We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay here. The view of the bay from our room was absolutely incredible. The entire property is utterly stunning. The dinner menu was in perfect symbiosis with the time of season. The freshness and quality of their garden ingredients, as well as the delightful sense of balance by which each course was prepared make this experience a must in Newfoundland. A well-deserved 5 star rating.

The Fisherman’s Loft is a great place to spend time at when in Newfoundland. The Loft offers panoramic views of the area and the property itself is so well maintained. Our room and huge bathroom was perfect. Our second evening meal did not equal the previous evening meal unfortunately. The staff were really friendly.

Everything about our stay was great. Our room was spacious and beautiful. We enjoyed an amazing dinner and breakfast at the inn. This is a fantastic experience in NFLD. The walking trails were in great shape and well worth going.

The Inn is a collection of houses on a large property, our room was a single King and occupied 1/2 of the main floor . It was wonderfully decorated and spacious. We were unable to have dinner there because we waited too long to reserve, but the diners raved about the food. The Inn overlooks Rexton Harbour and was a great place to go and just let go. The family was very kind and made our trip memorable. I can not recommend it highly enough.

We stayed in tree-top view rooms and had beautiful view of ocean and coast. Very comfortable and clean. They shared lots of ideas of things to do. We recommend eating dinners and breakfasts there. Great food and very relaxing.

We actually had windows on three sides of our room. Really special. Walking distance to the Skerwink trail. Save yourself a bit of time and walk. We drove and had trouble finding the parking lot. Skerwink trail deserves its place on the top 25 hikes in Canada list.

Second time staying here and remained a delight. The room was large, quiet, beautifully furnished with an incredible view. We declined daily room service as we stayed for only 2 nights, very clean on arrival. Great spot for hiking the Skerwink Trail or for heading up to Bonavista, Elliston or Trinity. Breakfast offered is fantastic - they have a separate bar for fruit, cereals, yogurt, fresh baked scones or muffins brought to your table and then a choice between 2 hot dishes. A great way to start your day. We did have their dinner one evening - quite pricey but 4 courses and all excellent. Reservations are required.

This hotel provided me with the worst night of sleep I think I have ever had in my entire life. The hotel prides itself on being like a piece of “old England.” They do this quite well: It’s unbearably warm in the rooms (no AC), the beds felt like a slab of concrete, and there were people yelling/ slamming doors all throughout the night. So, if the “old English” feel you are looking for is that of a poverty stricken peasant, this is the place for you. Another fun, charming part of this stay was the incredibly unfriendly woman who checked us in who seemed to not care whether or not we would enjoy our stay. While trying to fall asleep on my concrete slab, I created a list of places I would rather stay. 1.) Guantanamo Bay (People there are probably friendlier than woman at front desk) 2.) On top of a moving train car (Would be quieter and have more of a breeze) 3.) The fiery pits of Hell (Probably cooler down there than this room) Now to the restaurant. Staff there was friendly, however food was lackluster. For dinner we were asked to choose between two options (this part was fine), what was a bit weird is the lack of information on the meal. We were served three course prior to the main meal, and were not told what we would be receiving. This turned out to be a massive waste of food. The first three course were just okay, the main dish and dessert were the best part. Overall, if you want a hotel that will disappoint you in almost every aspect, this is the hotel for you.
