As a destination, Alma stands out only for its proximity to Fundy NP. Considering its location, it's surprisingly drab and lack-luster. Captain's Inn fits right in. It's clean and close to the park. But it SHOUTS economy. Rooms last updated circa 1979. (Well, the molded plastic shower might be a bit newer, along with the flat screen TV. But it's...

The room here at the Captains Inn was fine, but we were on the first floor with no view. Lights on nearby buildings were blocked out well by the curtains, but that meant there was no airflow into the room so it was a bit too warm. It was quiet and comfortable otherwise. If you want to watch a movie...

This is a great find right within walking distance of the Fundy Park Area. We were met at the door by Terri the owner who was eager to help and point us in the right direction for a place to eat. Her rooms were large and with a great view over the harbour. The bed was very comfortable and the...

The owner Terri was terrific. She show us around the Inn, recommended two wonderful restaurant both within walking distance. The pictures that you see do not do justice for the Inn. All the rooms are beautiful and well kept. Breakfast is do it yourself with plenty of choices. Will be back.

A friend and I recently stayed at the Captain's Inn on my first night in Canada. It was a great experience - we were warmly welcomed by the owner Terri and were automatically upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost. Very comfortable beds, and I could not fault this place in any way - a great location and...

I've stayed at the Captains Inn several times many years ago. This visit was totally different as it had a new owner of 14 months. Terri had the place totally renovated. Gone was the quaint clutter and country look to be replaced with modern leather furniture and a living room with theater chairs and a 80 inch TV. The place...

Went mid October. This was the only accommodation open so we took it. Found out there would be no breakfast but were still charged as if there were. Was told we could get breakfast next door (on our own dime). Turns our you couldn't. At least one could get coffee at the convenience store next door.

During a 20 day fly drive following the Eastern Seaboard of Canada, we arrived at Captains Inn. Positioned in the centre of the village of Alma, within travelling distance of the famous Hopewell Rocks,Cape Enrage and Fundy National Park. A warm welcome awaits by the current hosts, Terry and Graham, who graciously helped with our luggage to room 3 overlooking...

After a long day on the road it was nice to come to this centrally located Inn and not have to drive any further. Restaurants all nearby as are grocery and convenience store and liquor store. (All next door on either side in fact!) An easy walk around town and you'll get everything you need. The room was comfortable, a...

Friendly welcome from Terry. Small, very clean, comfortable double room with sea view. Arrived late afternoon, so no time to look round Alma before dinner. Breakfast freshly cooked for all guests. Would have happily stayed a second night, but we were passing through on way to Fredericton.
