with views to the snow covered mountains or open countryside and the woods. The facilities are very good - the bedroom is well sized, the bed comfortable and there is a veranda with views directly into the woods. The bathroom is a reasonable size and functional. The host is very pleasant and the breakfast was spectacular. On the night we visited there was only one other couple staying and the large house felt a little eerie.
We stayed one night and were absolutely thrilled at the welcome atmosphere and Barbara was just excellent!!! This lodge is a place you must take if traveling through Smithers. I assure you this family will not only treat you like family, go above and beyond, Chris and Barbara will fix you a grand full breakfast!!! We hated to leave and wanted to stay another night but travels require making some miles. The lodge is all wood and they have truly done an expert job. This is one of those diamonds we just lucked upon !!! I cannot thank you two enough❤️no the excellent experien
I had the pleasure of attending a private event last weekend at LogPile Lodge. The rooms, common areas and dining room were all immaculately clean and well appointed. I made a reservation at that time for our Anniversary Dinner. Tonight we had a 4-course meal, multiple salads, fresh home-made breads, chicken, beef, potatoes, gnochi and dessert! Hot, fresh and so tasty no added salt or pepper were needed! It was a relaxed atmosphere. The owners Kris and Barb are amazing chefs as well as hosts. We've definitely found our new favourite place for a special dinner. Thanks Barb, Kris and Annette for a special evening!! Dennis and Julia
Our party of four spent two nights at the Logpile Lodge and had a wonderful experience. I love the decor and overall log cabin construction. Our room was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The view from the porch was amazing. The hosts, Barbara and Chris were wonderful! I found them very attentive and personable. We were the only ones at the lodge for one of our nights and enjoyed their company and talking for hours. We enjoyed touring around Smithers, taking walks around the property, and a quick hike up to the lookout tower. The food was incredible and breakfast could easily sustain you until dinner. We were lucky to be there when they were cooking dinner and enjoyed fantastic meals. I will definitely make a point of going there again.
