This hotel has been around a long time and has a prestigious history and reputation for old-fashioned French charm and excellence. Built in 1891, the Paulin family still owns and operates this hotel, which operates with simplicity. It didn't seem to have a computer at the large antique desk. The billing is all written out by hand by Gerard Paulin...

We are so pleased to have discovered Hotel Paulin - a gem along the beautiful Acadian coast. We were so impressed by the unique decor of our room, the special treat of being served fresh (and delicious) Arctic Char for our meal, and, most importantly, the warm hospitality of Karen and Gerard. We're sure that our first most memorable evening...

Hey!!! The hotel is not bad. Maybe it's me, that I prefer the hotels to be Normal or maybe modern. The rooms looks ok, but when you enter the hotel, everything looks old, and that's because all the decoration is really old. That fact for many people may look wonderful, but for me looks depressing. So, I don't want to...

Thank you for your feedback. I am not sure in which context you say we are over rated? You did not comment on any service or staff issues. Your review states you were happy with your room. You did not eat in our hotel dining room and you only slept here. You did not partake in the adventure & dinner...

A stay at the Hotel Paulin is an amazing experience. The hotel itself is absolutely charming and an historical treasure. Gerard is the third generation owner and we loved his descriptions of the hotel's history. The rooms have been completely redone - ours was very comfortable with beatiful antique furniture and a great view of the ocean. The real reason...

From my first phone conversation with Karen to reserve the room, I knew it would be a great experience. Karen & Gerard are fabulous warm hosts. Gerard was born in the hotel and is third generation. His love and respect for his guests and their comfort is his prime concern. Karen is a magician in the kitchen. Her professional, award...

We booked on short notice (24 hrs) for a stay on Thanksgiving night. We were the only guests and the owners were still out of town when we arrived. They gave us instructions on how to get to our room. It is a very quaint property full of interesting furniture and floral patterns. Our room was a reasonable size and...

Our room was very nice. I think there was an even better one with a view of the bay but ours was all we needed. Our hosts were wonderful. Great people to talk to about food or just about life. Our meal featured haddock, cooked in two different ways to accommodate an allergy of one guest. Great place to stay...

The Hotel Paulin has been in the Paulin family for generations and run by proprietors Gerard and Karen. It's a luxurious little inn type hotel in the charming town of Caraquet, New Brunswick. The food is exquisite, prepared by chef Karen. The hotel specializes in New Brunswick produce and products, such as cheese from the fromagerie in Caraquet, and wine...

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the old-world ambience, the beautiful food, and the charming hospitality of the owners. Karen created delicious and elegant dinners that we all enjoyed so much. The rooms are beautiful, very well appointed and very clean. I will be coming back to this lovely hotel

Everything about the Hotel Paulin is first-rate and then some. We have stayed here annually for nearly 20 years while attending the Lameque International Baroque Festival, which always includes one evening for a leisurely dinner presented by Gerard and Karen, an event in itself. However, I sometimes wonder why we are usually the only New Brunswick anglophone guests. The others...
