My mother and I booked on very short notice. We ended up in 2 different rooms, but they were both lovely. The 1st was inside the lodge and had a queen and ensuite. The 2nd was in a cabin that was a semi-detached. There were 2 accommodations in the one building. We had a double bed with a bathroom. Breakfast was well done and a great way to start your day. The beds were very comfortable. I do wish more places would do twins that turn to kings. The breakfast cards need to be read much clearer. Breakfast was served between 7 and 9. But the card has you check a time? 7 or 9? The wifi on the northern peninsula is no joke, and it is widespread. It used to be much better everywhere and has taken a turn for the worst. Download your maps and directions. Our reservation did not say Viking on it and pulling up information is tricky when wifi is being prickly. We wandered a bit and took a chance we were in the right place. Not the fault of the bnb. Just a heads up when going north.

These accommdations were great for our needs and comfortable, but unfortunately lacked AC at a time it would have been nice. I have to assume it is rare that AC is an issue in this region? The bed and the ammenities were great for the price and a well appointed private bathroom was nice. The included breakfast was one of the best we had our whole trip! Be prepared for some mosquitoes and blackflies and your GPS may have trouble pinpointing this location...so pay attention to signage in the area.

The room is small but enough for two. Bed is comfortable. The one beef is the lack of air conditioning during a very warm stretch in July. We slept with our patio door open. The best part was the deck off the room that allowed us to meet and chat with our fellow patrons. We got to sit out sipping our drinks and discussing our respective vacations. Breakfast we good - we filled out an order sheet each evening and left it in the kitchen. The staff got it right both mornings. The table was adorned with brown sugar, cinnamon, molasses, and several types of local jams including bakeapple. They were yummy. Lovely start of every day. Other than the heat, we had a great time.

This place was clean and had character. It had a nice common sitting area. Two things though. 1). The walls are paper thin and 2) they had only 2 breakfast times to choose, 7am or 9am. Neither were convient

Very cozy rooms, small bathroom, great breakfast with two choices, nice common room where you can chat with other guests. If lucky, you will have a patio with water view (we didn’t). Walls a bit thin if you have a noisy neighbours. Very close to Viking Village National Park. Recommend Daily Cath for dinner. Definitely recommend,

We stayed one night here on our road trip around Newfoundland. We stayed in Queen Room #3 that included a deck with a beautiful view over the water. That is, when we could see the water through the fog! the room was pretty basic but was clean and had all the amenities we required for a good night sleep. We awoke the next morning to clear blue skies. We had been given a range of options to be served breakfast and enjoyed the eggs, bacon, toast etc. served with a smile. With the improved weather, we made a last minute inquiry into an iceberg boat tour but were disappointed to learn everything was booked until late in the afternoon. B&B owner Terry jumped in to call a local fisherman named Ken to take us out on his skiff. Ken turned it into one of those unexpected great experiences, touring us around a couple of the bays to see three icebergs, getting a view of the Viking Village Norstead from the water and pointing out a few other interesting landmarks along the way. And yes, he did stop by a small berg on the way back to chip us off a piece of ice to put in our cooler for drinks later in the day. Many thanks for Terry for a nice stay at the B&B and for arranging this fun local experience!

Thanks for a great time showing us Newfoundland hospitality. Remember you are way up the Great Northern Penninsula in a very remote area of NL - rooms are more than adequate. Breakfast would feed a family of 4 - thanks to the Ladies who make everything work - Cassie and Judy. Also thank you to Terry for making us feel right at home and part of the family. Until we meet again!

We stayed at Viking Village at the end of May. The owner, Terry, went out of his way to make us comfortable and feel welcome. He was very helpful and answered our hundreds of questions over several phone calls when we booked our stay. The cabins are a few metres from the shore and you can see Labrador from your bedroom! The rooms were spotless. The breakfasts were excellent and cooked just as we asked. The only (very minor) flaw was the driveway to the cabins: there were some large potholes. Overall, great job Terry and crew! Thank you so very much for being a great host.

We traveled all around Newfoundland and stayed in many B&B'S, This was the best! Beautiful room, beautiful surroundings, great hostess, great food. Really enjoyed our 2 day stay. It was so quiet and peaceful, wish we would have stayed longer. Highly recommend this B&B.
