We traveled all around Newfoundland and stayed in many B&B'S, This was the best! Beautiful room, beautiful surroundings, great hostess, great food. Really enjoyed our 2 day stay. It was so quiet and peaceful, wish we would have stayed longer. Highly recommend this B&B.

Nice view of the sea if you have a room seaside, personal deck and chairs a nice touch. Rooms are a bit small and walls a bit thin. Breakfast is nice, although repetitive if you stay more than 1 night. The staff are friendly. Best restaurant for dinner is the lovely Norseman in Norstead, very close by.

Great place to stay, very convenient and close to the Viking Settlement. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the homemade breakfast and jams. Everyone was friendly and helpful during our stay. Best of all was the quiet and of course the beautiful views of the water from our room's porch. We also ate at Terry’s restaurant the Daily Catch and had a wonderful filling meal for a great price.

We spent two nights here. We had connected separate rooms each with their own bathroom facing the ocean side. Outside we had our own little decks with lawn furniture. Being able to chose breakfast items was also a plus. We also did our laundry there. There was a cost but no more expensive than a laundromat and everything was provided. We dined in the next cove at The Daily Catch Restaurant. If I ever find myself in that area again, I will most certainly stay at this B&B.

It was these reviews that made me book this B&B so I have just reread the reviews of and the Viking Village B&B and what we got is not how it is described. “Home made Bread” not when we were there. The cheapest bread on the market was what we had. We booked in 2021 and our booking was for two bedrooms for three nights, with a queen size bed, a balcony facing the ocean, what we got was the “ Shed” . The “shed is a two room addition away from the main house. It was put together with second hand doors, old bedding and old towels. It was clean, but very small, just room for a double bed and one small dresser. I have no problem With using recycled product, in this case the doors but at least have the decency to repaint them. Cheap blinds, one tiny window and no screen door. A small fan to move the air around and of course no window in the bathroom. The B&B was fully booked and there was not enough seating in the cramped dining room for us all, we had to wait till some else was finished. The window in the lounge was broken so you could not open it and it was very hot. I know COVID hit the tourist trade and people in Newfoundland are trying to make a decent living but we did not get what was advertised or what we BOOKED. There was no host to greet us, just our names on a board. If it had not been for another guest we would not have know anything. The ladies who did the breakfast WERE GREAT did the best with what was given them, but Bologna offered for breakfast?????? I have contacted Terry, the owner to share my concerns but as of today I have heard nothing back from him, thus I am writing my review. The only good thing about this B&B was the location and how close it was to the Viking Village, an absolute must to see. There were lots of repeat guests there when we arrived and so I guess my standards are high, but I have traveled the world and I do not stay in five star hotels because I like to experience the local people and place we stay in. I cannot in all good conscience recommend this B&B

My husband and I recently stayed at this wonderful little gem that feels like your home at the end of the world. This was my third visiting the beautiful island of Newfoundland and staying at the Viking Village and my husband's first. We drove all the way from New Jersey to celebrate our 25th anniversary on this magical island. There is a reason why I return to the Viking Village each time, because it is a little gem run by the most wonderful warm ladies you could hope to meet! The rooms are clean and cozy. We had a room that faced the cove/ocean and watched the most spectacular sunset we had ever seen right from our deck. Breakfast in the morning is cooked to order and delicious. The ladies make you feel at home and its a pleasure to enjoy your meal and talk to your fellow travelers. Terry the owner is attentive and genuinely cares about the comfort of each guest. His restaurant, the Daily Catch, is terrific as well. Terry can also arrange boat tours where you can see icebergs and whales. We are looking forward to coming back again to the Viking Village.

The staff and owner (Terry) were great. Breakfast to order included home made bread. We were able to purchase souvenirs (jams, jellies, knitted hats, pot holders) that were made by staff (Cassie). We also ate at the owner's nearby restaurant while we were there. Great staff there too and the lobster chowder was fantastic. Everyone was more than happy to point us toward the best viewing sites for the 2 large icebergs that were still in the area. Very good location, literally across the street to the road to the Viking Historic Site. Beautiful view of Hay Cove from our room. Can't say enough about this place.

Room was small but clean and comfortable with a great view. Book one with a balcony looking out to the sea. The ladies that look after the B&B and prepare breakfast are really friendly and helpful, as is Terry the owner. His restaurant The Daily Catch is definitely worth a visit, and he arranges boat trips too. We had to book here last minute as the B&B we were planning on staying in closed unexpectedly and Terry went out of his way to help us.

While the room was ok & the breakfast was delicious, it was not what I had booked. I made a reservation in September 2021 requesting 2 ocean front rooms & received a small room facing the parking lot. The room had a double bed & single which was a problem as my friend & I wanted separate rooms. The owner, Terry Henderson, said he had made a mistake & we could have the room for a cheaper price. We had to take it as there was no other option available. After checking in & seeing other empty rooms, I believe that he had rented out the prime rooms to those people that were staying 2 nights while we were just staying one night. It taught me a valuable lesson to confirm your reservation & rooms close to the time you need them & not assume you will get the room you booked

We are spending a month out east and Terry and his staff of Cassie and Judy have made our stay here the highlight of our visit. Terry goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. He arranged an ice berg cruise for us with Captain Keith which was entertaining and informative. He then got us tickets to the Viking Feast as it was sold out and it was a ball. Thanks again Terry. I could go on and on but needless to say it was terrific.
