One night stay in January 2019. Rooms were spacious and nice, heated floor in our washroom, comfy king bed, big jetted tub, and small balcony were some highlights of the room. They offer three outdoor hot tubs and another on the little point with a picnic area and BBQ. Great

Nothing wrong with the facilities but this location is very hard to get to and inconvenient. Must drive 1/2 hour to get to any decent restaurants or market. Must drive 1/2 to hours to get to any point of interest.

I've stayed in many of the resorts in and around Parksville and Pacific Shores is by far the favorite of my family. The condos are large and spacious, the restaurant Smoke n' Water onsite and pools are wonderful including a full service spa. On top of that the location is

We were given a gift of 2 weeks at Pacific Shores, and what a gift that was. The location is perfect. Quiet, wonderful views etc. The facilities are dated and in need of an update, yet very comforatable. The sad thing is the resort is apparently shutting down Jan 1. We were

Thank you for your 5 star review of our property. We are happy to read that you found the property quiet with wonderful views. Only the timeshare portion of the resort is temporarily closing at the end of the year. The hotel, resort centre, spa and restaurant remain open and we anticipate the resort being run as a hotel in the future so please contact us directly if you wish to stay in the new year. Sincerely, Nikii Morrison

Good Day, The Ferry leaves from Nanaimo at either the Duke Point Terminal or Departure Bay Terminal. it is best to view the times on their website as there may be sailing waits. If you would like a copy of the schedule please contact the resort or front desk directly and we can print you a copy of the schedule.

Our experience with RCI and Pacific Shores was pretty much a big disappointment (peruse my review of November, 2016, BEWARE OF YOUR SHARE). The Smoke & Water Restaurant was well worth a look, but certainly the only bright spot in our time there (we did not stay for the full visit). My wife and I would not repeat this mistake and in our opinion, it was a poorly planned exchange by the RCI programme.

If you have booked a studio and a 1 bedroom unit that would be considered a 2 bedroom unit by Pacific Shores. The units will be connected by a common door. The 1 bedroom unit would be complete and would have a kitchen in it and the studio would have a bedroom and bathroom with possibly a small fridge and microwave.

How did you make the reservation? Online booking site or Pacific Shores own site? Either way I would suggest calling P.S. directly quote your reservation number and ask about your preference. Us island folks are pretty accommodating...😎

Pacific Shores is on Vancouver Island less than an hour driving from either of the ferries arriving from the Vancouver area to the Nanaimo area. You can get to Vancouver Island by car from Port Angeles, or from Anancortes and there is also the ferry to Swartz Bay (Victoria area). If you have been to Victoria you probably are familiar with at least one of these routes. We have stayed in two 1 bedroom units. One of these had a narrow ocean view. I believe that the 2 bedroom units have more ocean view. My advice is to phone them and ask about the view. Then go through booking and request an ocean view. Compare prices before you book on the phone.
