Our group of 3 stayed in two rooms August, 2016. John and Sandi, our genial hosts, welcomed us on arrival as we toured through the Smithers area. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds offered an excellent night’s sleep. A breakfast menu was provided the night before. We had a lovely breakfast (mmmmmuffins, warm from the oven!) while...

I really enjoyed my stay at Chickadee Acres. My room was comfortable, clean and very quiet. I slept great! It's so close to Smithers (about ten minutes away) yet feels worlds away, with stunning views of Hudson Bay Mountain and the surrounding woods. John and Sandi were kind, friendly hosts. If you are outgoing or prefer more solitude, you will...

My girlfriend selected Chickadee Acres since Jan Piet, the owner of this B&B is an excellent bird photographer and has feeding places one his balcony and throughout his property. Since I am a fanatic amateur photographer too we had lots of conversations about wildlife, birds, nature and travel. Both Jan and his wife are friendly, breakfast was excellent (included 'beschuitjes',...

A stunning piece of paradise with bird watching at breakfast. My boyfriend and I felt truly welcome and had such a nice time with John and Sandi . Clean and quiet, but still close to town. The room was spacious yet homey , and the photography displayed around the home made it truly unique. Would definitely stay here again !

The B&B lies some 8 km outside of Smithers, at a very quiet location, along a rough road in good condition. John and Patti are very friendly hosts, doing all they can to make your stay as perfect as possible. They transmit you their passion for birds and bird watching, but have also a great amount of suggestions and information...

Our stay at Chickadee Acres was the first stage of a trek north to the Inside Passage. The scenery is beautiful at this B&B and we had lovely weather during our two night stay: warm and sunny. Our room was very clean and smartly decorated. The hosts showed us around their wooded property and pointed out a number of different...

Excellent hospitality, comfortable room, fascinating rural setting with breakfast served while watching the local array of birds using the feeders (shared with a red squirrel when we were there). Bears have been known to go for the bird feeders too! Found some excellent local walking tails too. Short drive to Smithers downtown and main highway.

On our way from Saskatoon to Prince Rupert we stayed one night at Chickadee Acres. We liked it so much that we decided to change our plans for the way back and stay there another night. This B&B is a real treat for bird lovers. From the kitchen table where you have your breakfast you see the bird feeders on...

My husband and I stayed for 1 night in this B&B on our way from Prince George to Prince Rupert. It is off the main road, but we managed to find it easy enough. John will install a big billboard at the beginning of the road very soon, so that should make things even more easy. John and Sandi are...

Overnighted in Smithers and were welcomed by John and Sandi. Gracious hosts with a clean and practical B&B. Good value. Nice to be away from the main street but a mere 10 minutes away. Nice walks on the property with lots of birds visiting the feeder. Recommended!
