I stayed there for one night and found the cabin to be bright and clean and bed was very comfortable. The price is excellent as was the service. I would definitely book with Sherwood Suites again whenever I'm back in Port Rexton.

We were very happy with this motel! It was a very clean, private, and a very short walk away from the brewery. Our bed was comfortable and everything we needed was there. Would definitely recommend for people going to Port Rexton to have a good time!

Excellent place to stay, nice clean rooms, the grounds have a campground feel with a playground and trails, and it's close to Skerwink trail, Trinity, and walking distance of the brewery. The only complaint is that the fire alarms of a row of rooms went off at 4:30am and we got quite a scare. It didn't just beep like it had a low battery, it went completely off and we jumped out of bed and ran outside. The only explanation given was that the fire alarms were out of date. FIRE ALARMS SHOULD ALWAYS BE MAINTAINED!!! Especially in any hotel/motel/cabins. The owners were made aware and hopefully the alarms will be replaced. Otherwise, great place to stay and we would likely book Sherwood Suites again if staying in the area again.

We stayed at Sherwood Suites this past week. It’s a wonderful place to stay to take in the sites around Port Rexton, and surrounding areas. The staff at Sherwood always are so helpful and friendly .This past week we had a flat tire on our vehicle, but not to worry ,a worker named Damien stepped up and went above his duty. He blew up the tire, and sent me to his friends garage to get the tire plugged, when I got there they were expecting me,Damien had texted his friend to tell him I was on the way!! My brother is in a wheelchair, they accommodated us with a ramp into the suite. The suite is clean and fresh, with lots of room to move around in his chair..Damien actually reinforced the ramp with extra boards underneath for safety!! Thank You guys so much, we will be back!!

Clean, well furnished cabins in Port Rexton, close to the brewery, Two Whales cafe, Skerwink and Fox Island trails. Very good location. Port Rexton is an interesting community, not as busy as Trinity.

We picked this place for a base to explore Trinity and Bonavista. Trinity is few minutes drive, Bonavista is further, but not too far. Skerwink trail is around the corner - could probably even walk there. It's absolutely worth hiking, one of the best hikes in NL! Accommodation wise, we had 2 bedroom unit in the furthest building up. Our unit and another one next to it even had a "private" deck - that is separated by the railing from other units. Everything was nice and clean. The view from the entrance door was quite nice. While you could see some water in clean weather, I wouldn't call it bay view or anything - but it was quite pleasant. Service wasn't particularly friendly, but no complains either. We were happy with the place, where we spent 2 nights.

Stayed for 3 nights, 2 nights too many. From the pictures on the website we expected a spectacular water view from our room. Our view was of evergreen trees front and back. If we had been looking for that view we would have been happy, but going by the website, very disappointed. Another couple we were travelling with had a view of the parking lot. The only unit that is worth the money is unit 11. We would never stay there again.

Wanted to see a few places in central Newfoundland on our trip from St. John's to Deer Lake and St. Anthony. Thought Trinity would be a good stopping point to spend the afternoon there, then go to Elliston for puffins and Cape Bonavista. We only wanted one night and most of the accomodations in Trinity seem to be owned by one group who require a 2 night stay, so we decided to try Sherwood Suites. We weren't expecting much, so were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the cabin that appeared fairly recently redone. It was roomy, kitchen apparently fairly well outfitted (though I didn't cook there, just cereal and coffee for breakfast), shower was good. No complaints except perhaps the uncomfortableness of the sofa - very straight back and ultra firm cushions - but the…

Bathroom fan was always on when light was on. It was annoying if you wanted to use bathroom light for night light. One light bulb was burned out when we arrived. Housekeeping should have caught that. We did get a replacement rather quickly. It was nice to have a picnic table. Ocean view was across the road quite a ways and in between the trees. Overall accommodations were nice.

Following a jaunt to Labrador- Battle Harbour and Forteau- and a stunning stay in Gros Morne National Park, we expected less spectacular surroundings in the Trinity/ Bonavista area. Not so! Port Rexton was a short jaunt to the historical village of Trinity, and a slightly longer ( less than an hour) drive to Cape Bonavista to visit the spot Cabot touched down on in 1497. The REAL treat was a little detour to Elliston, pictured below. Our motel was perfect! It was fully equiped with a fridge, stove and microwave. Provisions were purchased at the store down the street. A nice patio and picnic table with divider for privacy was an added perk. My one gripe would be the remote control. You will need a PhD to figure out how to check the news! The Port Rexton Brewery was a nice tasty…
