The silver metal roof line was barely visible at first and then as we crested the hill it became more obvious. The cedar shake siding blended in quite nicely with the surrounding geography. We had arrived at the latest addition to the Falcon Trails Resort High Lake Eco cabins. The Sandpiper cabin was completed in early summer and we were...

Hey Gilderman2! Wow, what an incredible review of the High Lake experience, you've nailed it to a T! We are so excited about the two new cabins out at High Lake (Kingfisher and Sandpiper) and have been getting many rave reviews of them, much like your own. High Lake is like no other. We look forward to your next visit!...

My friend & I celebrated our 50th birthdays by leaving husband & kids at home to come here for peace & nature. We stayed at the new Kingfisher cabin where the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. This spacious cabin has plenty of room for 4, including a screened in, attached gazebo, bbq & canoe....

Rented the Eagle cabin; screened deck with hot tub, one bedroom downstairs with two more open ones upstairs in the loft. Private grassy shore area with fire pit and picnic table. Very quiet in SE corner of Falcon Lake, lucky to see a few boats a day on that end. Three free canoes available to use. Need to thin out...

Hello DCYYC, Thank you for the nice review! It sure is nice being at the quieter end of Falcon Lake with the main boat traffic staying outside of our little bay. That's a great tip on clearing the trees in front of the Eagle cabin, we had done some pruning there earlier this summer but will go and take another...

We rented The Owl Wing and Welcome Centre for our family gathering. The space was perfect with the large dining room, living room, closed in porch and verandah. There were about 40 of us and we all fit well. Everyone commented on how great the space and atmosphere was, plus something for everyone - hot tub, swimming and slide from...

Would come back here every year if I could. Cabins are spotless. Beautiful scenery. Nicest cabin I've ever been in. Free canoes, fishing is great at the creek, hot tubs are well maintained, had a jacuzzi too. Had a fire place that works. It's modern. Huge porch with a big bbq, massive dining room with a beautiful table, high ceilings...

Spent a few days with some girlfriends at Falcon Trails Resort. We were hit with by a torrential rain and ended up stranded without being able to drive out to get home. Hey 570aldaf, Yes this past weekend certainly was a memorable one! I'm so glad to hear that you felt well taken care of during the exciting flood events of the weekend. Our resort cabins and grounds got off a lot easier than some of our neighbours in the area and apart from some extra dock repairs and communicating with guests...

The road to get to the resort was rough. I realize this is out of the resorts control, just a forewarning. The cabin itself is beautiful. It's was spotless and well cared for when we arrived. Hello Katrina, Thank you for the great review! You have made some really great suggestions on how we can make your stay even more enjoyable, that kind of feedback is very valuable to us. We stayed in the Merlin cabin from March 21st - 25th of 2016. We were 100% satisfied with our experience, right from the word go. “The Merlin is great, it's the furthest cabin West, nestled into the trees.”

“Some things not to forget as they don't supply: tin foil, spices, sugar, hot-dog roasting sticks, saran wrap/baggies.”

“This resort tries to be as "green" as possible: no changing towels daily, no maid service, Service is minimal, but always helpful & friendly. Bring all the food for your stay - there are restaurants nearby (that is, closer than Winnipeg or Kenora) but you don't come here for fine dining you don't cook yourself. Besides, many restaurants and stores are not open all year. Hiking, mountain biking, skiing, see lots of wildlife, relaxing in a hot tub - and it seems you're far away from the typical cottage country you see at the other end of Falcon Lake.”
