Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 3 nights and had one of the pet friendly rooms in addition to a standard room.
The renovated rooms are nicely updated, clean, quiet, and comfortable; the bed and pillows were fantastic! Great value for the quality of the room. Staff were friendly and attentive.
The renovation is ongoing with exterior landscaping and other work ongoing. As with any renovation of this size, we did identify to staff some small fine-tuning that was needed in one of our rooms.
This is a great hotel if you want to bring your pet. The hotel also has a “pet area” with some artificial turf. Screen door access from your room to the outside makes “pet outside time” easy.
We had dinner at 1964 and the food was amazingly delicious. Surprisingly good Italian food given the size of Falcon Lake and the surrounding area.
Falcon Lake isn’t Banff or Whistler, but from a value perspective, this hotel (and the surrounding area) offers everything you could want from an outdoors perspective. We hired an amazing fishing guide (Shield Outfitters), went on long scenic hikes, played rounds the Falcon Lake golf course, and enjoyed the beach.
Overall, the Inn is “Highly Recommended”. If you want an inexpensive get away, you must consider booking here.

Wow! Honestly one of the best overall customer service experiences we’ve ever had!
We arrived here late, wet and tired after finishing the Mantario trail. It was easy to book a room online using the hotel’s own website and they were accommodating over the phone for our friends who needed a pet friendly room.
On arrival check-in with Doug was excellent, he was friendly, professional and helpful. A real gem. He understood we were hungry, unfortunately the restaurant had just closed, but he grabbed Michael the chef who easily agreed and took our food orders to be delivered to the room (and the food was great!) The bar staff even provided off sale for a couple canned drinks.
Inside the room the AC was set, the fireplace was going and the heated bathroom floor was warmed up. Beds were comfy, smart TV hooked up to our phone easily, the patio door leading out back was nice for quick in/out and coffee station is ready for the morning.

Sorry, for that price, ill never go back.
Allot of little issues but my main one are, no front desk staff from 11p.m-7 a.m. I only know that cuz when i took a shower (onky given 1 towel when i booked 2 adults) rhe towel had black xots all over it. Tried to contact from desk (phone had no numbers on them to know who im dialing. After 6 tries, walked to the from and saw noone there) Bangeg on tavern door till a guy met me at the desk. That is unacceptable in a hotel.
Rooms are WAY too small.
Shower had very little pressure if you wanted warm or hot water. Cold...loys pf pressure, enough to flood the bathroom (walk in shower) tho.
Skylights in pool had blue tape holding glass together.
This is a glorified highway motel at best

We had a great sleep. Their bed and pillows were fantastic! Great choices. However the hotel staff specifically the front desk (when we had our check out today) she is rude and needs to send for training on how to respond to customer properly and professionally. The wonderful experience we had at the hotel ruined our mood when we checked out.
Anyways, we had dinner at 1964 and the food was amazingly delicious. Highly recommended. I would like to commend Carrie and Irsh for their quality service and assistance. Definitely we will come back at 1964 restaurant but hopefully not to meet again and experience the not so well trained receptionist.

Very friendly and efficient service .
We will be regulars once cottage season starts.
Bar areas have been nicely updated

What a great addition to Falcon Lake. We had dinner last night at the 1964 at the hotel. It was one of the best meals I have ever had over my 75 years. Bravo to Tavian the head chef. His dishes are truly amazing and your staff was so professional and accommodating.

My first review was deleted saying they had completed updated recently when my review was written 1 Day after stating there!
This hotel is way over priced. Bedding was dirty, they did bring new sheets immediately but I had to stop and make bed myself as the person who delivered them said she doesn’t make beds! Our blind was broken half way down door so had to duck to get in out of our sliding door, screen was resting against wall. Furniture was collective. Still had old style tv unit but newer TV was on wall. It’s very tired looking soo off they are doing upgrades that’s great but our room wasn’t one of them. Would never go back. Staff on other hand were lovely.

Spent the day in the area and decided to try the hotel for dinner. Our server Kaylee was wonderful. The place looks great since it’s been renovated and we will definitely be back next summer to spend a weekend.

Beautiful completely renovated modern .
(I had been there about 8 years ago ,it was run down)
It is now a 5 star rating for me
I like the walk in tiled showers and fireplace!
The entire hotel was obviously renovated because it looks nothing like I remembered!!
Will definitely go back and we enjoyed the snack shak right in the beach...so cool!

Well above average. The service particularly was super. I am handicapped, so couldn't get up the stairs to the 1964 restaurant with its views of the lake - my wife did, and showed me a photo. As mentioned, it isn't ready for a handicapped person, but the staff went out of their way - way out of their way, in fact. The bed was extra-comfortable (better than our own). The food was pricey, but good. The downstairs restaurant was ok for me, but rather noisy. However, although it was a weekend, and a noisier crowd expected, we didn't hear a peep in our room. A/C worked well. I understand that the bulding was a bit of a dive before; today it is excellent - maybe not a 5-star place, but who would expect it to be. What it is, is very good, and the $7 milllion spent on it was well spent.
