This hotel was fantastic. The staff were helpful and the facilities were clean. The rooms had everything we needed. The Kurig in the room was an added bonus. The lobby contains a separate lounge and restaurant and the doorway to the hotel suites. We forgot our child’s life jacket and were happy to see they had extras of all sizes near the pool to borrow. One suggestion would be that the glass doors off the lobby that give access to the pool area and suites have a key card lock on them. This would be to prevent non guests from the lounge and restaurant from entering the hotel. This would also provide an additional safety measure when travelling with young children as a peace of mind. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. The board games area was a nice touch. Thanks for the slushie at the front desk!

we stayed here in August 2022 with our two young kids. The room was clean. When we asked for extra bedding it was promptly brought to our room. The pool area had extra life jackets available to use & lots of pool toys to play with. The temperature of the pool was also perfect. All around it was a good stay.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!

To find such wonderful customer service was truly a shock and breath of fresh air. The staff went beyond and back to make our stay a great one. Special thanks to Paul and Taylor!

We originally were booked for a two day stay but it turned into three.

The rooms, indoor pool and hot tub areas are very clean!

The inn has a family restaurant and also a pub where you can get a great breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Great location. The inn is close to other restaurants, bowling, and miniature golf.

Lots of things to do in and around the area also. We went golfing in Roland only minutes away and even saw a Hallmark movie being filmed in the nearby town of Morden, again only minutes away.

Well, if you don’t mind having a restaurant supplied fly swatter at your table while having dinner, this is a nice hotel. The flies were so bad in the restaurant, we actually were swatting flies during our meal. They gave us a 25% discount on dinner for having to endure the grossness of fly swatting while eating, but I would never come back here.

From booking to the treatment at the front desk our experience was terrible. Initially they messed up our booking. Next none of the times on the signage actually match hours open. The lounge states it's open till midnight when it actually closes at 10pm. The pool states it closes at 11 when it actually closes at 10pm.

Now the best part there is no security to enter the pool area so on our visit we saw 7 people go from their cars directly to the pool area this at approximately 8pm and they took up the pool area until 10pm so even if we wanted to use the pool area we could not . Then the lady at the front desk was rude and stated it's always been that way. So after this we see a gentleman coming into the hotel with a duffle bag and open liquor and heads for the pool area. We found out this was her husband and they are allowed in the pool whenever they want with open liquor and basically do whatever they want. We waited in the lobby to see what would transpire and she stated to us you are making me uncomfortable with your loitering and I will make a one time exception for you. I could not believe my ears .Very disappointed and severely doubt we will ever be back

We got the seaside room and our toddler loved it. The room is stunning with the painted wall art and beautiful seaside decorations. King size bed and bunk beds so everyone was happy!

It was a poolside room so it was easy to get in and out while swimming. It was a little noisy but stopped right at 10 when the pool closed.

Hotel staff were so friendly and we got a pizza party deal emailed to us ahead of time! Definitely check out the deals, they have some good ones!

My wife and I were forced out of our home due to a fire. Felicia and her staff were nothing short of amazing! We stayed for about a week and a half, and it never changed.Always friendly, accomodating, helpful and
clearly were there for their guests. We highly recommend people give this hotel serious consideration when looking for a place to stay in Winkler!

Wrongfully evicted from the hotel at 1am by a desk attendant who refused to let me speak with a manager. When another guest got irate, she phoned the police and I was forced to pack up my room while being watched by the local police. It was my intent to stay here for a month so I had a significant amount of stuff to pack up and ended up forgetting a few items. Completely embarrassed to have been put through this ordeal in front of the police and many other guests and lounge patrons.

This is all added to a laundry list of issues I was willing to let go. There was a make-up stain on my pillow for 4 days straight, despite the fact that I had set it aside hoping the cleaning staff would notice. Yellow stains on a face cloth when I arrived. There was a burnt out light bulb that I requested to be replaced and hadn't happened for 3 days. And finally, the attendant who checked me in was unable to provide me with any information regarding a loyalty/rewards program.

I would not recommend staying here to anyone that expects anything more than sub par customer service. And will be sure to inform everyone in my company who travels as well, that they should stay at the much more accommodating hotel just across the street.

We acknowledge the events of the evening, and apologize that they played out the way they did. Decisions had to be made in the best interest of all of our guests. WIth this in mind we were forced you have you removed. We do appreciate you bringing to our attention the items in your room that were not to your satisfaction and will use that information in training housekeeping staff.

More people attend our local high school than live in this town, but it has several nice hotels. I recently stayed at the Quality Inn in Winkler, traveling on business. The hotel was very clean, and the food in the restaurant exceeded my expectation for a $3.99 breakfast. The hotel did have some construction workers who probably were weekly stays, but they were civilized and quiet. The town of Winkler seems to be growing so fast, that there was a lot of construction there. Overall, the hotel property was well maintained. The hotel staff were very pleasant. The pool was in a giant room that had castle decor, and kids would love it. There were signs advertising dinosaur fossils, and there is a waterpark nearby. There is shopping nearby and some restaurants, and a small movie theater. I would stay there again.

The Heartland Inn is located on main street minutes from all shopping and amenities. The pool area was clean and the water was warm, kids had lots of fun. The rooms were very clean and neat, with more room than we expected. The Country Kitchen restaurant took a while but the food was hot and the prices were reasonable. The lounge is trendy and the staff was great. The decor was like something you would see in downtown Toronto, so this was a pleasant surprise for a smaller community such as Winkler. My only recommendation would be to seriously consider bringing your own pillow or purchasing one at the Walmart across the street. The pillows were very heavy and hard. Not comfortable at all. Other than that, we will definitely stay there again during our next trip to Winkler.
