The White Sails Inn and Cabins are nestled next to beautiful Eastport Beach on the East Coast of Newfoundland. We have cottages that range in size from 1 bedroom to 5 bedrooms. All cottages are fully equipped for short or lengthy stays. The cottages are nicely separated for privacy. Our property also includes a large playground, a cook-house and wide open spaces for recreational activities. We are centrally located and close to all major attractions in the Eastport Peninsula region. We are steps away from the beach and the local trail network known as the "Damnable Trail". A new addition to our business is an original Newfoundland Salt Box house, floated from a nearby island some 70 years ago. This Salt Box house is fast becoming our most popular and favourite accommodation.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at the floated salt box house in Eastport, NL, and the house was so cozy and comfortable. In the evening we could hear the sound of the ocean and it was in a perfect location. What we really enjoyed about the house was it wasn’t filled with too much “stuff”. It was the perfect getaway and we can’t wait to go back!

Our family of 4 (2 kids) stayed at White Sails Inn and Cabins for 3 nights, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. First of all the cabins are beautiful, very clean, and have everything you need. The owners are the nicest people and so knowledgeable of the area and are only happy to inform you of places to visit and good spots to eat. Eastport Beach is a quick stroll across the street, and it was quite peaceful to head there early to watch the sunrise and have the beach to ourselves. There is so much to do and so many sights to take in, we could have stayed longer. It was also a pleasant surprise to meet the owner's famous cat, Louie who is such a sweetheart. We are already planning our stay for next summer.

We were offered and booked The Little Floated Saltbox house just down the road from the White Sails Inn. What a lovely place to stay! The saltbox was entirely for our use with a full kitchen and living area downstairs and the whole second floor a
bedroom with a sitting area and a small bathroom. The house is beautifully decorated. I wish this house could follow us throughout the rest of our trip!
Would definitely stay there again!

The Old Floated Salt Box house is painted a sunny yellow and is easy to spot on the road out of Eastport towards Salvage. The house has been beautifully renovated in bright colors and tastefully furnished and has everything you need for your stay. Most importantly the bed is super comfortable.
The sandy beach across the road from the main Inn and cabins is one of the best in the area.
The hosts Nancy and Shane are welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. This was one of the best short breaks we have had. I would highly recommend this part of Newfoundland and Nancy and Shane’s hospitality.

We just got back from a lovely weekend at White Sails cabins. We rented the one bedroom it was so adorable small but very cozy and great for two people. Simple adorable little cabin with great amenities with a deck and bbq. The area is absolutely beautiful and the owners are the nicest people. We had a great weekend and Eastport beach is just across the road. Thanks

Recently spent three nights at the White Sails Inn and Cabins. We were a party of five adults and were in adjoining cabins 2 and 3. All expectations were met beginning with cleanliness, amenities and the feeling of comfort. Upon arrival we were greeted by Nancy and Shane who ensured we were comfortable and in need of nothing. They were just like old friends who took the time to provide us with all of the information of Eastport’s hidden gems. Be sure to check in with them to make the most of your visit. The location is perfect! Across the street from a beautiful beach and within close proximity to hiking trails and the Ferry ride to St. Brendans. So glad we picked this ideal location!

I just loved staying in this little gem across from the ocean. Everything you need is provided! Just bring food, clothes and a beach towel. Nancy is a wonderful and kind host , and I really enjoyed exploring the area. Lots of walking trails and the drive to salvage is stunning. Although I travelled alone, this is also a great place for families, as they have larger cabins as well. Cheers and enjoy!

Couldn't ask for a better place when visiting, directly across from Eastport Beach and close to all the walking and hiking trails. Eastport Peninsula isn't big so nothing is far, but the beach is super close. You can access some of the Damnable Trails hiking without needing a car, but the big trails are only 10 minutes away by car in Salvage. Great location for kids and families.

Cabins are older but exceptionally well maintained, very clean and reasonably priced. The cabins are set in a field directly across the road from Eastport Beach. A nice choice for families with children. The kitchen has everything you'd need.
