Arrived and we were able to check in early.

We were put in a king room with pull out bed. They weren't able to correct this to 2 queens.

The pull out bed was un sleep able. There was 2 thick bars that hurt my back. I don't recommend using it.

Bathroom had someone's hair in it.

The room darkening curtains were pretty pointless, as they were short and all the light came through the bottom.

The mini fridge worked good
Free and easy to access parking

Decent enough hotel. Check prices on line as prices at the hotel are as 25% more. Clean and has a fridge and coffee machine. Nothing fancy, the coffee is good but the breakfast is really plain and nothing to write home about... except I guess I just did.

Decent, basic place to stay. Usual older hotel room, but really centrally located and fit my needs for a short solo stay. Service was okay, rooms were dated but satisfactory, and nothing to really bring a smile to your face about the place but good price and I accepted it for what it is. If coming to Smithers again I would look around at other options probably but would be okay if there wasn’t much else available.

This hotel was sadly a bust for us. The service was fine and we had a lovely young woman who checked us in but that is where any positives end. The “non smoking” room reeked of cigarette smoke, everything had a layer of grime and dirt and we couldn’t find a single outlet that worked to charge our phones. They did offer to move us to a different room but it was clear from the general state of the hotel common areas that we would see more of the same. We chose to leave (and eat the cost) and go elsewhere.

After resading all the terribly reviews, I was very skeptical about booking this place but I just had to because it was available. I was planning to "make do" with it but my experience was beyond awesome.
The front desk staff were awesome and very helpful, the housekeeping person was very nice. The room was clean, tidy, with a gorgeous view.
The A/C was noisy when it comes on intermittently but I slept through it.
I will stay here again on my next visit.

My husband and I were moving to Ketchikan and needed a place to stay on the way. We have two medium sized dogs and the Capri Motor Inn was affordable and pet friendly. We weren’t expecting much but we were pleasently surprised when we arrived. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the place was very clean. Our room was just perfect, it was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The blinds were dark and kept the light out so we could sleep in. We were close to town and had many of things to do including restaurants, bars and even found a hiking trail for the pups. We will most definitely come back and stay again in the near future!

Enough said. Woke up covered in itchy welts. Eradication measures ruined my trip. Can't remember for sure, but I think I was in room 135.
Staff was very nice, but nothing makes up for bedbugs.
It does have smoking rooms, and even the nonsmoking rooms the towels and sheets have faint cigarette smell, which is to be expected if one remembers back in the day when all hotels had some smoking rooms. The halls smelled like tobacco and pot.

Response from CapriInnManager, Manager at Capri Motor Inn
Responded Nov 10, 2015
I am sorry to hear about the experience that you had with us. We take this type of issue very seriously and for something like this I am sure every business would have appreciated a stop at the desk to be made aware of the issue as it has happened. I have professional pest control in place and the rooms are inspected by professionals monthly, I have had this said room inspected and it has been cleared and no bed bug activity was found in that room or the entire floor where this room is located.

We found this hotel very old and out dated. Reasonable priced. The rooms were clean and had good wifi and tv. Entering into the room was a long walk, not many entry doors. The room was noisy and the air conditioner very loud, could not use. Also could not open the window. Would not stay again.

Hotel is "ok" . Just needed a place to stay. Was "adequate" - nothing special,
However, from 2 am to 4:30 am other patrons returning from the bar turned the hotel into an episode of "Animal House" screaming, laughing, carrying on in the halls. Doors slamming.

Obviously the night manager didn't care to stop the obnoxious behaviour. Calls to front desk were not answered. I did not want to confront noisy drunks.

Horrible experience .
