Wow, the Claddagh Inn is amazing, the location, the view, the Inn itself and the owners, Patrick and Carol are truly exceptional. We enjoyed our stay, our dinner, and breakfast. We were guided to this Inn by Carol, she suggested were we have lunch prior to our arrival and Patrick helped us find B&B's for the next few days for...

My wife and I traveled around eastern NL during the last two weeks of Sept 2016 staying in B & Bs. We would have no hesitation returning to any of them. We stayed at the Claddagh one night and opted to have their dinner as well as the provided breakfast. The chilli cabbage soup and the cod entrees (we tried...

We spent our last night touring the Avalon Peninsula at this little gem of an Inn. St. Mary's is a small, remote community in the southwest Avalon, with little else available, so booking ahead in peak vacation times would be recommended. We were pleasantly surprised to enter this Inn that has been lovingly renovated and updated by the current owners,...

We ended our two week visit in Newfoundland with a four day stay at this wonderful inn. Hosts Patrick and Carol are very accommodating, great chefs and wonderful people! Both are retired RCAFpersonell, a distinct pleaure to talk to. The inn is bright, the rooms comfortable especially the spa room. It is close to many nice ares to visit on...

The proximity of this hotel to St. Vincent's Beach is the reason we chose this inn. St. Vincent's is one of Newfoundland's best kept secrets. The water is very deep very close to the beach, so you can stand onshore and - if you're lucky - watch whales eating fish very close to land. You feel almost as though you...

So happy your stay was memorable Vanessa! You were able to take in the amazing sight of feeding leviathans so close to shore it's truly a spectacle and they certainly put on many shows again this season!! We are already taking bookings for next season's whale visit which you correctly placed at about mid June to mid-July however they stayed...

We stayed here for only night on our trip around the Irish loop. Wish we could have stayed longer but unfortunately we didn't have any extra days to do that. This is a very beautifully decorated Inn and the beds very comfortable. Owner Patrick was a real pleasure to deal with. He treated us like family. At the end of...

We stayed only one night at the Claddagh Inn in St Mary's, as we were making our way around the Irish Loop. We did not expect to find such a gem as this. The outside looks like a nice big house, surrounded by neat gardens, and a fantastic view to the ocean. The inside is the big surprise. It was...

Thanks for the great review Zianne! Our team takes pride in providing visitors with our "unexpected gem" out here on the corner of the continent!! I'm happy you noticed the details featured in what was once an active convent, much of the woodwork and the chapel furniture was re-purposed from this and another convent destined for demolition! Perhaps we'll see...

Hi guys, I'm glad you enjoyed the Limerick room! It's somewhat posh and inviting and very popular! Sorry we never got to chat in the Pub while you were visiting; we don't keep it open late both to ensure the I'nn's peaceful environment and so that Carol and I can get to bed at a decent hour because the days...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Claddagh Inn, once the Saint Ann's Presentation convent, was transformed into a quaint traditional Irish style Inn by local craftsmen. Completely refreshed by its new owners in 2011 and 2012, it boasts 6 private en-suite rooms. There's a spacious honeymoon suite with majestic king-size canopy bed and spa bath and also a double room available for family travellers. "Padraig's Folly" is a cozy guest pub or "snug" featuring a fine selection of whiskeys, a local craft beer on tap, and other refreshments for guests to enjoy during dinner, in the pub, or while enjoying the view of peaceful St. Mary's Bay from the deck. This eclectic pub is furnished with re-claimed furniture from the nun's chapel. St. Mary's Bay Snow Crab is our signature dish in the dinning room where four-course fine dining is offered by reservation. The room features incredible wood work in rich warm textures and is decorated with traditional and international art. The view is remarkable and is a great place to start your traveling day while enjoying a hot three course breakfast in the morning featuring local berries and home made jams. New for 2013: starting in June lunch will be available daily! Bi-lingual service bien sur :) Join us in St. Mary's and enjoy access to the amenities offered by the Irish Loop. Cheers, Salut! ... more   less
