We spent a night in this tourist hotel. We had a room in the main building and a private room in the addition. In the main building the room was nice as well as the attached large bathroom. With two large suitcases it was a little tight moving around. We could hear the people upstairs as well as the showers in other rooms in the morning. You need to vacate by 10 so no sleeping in. The private room was really large and had its own coffee maker and kettle. They didn’t hear any other guests. You get a breakfast basket when you check in which consists of slice white and brown bread and raisin tea biscuits. In the in-room fridge you get yogurt, margarine and jam.

We stayed at Puffins Landing for 3 nights and had an excellent stay. The rooms are clean and modern the hosts are very gracious and accommodating. They provide you with a baskets of goodies for your breakfast, including homemade baked goods and jams. The Inn is within walking distance of the downtown the harbour and the historical sites around town. As a bonus the owners brother Eric is a wealth of information regarding the area and can seen pretty much everyday around the premises. He has a vast knowledge of where to eat, what to see and when to see it for pretty much most of the northern half of the Bonavista peninsula. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting this picturesque town.

Lovely home, hosts are very friendly and make great recommendations for anything in the area (restaurants, places to visit). The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and while they no longer offer breakfast service, the rooms have mini fridges and the hosts leave homemade treats for guests. The also offer photos for sale by the host's brother, and if you get a chance to talk to him, one of the friendliest and chattiest people I've ever met.

When we initially made the booking 3 years ago, the house was considered a B&B so we were a bit surprised when we finally arrived that this was no longer the case. Nonetheless, we were directed to local breakfast spots that were very close by and it all worked out well.
Our room had everything we needed including heat since it was still quite cool at night, but the room was small (to accommodate the bathroom, I'm sure). But despite that, we had a pleasant stay. The owners were very nice and were very helpful letting us know the places to see. Thanks for all your help and the great suggestions.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We like that it had its own private entry and was walking distance to many local restaurants. Keith was very helpful in giving us tips on where to go and even provided a detailed map. Upon arrival we received a breakfast basket that included homemade jam and fresh baked goods from Maureen. We would definitely stay here again. Wonderful!

We were welcomed long before we arrived. Due to the shortage of cars for rent we called to cancel our trip. We were looking forward to seeing Newfoundland and reluctantly made the call. Both Keith and Maureen were wonderful. They provided us with options to get to and from Bonavista from St Johns and went out of their way to make sure we saw everything
The Puffin’s Landing is a pretty place. It is very clean and comfortable. We stayed for six nights and enjoyed the Lincoln and the King ‘s suite The decor is tasteful and many added features like a coffee / tea station and a nice welcome basket it is located in the downtown area and most sites are minutes away.
We would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bonavista

Our room had a kitchenette and King Bed. It was vey quiet and had all the amenities that we needed. A small breakfast basket was provided in the fridge as Covid has spoiled the B and B option. The owners greeted us and explained things we needed to know about the area! They also replied quickly before our stay to answer any questions. Well done and Thank you.

We left a part of our soul in Bonavista with Keith and Maureen and Eric and Rosalyn. They made us feel so comfortable. We had no reservations….wanted to stay in Bonavista for five days. Keith worked magic and made it work. He arranged for the pirate to go cod jigging with Captain Herb and Maureen graciously let me have her pedicure appointment at Salted Blonde, where Karen made my toes look beautiful one more. …two months travelling, it was time for a pedicure. Eric kept us very attuned to what was happening during festival….even got to spend an evening listening to local music with him. Such a kind man. And Rosalyn shared the most delicious bake apple cheesecake with us. We have continued on our journey, but we will miss our new friends in Bonavista.

Stayed here on our way from Twillingate to St. John's. Our host was very accommodating and informative about the area. Room was fairly basic (King Chester Suite) but comfortable. There was a basket of food in the fridge but in my humble opinion would not qualify the inn to be called a bed & "breakfast".

We really enjoyed our stay at Blue Whales Oceanfront cottage. It was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and had an amazing view of the ocean right out front. We were close to many hiking trails, the Bonavista lighthouse and the puffins at Elliston. Keith was a great host and even arranged for fresh lobsters and a big pot to cook them in - complete with instructions, which provided for a very memorable, enjoyable supper, and lobster rolls for lunch!
