Charming family-run inn located in the small fishing village of Alma. Located directly across the street from the active Alma fishing harbour, rooms with Bay views overlooking the harbour are available. We offer free wifi throughout the property and free guest parking is available at the back of our building. This property previously run as a B&B, has recently been updated with newly renovated ensuite bathrooms, furnishings, and much more to make your stay with us that much more comfortable. Being such a small accommodations (with only 8 rooms) we strive to bring our guests that "home away from home" feeling while they're staying with us. Our inn also offers a guest television room, great for guests traveling that are more social or are traveling with family members staying in other rooms. While we do not have 24-hour front desk service, there is always someone on our property looking forward to answering any questions our guests may have, as well as give great travelling tips and suggestions. A contact phone number is given to all guests to reach a staff member when no one is at the front desk. All restaurants and shops located in Alma are within a short walking distance of the Captain's inn, along with the Alma beach and Fundy National Park. We have many great restaurants in our small area that will be eager to serve you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also have a bakeshop, 2 seafood markets, a micro-brewery, a café, and a general store located in the village. The staff at Captain's Inn looks forward to greeting you during your upcoming visit.

This is a unique B and B in that the guest prepares his/her own breakfast from a good selection of cold foods in what can be a rather crowded kitchen if one happens to dine when others choose to do so . It was fine for us but be aware it is not your usual B and B . Captains Inn is nicely located in downtown Alma right outside Fundy National Park — a wonderful park with great hiking trails and lovely views . Our room was of average size for a B and B and was clean . The bed was comfortable . The hostess was friendly and efficient . Overall , we would recommend this Inn with the caveat noted above .

I have never previously felt compelled to write a review whilst staying in any accomodation. I totally agree with the previous review. Either the guests in the room above are showering and flushing the toilet constantly or there is a communal bathroom with guests consistently paying a visit or maybe the main water tank is above our room. I really do hope that that this does not continue throughout the night. We are also next to the self service kitchen, sincerely hoping we do not have any early risers staying at Captains Inn tonight.

Still have yet to sleep for more than an hour as all night the pipes from other people showering, people in the kitchen. When leaving no one was at the desk so a couple attempting to check in couldn’t. I assisted the couple calling for the owners and there was no answer. Came in late and was yelled at by the worker. Very unpleasant and over priced.

This B&B is a sweet little inn across from the water and I was charmed by it from the moment I walked in. The place is very homely and decorated nicely, the kitchen has a full stock of breakfast foods and all day coffee. The rooms were very clean and so comfortable. I slept the best in this place than any of the others on my trip through the maritimes. The owner, Terri, is fantastic and incredibly accommodating. I definitely recommend it!

This restaurant has been around for several years and is very popular. Dress can go either way, casual or dressy. Thursday night is Prime Rib night, a large buffet that includes dessert. Otherwise mostly seafood with a few chicken and pasta dinners as well. The owner is there often making sure things are going smoothly and customers are happy.

My family recently had to deal with an unexpected death and were summoned to Alma. Graham and Terri graciously opened up the welcome wagon and more or less gave my family the run of the Inn. The hospitality provided was one of the best experiences that I have ever been fortunate enough to receive. The Inn was clean and inviting. The rooms and facility were very clean and welcoming. They have a T.V. Room off of the front desk area with very comfy chairs and large flatscreen for downtime to relax. But most of all the hospitality was second to none. Graham and Terri could not do enough for us and it was very much appreciated. Unfortunatly we were not there for a tourist experience, However if we were the location is perfect. Walking distance to all restaurants and pubs. Only

Friendly service, nice clean accommodations and a great location. Rooms are a little small but you have full use of the entire Inn so it wasn't a problem at all. Would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Exactly the type of place I wanted to stay during our visit.

Very clean, comfortable beds in room with a view over the water. Situated in the heart of Alma, good breakfast included at the restaurant next door and coffee/tea available at any time. Plenty of parking behind the Inn and a short walk to anywhere in Alma.

.....So, my fault that I didn't really realize that this is not a hotel at all, but a B & B. As part of a road trip, we were more accustomed to a larger bathroom and the room we were in was quite small. So, if you picture a bedroom in someone's house with a small bathroom then that is more of what is here (sink was in the bedroom area). Also, as a traveler we didn't realize that the whole town is under a BOIL WATER order and so only bottled water is to be used (which the Inn provides). Back home, I looked up this "boil water" situation to find that it has been in place off and on for several years. We probably would have looked for another location altogether. It IS convenient to the Fundy National Forest. The BEST thing about this stay was the seafood chowder at the
