Detailed Reviews
The staff are very cautious with Covid-19 which made us feel safe. The kitchen was well supplied. The location was great as it was quiet and yet we were able to walk to restaurants and to shops. The wifi worked well and the room was clean.

I was hosting a bus trip for a group of 18 seniors. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and large and the hotel is conveniently located close to the downtown shops and restaurants. We all enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
This is the only hotel I have ever stayed at that uses a pink vacuum cleaner with a smiley face on it.
There is a large parking lot which easily accommodated our tour bus.
The staff are friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed meeting Delly. She greeted us at the desk and answered endless questions about Smithers and the surrounding area. Her patience and good humour throughout our stay were appreciated by us all.
We will definitely stay here again.

The rooms were a nice size and clean, we had a room with 2 beds. They are not serving breakfast at this time due to COVID and the staff wore masks in at the desk and hallways. The gentleman in the early morning was very helpful providing us with directions. The parking spots were quite large for our pick up truck to easily come and go which was nice for our early departure.

We have often stayed here while traveling through northern BC. The reason we always came back was it was a reliably clean accommodation to rest after a long drive. However this recent 2 visits on shows it has lost its modest luster.
Missing remote for a/c & heating, missing nightstand, elevator maintenance odor permeated the halls making the rooms almost unbearable. Seems to be clean on the surface but not so much close up. To the point we wiped everything down after we got to our room.
The breakfast has traditionally been perfect for an early start around town or for hitting the road & am glad that has been kept up.
Unfortunately the hotel is feeling & looking tired and perhaps being used by many trades people it is wearing on the place. It would be nice if they revamped it similar to their Terrace location. Or at lease please maintain it better. This was our “go to” place in Smithers but we may have to rethink that.

We appreciated the fact that the staff were still COVID conscious...wearing masks and requiring masks in common areas.
The beds were comfortable. Rooms were large, it had a couple chairs. And it was quiet. The showers were great....excellent water pressure.
The room could have been cleaner....as the carpet seemed a bit dusty. We realize there is a difficulty for many businesses finding staff in Smithers.

This hotel did not deliver for the cost of the rooms. Staff was very uninterested and was not friendly, just efficient in doing business.
The laundry is beside the registration desks with the door open. Breakfast was very minimum and only sweet foods. There was a lot of plastic and foam plates, cups and utensils.
Not certain what the options are in smithers for other hotels.
But i would not recommend this hotel.

Very nice stay, clean, comfortable, quiet. Good location. Lots of RCMP were staying on the premises so their vehicles were present in the parking lot which was reassuring . Walking distance to lots of shopping, restaurants.

We stayed at Sunshine Inn while travelling through Smithers. We were WAY later than traditional check in and they were very accommodating. A staff member greeted us at 2:30am and got us set up.
Room was clean and quiet despite being close to the highway. Beds very comfortable and shower head tall with lots of water. Would absolutely stay here again!

This was a clean, well run hotel. The room we had was spacious, conveniently equipped with small fridge and microwave, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is close to Main Street and many of the local restaurants. The continental breakfast in the morning was okay, with standard fare. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

After not being able to stay at my usual hotel in Smithers (Storknest) I booked this one based on the reviews. Overall, it's a pretty nice hotel but there are a number of things that bugged me. There are a number of stains on the carpet in my room, not a good first impression. I had to have the duvet cover changed as there were stains on it and it obviously hadn't been changed since the previous guest. The bathtub doesn't drain very well so by the time I'm done my shower I'm standing in ankle deep water.
The complimentary continental breakfast is adequate, but I've had much better. The fitness room (2 home treadmills and a wind bike) was obviously an afterthought, as it's just one of the guest rooms with the beds removed, and a single person sauna stuffed in the corner. The 32" LCD TV's are nice, but they're just plugged in via coax and the image isn't very good.
It is a bright, new hotel. The mattress is great, the furniture utilitarian. For Smithers, I guess not too bad.
