I'm a little late writing this as it was a month ago but we went to New Brunswick to visit family and found this B&B online. We prefer B&B's over chain type hotels. It was pretty easy to find. It's very charming and cozy. Well decorated and the room was very cute, quaint. Lots of towels, blankets, bed was very comfy. A lot of tv channels and the wi-fi was good, I was able to get some work done, without any issues. The negatives: I have bad allergies, specifically to strong scents/perfumes. The bed linen had a very strong smell of laundry detergent or fabric softener and it was off putting. Had me sneezing all night. Not wanting to sound overdramatic but truthfully, the scent was so strong that I could still smell it on my PJs when we got home. With so many people today with sensitivities to scents etc perhaps it's best the owner stop using it and make it unscented like other places? Sarah, the owner was a pleasant friendly lady but a tad too talkative. Second negative: We were very tired and really didn't feel up to talking so much. She tends to talk a lot about herself and we found it a bit much at times - but maybe it was just her way of making her guests feel welcome? The other negative, was the breakfast. Not great, very small, in fact not much at all. Good coffee. We ended up going to have a real breakfast an hour later, somewhere else. If none of the above negatives would bother you, then you would enjoy this B&B.

So sorry about the fabric scent issue, and we have taken action and eliminated it entirely from all bed linens and towels. Had we been aware you were not satisfied with the quantity of your breakfast, we would have been more than happy to offer you more.

Our expectations of Miramichi were not high but Sara got us off to a good start with a warm welcome to the beautifully-restored King George: in an excellent location in easy walking distance to the (limited) local dining options. But, in the end, we had a very funny night with some locals at Chatters, followed by a memorable breakfast. My King George room was a delight.

We experienced an exceptionally friendly host and a superb breakfast. Unfortunately the room was a bit worn out and did not come up to the standard of the otherwise perfect hospitality. The location of the inn was good.

This B & B was exceptional! The greeting we received when we arrived was so friendly. Our suite was large and beautiful with a nice patio right out our door. The linens were of the highest quality and there were plenty of towels and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night. The breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. We would love to come back! Thank you both for making our stay so special. Linda and Phil from Georgia, USA

Spent one night there , the room was very clean and the hostess greeted us warmly. The breakfast was very good and the coffee tasted like coffee instead of some places where it taste like colored water. I would go back there anytime while in the Miramichi area. I also would not hesitate to recommend The King George Bed & Breakfast to anyone.

We stayed with Sara at this lovely century home in late June/18. Queen Mary Room was absolutely stunning. Blues & dark antique wood including a fireplace. Sara was a wonderful host. It ends up she was born in the same town in Ontario where we currently live. AND the other couple staying in the b&b were from Ontario & we had mutual friends. It was so much fun. if there was any drawback, the house is on a Main Street with a lot of traffic so we couldn't open the windows - would have been impossible to sleep. But that's a small issue....I would strongly recommend Sara & her lovely home.

We stayed twice at this inn while on a motorcycle trip around the Gaspe. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the owners were very friendly. On the second stay we had the large suite downstairs which gave the two couples a place to sit and chat in the evening. The entrance to the inn feels a bit cluttered but don't let that deter you. We would definitely stay again.

A beautiful refurbished home. King room is so comfortable, spacious and the bed is like sleeping on air. Sarah is very accommodating and friendly. The breakfasts' she serves are delicious and plentiful and the table setting is very nice which compliments her hardy breakfast.

Upon our arrival we experienced a warm and cordial welcome. We slept in the King George room. Very comfortable bed, spacious and well appointed room. Due to an emergency back home, we left before breakfast so unable to comment. Already prepared for the morning meal however, the table settings were most elegant as was the beautiful old style dining room.

Easy to find. Gay friendly. Walking distance from water, food and activities. We stayed in the Duchess Suite on the ground floor room with access to a lovely garden. It is mentioned nowhere but there seems to be a full bar accessible upon request. There is also afternoon Tea.
