The hotel has had rugged use and looks a bit tired. The dog friendly room we were in was compact but very practical, and had everything we needed. Quite a bit of noise transference from the hallways during the day but quiet times are respected so the nights were fine.Indoor and outdoor hot tubs are small but well-maintained. The fitness room was a pleasant surprise with 4 cardio machines, free weights up to 50 pounds, benches and 4 universals. Very pleasant staff, prompt service, and good central location. Wide variety of types and costs of rooms. Dog charge is high relative to other hotels.

Perfect location easily accessible via the Gentle Giant ski run. 30 second ski to the Sundance and Sunburst lifts. The building and rooms are looking a little old, but perfectly functional and spacious. Our family of 4 had a one bedroom, with the kids staying in the Murphy bed in main living room. Still plenty of space with a large dining table, small kitchen and two good sized sofas. Ski storage and two hot tubs available. A place for all ages, some university students as well as ski lovers into their 80s.
Reasonably priced for great location near all the restaurants/village and spacious rooms.

The hotel looks kind of old and tired and needs some modernization. The room we stayed in (studio, full kitchen) was smalish, with minimal closet space. Kitchen appliances, while working fine, were clearly old. The microwave was hidden under the counter, so one had to crawl to read the dials or put something in. Compact dishwasher was working fine. There was lots of dishes but no choping board and only two sharp knives (one of them hudge). The room had a Murphy's bed. The idea of Murhy's bed is good as an additional bed for some extra guests. However this was the only bed in the room. The mattress on a bed was quite comfortable but there was a gap between the headboard and the matress (around 12 cm) where the pillows were sinking. (BTW – only two pillows in the room). The major problem with the bed was that the black metal legs were protruding beyond it for about 15 cm and on many occations we hit our legs against them.
The room had a table, four chairs, two armchairs and two bar stools. To many for such a small room. Not much space left for anything else. Bathroom with a small tub had some mould in corners. One evening the water was just warm, not hot. There was a gas fireplace in the room.
Housekeeping was a hit and mis. Some days the room was not made at all. Sometimes they were trying to do the room as late as 7 PM. On two occasions we had to look for houskeeping staff to get rid of garbage or to ask for a towel. We have learnt that the favorite hidding place for housekeeping staff is an electrical room. Also, it was hard to communicate with them due to limited English.
There are three ski lockers and only one of them is logically located on the main floor. Unfortunately, all ski racks there were always locked. Two other, larger ski lockers are located on a parking level, so, to get there one must walk on concrete in ski boots through parkade and back upstairs outside.
One of the two elevators was out of order but was fixed after three days.
Overall it was an okay stay. Would stay there again only if nothing better available.

This is a good hotel for the price right in the village. Yes the rooms are dated but you are paying way less than other hotels or AirBNB. I love people who complain about getting a murphy bed when it shows the room on the website??? Ski hill accommodation's are very expensive that's just the way it is but this hotel is reasonable the rooms are clean they have hot tubs that were nice and you are literally right in the village and right at the lifts. Who can ask for anything more.

My family stayed a week in January and have mixed feelings about Cahilty. The location is excellent as it is truly ski-in and out. The attached Pub is really good -they have professional staff, high quality meals at a reasonable price and daily beer specials. The Hotel reception staff are friendly and the cleaners are very good. However, it is a tired old hotel with thin floors and walls. They have ski lockers on 2 levels, but it seems most are kept locked by owners and it was difficult finding spare slots for our skis. Sadly, Bear Country Management are trying to dominate in Sun Peaks with the inevitable impact. They seem to be jamming prices aggressively higher and hence we will be looking for better value properties elsewhere when we return to Sun Peaks.

If you want to stay where kids are constantly running through the halls yelling and their parents doing nothing then this is your place to stay. Nobody expects kids to be silent and I dont blame them; I blame their parents who seem to all have a skin full of booze and simply dont care what their kids get up to as long as they let them go on with their drinking. I have stayed in more hotels and apartments than I care to remember and this is the only time I have ever experienced this level of total disarray. Aside from that, the hotel is nice, room is fine, and location is good; but not worth putting up with the culture of parents staying here.

Returned to Nancy greene’s Cahility hotel for 2 weeks ski holiday again after visiting in 2019.
Our self contained unit offered everything that was required for our stay.
Serviced daily and linen changed half way through our stay.
Nothing was too much trouble when we made any enquiry regarding local places to visit and any request was happily obliged.
Cannot speak highly of staff both front office and housekeeping personnel.
Parking at basement level very reasonably priced and secure.
Looking forward to returning next ski season

The two young ladies at the front desk were very disappointing. They were bored with their job. Antagonistic and rude.
A very poor introduction to this hotel. Communication was not what you expect when you wish to rent a room. We went to another hotel.

I have come to stay for meetings and conferences at Sun Peaks several times and I rate this as one of the best. My wife has been recovering from an illness and we were treated by well by your staff. We would like to especially like to acknowledge and express Stacey. She was so kind, warm, friendly and helpful to my wife, my niece and me. I will defiantly recommend your hotel to anyone who comes to Sun Peaks!

The Cahilty have a shuttle service to and from the airport. I'd ask the hotel if they had a carseat to use in the bus.

My understanding is provided they are not fully booked then a late check out is possible. One of the great things about this place is they always try to accomodate guests requests.
