Sue and Norm have wonderful accommodations right downtown Rocky Harbour. Across the street from a nice little Rocky beach perfect for seaglass picking and marina. We stayed in Cottage #1. It was super clean and smelled great when we walked in. Well stocked kitchenette with pots, pans, dishes and cutlery, coffee maker, fridge, stove etc. Gas BBQ on the deck and comfortable beds . Shampoo, soap and hair dryer supplied and even coffee for the next day.
Stores for food, liquor, souvenirs and gift items within walking distance or a short drive and restaurants and ice cream parlours within walking distance or a short drive as well. Right next door to the Anchor Pub where the Anchors Aweigh show is and only 20 minute drive to the parking lot for the Western Brook Fjord boat Tour.
We loved Bottom Brook Cottages and will hopefully return again someday for a longer stay.

My wife and I stayed in a cottage on Wednesday, August 4th, on our visit to the park from our stay outside Corner Brook. We had another pair of friends in another cabin. From the time I called to make our reservation my dealings with Norm were like discussions you would have with a close family member. Sincere, professional, welcoming. We did not meet Sue during our visit but by the sounds of every review you are in good hands with either owner.
Cottage was excellent, two bedrooms and everything you could ask for. Norm insisted if it wasn't provided, get in touch with him and he would locate it for you. He also picked up our show tickets that required pickup by noon on our arrival day as we knew we wouldn't arrive in time. Thanks again Sir.
We also had friends in an RV that hadn't thought about staying at cabins but wanted to join us for the evening and Norm accomodated them by providing a parking location free of charge. Thank you sir, above and beyond what one typically sees in the service industry as of late.
This location was beautiful if visiting Gros Morn and our only mistake was we didn't plan to stay longer in the park. We will rectify that next summer and find our way back to this property.
Thanks from our Nova Scotia party of travellers ;-)

THANKS FOR THE INCREDIBLE REVIEW!!! I remember the day I drove a Parks Canada vehicle into the compound for the last time. It was the end of my four summers working with Parks Canada. I was going back to University for my last year and when I handed the keys to my boss and thanked him for my four outstanding summers with Parks Canada his response was, "I hope you come back with us some day!" I finished my University training and went teaching in Labrador for two years and then I came back to my National Park and taught school for 35 years in three different communities in the Park. After being back for four years I started Bottom Brook Cottages, with a great love and pride for Gros Morne National Park and our beautiful province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Whenever anyone stays with myself and Sue at Bottom Brook Cottages we both like to share this great love and pride for our National Park! Whether it's picking up their tickets for the next door famous, "Anchor's Aweigh Show", helping guest cook and crack their lobster, or sharing my moose meat with guest or just sharing our knowledge of Gros Morne National Park with visitors. Whatever Sue and I can do to help make your visit more pleasant and more memorable certainly gives us great pleasure!

We whole heartedly recommend Bottom Brook Cottages to anyone visiting Newfoundland. We can't say enough about our hosts Norm and Sue Parsons. Full of ideas for things to do, located right in Gros Morne Park, walk next door to the amazing Anchors Aweigh Show, etc. Norm even cooked and cracked fresh lobster and crab for us...what a feast! The cottages are very clean and contain everything you may need should you be cooking. If you are visiting Rocky Harbour, this is the place to stay! Norm was instrumental in helping us get our rental repaired very quickly. There is a fire pit with complimentary firewood and each cottage has a BBQ as well. We cannot provide a higher recommendation for Bottom Brook Cottages!

Thanks for your amazing review! As I have said many times, "the nicest thing about our business is meeting nice people!" It gives myself and my wife Sue great pleasure in hearing that we had a part to play in your great trip to NL. We help our guest everyday to plan their day and get the most out of our beautiful park of Gros Morne. My three burner outdoor stove is getting lots of use this season with our beautiful fresh Atlantic lobster, snow crab and mussels! It's nice that you got to enjoy this complimentary service that we provide to our guest. Most of our guest have had the pleasure of being able to pay anywhere from $7 to $9 a pound for lobster and snow crab this season. This price changes weekly depending on the market and that is set by the commercial lobster buyers. We are always glad to assist whenever we can. Norm & Sue

Stayed for the second time at this property and it was even better than the first time. We had booked for one night, but when we mentioned to Norm, our host, that we might wish to stay the second night, he assured us that he would accommodate us and he did. He also added that if we would like fresh lobster, cooked and cracked, that he would make that happen, and he did.
He and Sue are so helpful and friendly, having restaurant menus on hand for local eateries and theatre news and places of interest in the area.... all very useful.
Cannot wait to go back there for a fine, clean, amiable place to be. Cheers,

I have often said to my wife Sue, “one of the nicest things about our little business is meeting and pleasing nice people!” Since Sue and I both retired from teaching it gives us extra time to spend at our business and with our customers. We both try very hard to see that our customers enjoy Bottom Brook Cottages, Rocky Harbour, Gros Morne National Park and Newfoundland and Labrador! A lot of our guest have certainly enjoyed watching their evening meal of Lobsters being cooked on my outdoor stove and have enjoyed watching me crack them outdoors. The ultimate pleasure comes from having the meal of Lobster outdoors on the picnic table or at their cottage! This is just another little service that myself and Sue have added to our business and our customers have really appreciated it. The only cost to the customer is the price of the Lobster which have ranged in price this season from $7 a Lobster to $9 a Lobster depending on the price of Lobsters. We are certainly glad that you got the pleasure of enjoying this service. We are glad that you enjoyed both visits with us and looking forward to meeting you again! Norm & Sue

What a wonderful location and such fantastic hosts in Norm and Sue Parsons.
Newfoundland is such a special place and Rocky Harbour is incredibly scenic.
We stayed in the 4 bedroom house, 2 bathroom home which was fully stocked, laundry available, large kitchen, fire pit and so much more.
I cannot wait to visit this area again, and am so grateful to have spent time in the Bottom Brook cottages.

We would give more stars if we could and would not hesitate to recommend these cottages. They are very comfortable and well looked-after and we had everything we needed. Highlights included our lobster boil made possible by Norm and seeing an unforgettable sunset on the beach across the road. This area has so much to do and seeing Minke whales was brilliant. The cottages have a nice outside seating area with the brook babbling away which is really relaxing. Barbecue looked brand new and we also made use of the laundry. Review would not be complete without mentioning Sue and Norm, the lovely couple who own and run this place. They were so helpful and friendly, especially when our luggage was delayed and they kindly lent us sweat tops (and socks !) whilst we sorted ourselves out. In short, if coming to this area, stay here, we certainly will on any return. Thanks Norm and Sue.

Meeting and pleasing great guests is very enjoyable for us! Glad you enjoyed your stay at our cottages while you were exploring Gros Morne. It was a pleasure to cook your lobsters for you outside your cottage while you enjoyed the babbling brook. Although we can't take credit for it, we are pleased you got to experience the wonderful sunsets we get. Norm & Sue

Arrived late afternoon and were greeted by one of the cleanest places that I've ever stayed at and all amenities were in place, even to the ice cubes in the freezer, as per our request. The surroundings are just beautiful, with a full view of the ocean and a running brook just outside our cottage and plenty of lawn furniture for all to relax in. There is a fire pit, which Norm advised that he would be happy to have a fire going for us. A very well equipped cottage and if something that one desires is not there, Norm and Sue will do their best to ensure that it's taken care of. We felt safe and taken care of and would definitely recommend it and cannot wait to go there again for the wonderful first class hospitality.

We just got back from a great trip to Gros Morne. Our accommodations were Bottom Brook Cottages. We had a 4 bedroom house smack dab in the middle of Rocky Harbor. Grocery and liquor store within sight. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. Norm and Sue Parsons, the owners, were so helpful and accommodating. Realizing this is their livelihood, we knew they loved being hosts in their town. The property is directly across the road from a beach with beach glass and a beautiful view. Thank you for such a great stay. Highly recommend Bottom Brook Cottages. They also have other accommodations, not just a house.

Nice clean spacious cabin. We stayed in cabin 3. All of the cabins are along the brook. There is a picnic table and chairs to sit by brook. Nice campfire area. Owner Norm was very welcoming. Even gave us a jar of canned moose meat to try ha. Cabin was clean. Beds super comfy. We had a great sleep. Short walk to visit shops in town. The ocean and harbour are right across the road. We enjoyed our night very much.

Thanks for your nice review. As a young boy I caught many trout in Bottom Brook. Now our guest certainly appreciate sleeping next to the babbling brook in our recently upgraded queen beds. With the bedroom window open the sound of the babbling brook is a great soother for a wonderful nights sleep after a day of exploring Gros Morne National Park. Glad you enjoyed the bottled moose meat, it gives me great pleasure to share my bottled moose meat with guest that have never eaten moose before. Sue and I have a very simple motto for our business, "we would like to see you again, if that's not possible we would like to see your friends!" It was really nice hosting you and I enjoyed our chat about the wind mills, interesting career you have!

I can't say enough about this place. Norm and Sue were excellent hosts: very friendly, very helpful and most accommodating. The 4 bedroom house was clean, well furnished, stocked and spacious. The location was perfect, right in the heart of everything and everywhere. The hosts and the house were a huge part of what made our vacation a success. I would definitely recommend Bottom Brook and look forward to coming back again.
