My mother and I visited Gros Morne Park, Newfoundland, in July 2016. My mother and I came across Frontier Cottages when we were entering Gros Morne Park, we knew we would have a hard time finding any other place to stay the closer we got to town, so we figured we would ask and see if they had anything. When...

We booked one cabin for one night. It was ideally located from Deer Lake with short distances to Woody Point and Rocky Harbour. That was the redeeming feature of the cabin. It is more suited as a hunting camp or a rough snowmobile camp. The bedclothes reeked of cigarette smoke as did the couch and the cabin in general. The...

Frontier here means rough, rustic, isolated long cabin with a view of the Trans Canada Highway and gas bar. Abandoned stuff everywhere. Address says Rocky Harbour - but it is 30 minutes away. Really a hunt camp not a vacation stop. We knew we had made a mistake as soon as we turned off the highway. Advised cancellation policy was...

The cottages are in a good location for park visitors and overall our cabin was adequate for our trip. However, it was dirty from the get-go. Our floors were dirty when we checked in and were not swept except by myself the entire time we were there. This was not our only housekeeping issue. There is no phone in the...

My Family and I booked Frontier Cottages after seeing the pictures of how pretty they looked in the brochure. There were five of us so they told us we had to stay in the bungalow. We thought it would still look just like the cottages but bigger. We were very disappointed when we arrived. It looked nothing like the picture...

We stayed here in the last night at Gros Morne after 7 nights of camping. Stormy weather was rolling in and we just needed a night in a bed. It's location is perfect right on highway 430 and close to hiking and camping in the park. We ate 2 meals in the restaurant and the cabin was great. Exceptionally clean...

If you like phone service and Internet and fear horses then this is not the spot for you. There are two horses at the front gate, Neat! The cabin is clean and has a fridge and two nice bedrooms. In the bathroom of cabin 1 you will find the toilet paper more then an arms reach away from the toilet...

I'll start by saying the cabins are decent, the restaurant / cleaning staff were very polite and funny, wifi is terrible and there is no cell phone service available. The service from Management was absolutely terrible. We stayed in March for a company snowmobile trip and had 4 cabins booked for our trip. Somehow the management managed to mess up...

Prebooked a 3 room cabin for 2 nights. Arrived for our first night in Newfoundland and our cabin reservation had been lost- it took a lot of pushing to have them grudgingly help us book a single night of alternative accomodation
