#4 of 5 in Alma
Charming family-run inn located in the small fishing village of Alma. Located directly across the street from the active Alma fishing harbour, rooms with Bay views overlooking the harbour are available. We offer free wifi throughout the property and free guest parking is available at the back of our building. This property previously run as a B&B, has recently been updated with newly renovated ensuite bathrooms, furnishings, and much more to make your stay with us that much more comfortable. Being such a small accommodations (with only 8 rooms) we strive to bring our guests that "home away from home" feeling while they're staying with us. Our inn also offers a guest television room, great for guests traveling that are more social or are traveling with family members staying in other rooms. While we do not have 24-hour front desk service, there is always someone on our property looking forward to answering any questions our guests may have, as well as give great travelling tips and suggestions. A contact phone number is given to all guests to reach a staff member when no one is at the front desk. All restaurants and shops located in Alma are within a short walking distance of the Captain's inn, along with the Alma beach and Fundy National Park. We have many great restaurants in our small area that will be eager to serve you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We also have a bakeshop, 2 seafood markets, a micro-brewery, a café, and a general store located in the village. The staff at Captain's Inn looks forward to greeting you during your upcoming visit.

We stayed here the first weekend in April and the Captain's Inn was one of few places open. It's in a great location, the room was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The room was clean, fairly small and adequate. The breakfast was make your own with cold cereal, store wrapped muffins, some fresh fruit, juice, coffee, white toast and bagels. Not sure how it qualifies as a B&B. Terri was friendly and available. Drinking water ban was a detriment for sure. Mainly, we were disappointed with the breakfast offerings and only one comfortable chair in room.

On our 14 day road trip, probably this B@B was our least favorite. Room was OK and clean. The bed was super hard. we were both in pain in the morning. Breakfast was subpar to all other B@B's on our trip. It was a self serve buffet of prepackaged muffins, yoghurt and other stuff in the fridge we were free to take. (as long as we took only one, as there was just enough for all the guests) For the price of the B@B that was poor. Alma is a cute little tourist town by the sea. Great sea kayaking and walking. Lots of camping facilities just outside of town in the provincial park.

There is not too much competition for rooms in this area, even though the Hopewell Rocks aren't too far away. This place was adequate, but it really stretches the accepted definition of B&B in my book. Bed and Breakfast: yes, the room was comfortable, as were the beds. Even in August, leaving the windows open allowed for a cool breeze through the night. There are ceiling fans as well as a/c in the room, if needed. The second half - Breakfast? Well, yes, it was there: it was completely self-serving, cafeteria style. Almost all pre-packaged items (muffins, granola bars, small boxes of cereal, packaged fruit (as well as a couple fresh bananas). Yes, fresh coffee/tea. OJ in the refrigerator. Yes, there was breakfast, but I expected the usual full sit-down breakfast of eggs

You are in a small, out of the way, location near great sight seeing venues. The small town doesn't have a lot of lodging choices. We chose Captains Inn because of trip advisor reviews. We did not go wrong. Our room was comfortable; not a problem was encountered. Our hostess was more than helpful in assisting us in our excursions. The breakfast was okay. Very basic. You may want to go up the street and to the very good bakery.
