The outside of The Bird's Nest B&B is paved over to allow for ten or fifteen cars which owners leave there when they leave the province for work. If you are looking for a place to grab a couple of hours rest before an early morning flight, this might work well for you as the owner is good about driving... More

first impressions are not good when arriving at the Bird's Nest, overgrown garden, lots of cars parked in driveway, smell of bacon greets you on entering, thin and small towels, breakfast consists of Compliments Corn Flakes, bacon and scrambled eggs, make your own toast, store made jam. No fruit served The only advantage of the b&b is the fact that the... More

Not a great experience. Our host double booked our room so we landed up spending two nights of a 5 night stay in a smaller room with no closet and small bathroom. We were expecting better service with their 4 star rating. I think 3 star would be more accurate. Uninspired breakfasts, unkept outside grounds, no basic cleaning done daily... More

- Very accommodating with arrival and departure times (our flight got in at 1:30am - and owner was ready to greet us and show the room) - polite owner - clean - we stayed in a room that had a living area, tv, kitchen, separate bedroom for $109.00 (with tax) - breakfast was continental with option for eggs and bacon... My sister and I stayed in this lovely bed and breakfast on 2 separate occasions during our Newfoundland trip. We experienced warm and friendly hospitality from Gordon, our host, who served up a delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon, along with fresh berry jams for our toast. There is a beautiful family room with an immense stone fireplace where... More

I stayed here for work and a friend of mine met me to share a room. The price automatically includes 2 people which is nice. The room was clean and the wifi was good. However one of the bed's sheets was stained in several places. Also the lamp between the two beds turned on and off at will and only... More

This was a great stop right by deer lake airport and the owners are super nice and down to earth. The place was clean and breakfast options are hot or continental. I don't understand the other reviews but we found this place great! We love our room.

We found this Bed and Breakfast friendly, comfortable, clean, quiet and welcoming. The fact that we can leave our vehicle, and be delivered to and from the airport at anytime, is one of the best parts of staying here. There is free breakfast, and a place to make tea or coffee, and a place for your beverage to stay cold.... More

Nice bedroom and decent price but an unhappy experience overall. At one point there was a violent interaction at the front door (next to my room) that had me shaking with the door locked - it was a nightmare worthy of the police. Before my arrival I also sent a package to their address - with prior approval - but... More

I always stay at the Bird's Nest on the way to most of my vacations which require flying from Deer Lake. The prices are amazing and the rooms are comfortable and meet my needs. There are free transfers to and from the airport no matter what the time and you can also leave your vehicle at the B & B... More
