Six of us stayed at Peace Cottage for four nights in May 2019. We spent our days chasing icebergs and hiking the cliff-side trails around Port Rexton, Bonavista and Spillar's Cove. Our suite was very comfortable and well-stocked. We ate most of our meals there and never lacked for anything. The full-service laundromat was a great addition.

Sherwood Suites were clean, quiet and situated close to hiking trails and the famous Port Rexton brewery. Jim, our host, was simply amazing and very customer service oriented. Overall value proved to be superb.

Me and my boyfriend visited Port Rexton during the off season. There wasn’t much available to do but we just wanted to get out of the city and explore. The suite was adequate, as we wanted something quiet, that had a cabin like feel. Unfortunately, the furnishings in this particular suite were very uncomfortable, and the bed was extremely hard. Also it was not very well stocked. I’m thinking this was because it was off season and maybe during the busy summer months more attention will be given to the spaces. Overall it was ok but I would definitely want to take a look at the suite before booking next time to ensure a comfortable stay.

The tour company booked this place as no available place in Trinity with two beds. It is about 12 minutes away, but we found it very adequate. Clean, updated. Had two bedrooms with double beds, very comfortable, good shower in one bathroom. Living room, good kitchen with adequate supplies, deck with a picnic table. Quiet. No restaurants near so instead of driving back to Trinity, we bought eggs and bread at a grocery store. Just fine. The lady at the desk was not helpful. Seemed annoyed when we asked her questions about facilities around as we kept disturbing her telephone chat with a friend! However I would recommend this place.

We stopped at The Sherwood Suites in Port Rexton during our trip to the Bonavista Peninsula. The motel is set up in separate buildings and offers a clean room featuring a tidy bathroom and a clean bed. For those interested, the owners have provided a microwave, fridge and toaster; enough to have a light meal. Clean up supplies and utensils are available with a table at which to eat.

Our 2 bedroom suite was clean, with a well stocked kitchen, and quiet. Staff were very helpful and responded quickly to questions. The location is perfect for sightseeing in the area, from Trinity to Elliston. Highly recommended.

We spent one night at Sherwood Suites over Labour Day weekend. The suite we had was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had is that there is not enough light in the living room area or in the bathroom. Very quiet - didn't hear a sound all night. Great view of the area from our suite. Service was excellent and staff were very friendly. Loved that the staff used a clothesline to dry sheets!

For the city folks coming from out of provinces, you might feel this is “glamping” or that it’s an outdated motel but trust me - don’t judge a book by its cover, there is some great down home hospitality here! We had the deluxe suite with the set up being more like a junior 1 bedroom apartment. The room is basic and so is the decor. Actually if I am honest (with myself) the sofa was horrendous to sit on, not really comfy after a long day of hiking. Room service is basic as well so it would have been nice if the room was provided with pen and a paper to leave a note for the room cleaner. The cleaner did not take the extra garbage bags we left beside the trash can. The patio had two plastic Muskoka (Adirondack) chairs and a picnic table, that was nice! Laundry facilities
