Had a 1 bedroom suite rented for 4 nites last weekend …. Quiet , private clean, easily accessible with a sofa bed pull out !! Friendly checkin and out !!! Lots of things to do in proximity , brewery, famous Skerwink trail . Would gladly recommend to anyone visit. After dark the area going up to where our suite was very dark…. We tried to change the bulb but there must be a problem with the wiring
I would definitely stay again. Had a two bedroom suite which was clean and comfortable with its own private deck. The location is a quick drive to Trinity and within walking distance to the Port Rexton Brewery. There is also a grocery store, liquor store and coffee shop all within minutes. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We decided to extend our stay an extra night at the last minute and the staff were able to quickly make that happen.
Cottage was exceptionally clean, loved the fact that it had cottages that was pet friendly. Everything was there if you felt the need to cook, there was also a privacy deck. Would def stay again! Shawn, Marizona (doggies) Brady & Angel♥️
Stayed there last year and didnt hesitate to stay there again last week. clean and cozy with everything you need in a suite. Walking distance to the famous Port Rexton Brewery and the skerwink hiking trail. Great location at a reasonable price.
We stayed in the Peace Cove Cottage. With its ocean view and open concept the place was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. We enjoyed our 1 night stay and how close it was to everything especially the Skerwink Trail. We had 8 people in our party and the only down fall was 1 bathroom. We had to ask for dish soap and more towels to accommodate everyone in our group. Other than that it was clean and peaceful. We will definitely return again and book this cottage.
Yes, for touring the Bonavista Peninsula, this is a perfect base to establish a few days on the Discovery Trail. This review is about the Sherwood Suites so Location was most important to note starting. Centrally located on the peninsula, very near most popular Trinity and the best, the Port Rexton Brewery is a 10 minute walk away and the Amazing Skerwink Trail is a 25 minute walk away or a 5 minute drive to the trail's start point. This trail is a little challenging in places but one of Newfoundland's best kept secrets. STUNNING! As for the accomodations, it is what it is intended to be; NOT a B&B, but very nice and spacious cabins or remote motel units, take your pick. It's your stopover rest place and has everything you need for that. You can choose to have a kitchen and suite or just a very large room and bath. Everything inside and outside is so spacious and the view from the deck at the rear building with the most rooms is spectacular albeit slightly distant from the actual ocean. A tip; start the trail counter clockwise. It's easier to climb all those grades than it is to go down those. I have terrible vertigo so can't handle heights at all. But you can manage this trail with just some anxiety in places. But you just can't help filling your photo album and video card on this trail, a 9 of 10.…
Visited beautiful Port Rexton / Trinity area with another couple. Awesome little cottage situated right in Peace Cove. Very clean house and large enough for families or 3 couples (does sleep 8 but might be come a little crowded). Very close to the world famous Skirwink Trail, Port Rexton Brewery, and 10 minute drive to scenic Trinity!
Very good location for visiting Port Rexton, Trinity and Bonavista Peninsula attractions. Many very good hiking/walking trails close to this area. Walking distance to Port Rexton Brewery. Close to Trinity and the Rising Tide Theatre.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and had a terrible experience. The beds (we tried both!) were totally uncomfortable, we could actually feel the springs. Our stay was ruined by 3 nights with very little sleep. It wasn't very clean and had no mirror's, other than the small medicine cabinet in the bathroom. The patio was nice and big, but no bbq! When we called to ask were told we should have requested it at time of booking. There was no mention of this when booking online. A small table top bbq was provided afterwards. Disappointing.
Stayed in Peace Cove Cottage at a last minute decision on a trip through the area. Absolutely beautiful! It was very clean and had everything we could have needed at out fingertips. The only problem was we didnt stay long enough.
