Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We travelled with friends. Husbands did a golfing weekend and the ladies shopped.
We had the two bedroom, two bathroom suite.
Lots of windows and great view. Clean Kitchen and living room area was great for socializing:
The chair lift at the mountain was open and the zip lining.
This is a fantastic place for the winter enthusiast. Skiing , snowboarding, snowmobile.
There is a Tim Hortons close by, you don’t have to go on the main highway, gas and liquor store.
Very short drive to Corner Brook.
There are locker/storage if you bring your skis, etc .
We all said that we would stay there again.

We spent 2 nights here in July 2022 and had a 2 bedroom condo. The bedrooms were very large and the beds comfortable. There were 3 tv's and it appeared there was to be laundry facilities off the smaller bedroom. However it was empty and we noted pay per use laundry facilities on the main floor. We had difficulty with the Keurig and they brought us a second one. Still it made terrible coffee. There was a Tim Horton's just down the road so we went there on day 2. When we arrived we saw a sign as we exited the highway that said there was a "Boil Water Advisory" but no one mentioned it to us at check-in, and apparently it had been on for weeks. When we called the desk, it was confirmed and they sent up a case of bottled water. That was an inconvenience but we managed. This resort is at the base of a ski mountain and nothing is happening there in the summer from what we could see. The drive to Corner Brook is about 5 minutes. You just hop on the TCH and it is very quick. We visited the train museum and the Captain Cook statue in a park overlooking Corner Brook. As well as drove out to Bottle Cove and Lark Harbour - beautiful despite the bad weather. Unfortunately we couldn't do some of the hiking we wanted to. All in all it was a very nice villa and we enjoyed our stay despite the BWA and the rain. Only rainy day on our entire trip!

Beautiful spot and such a lovely suite. Clean, great pillows, comfortable bed, very quiet, so spacious, great shower. I slept very well.
Service was terrific. I arrived very late (past midnight) and only had to wait one minute for the caretaker to let me in when I called from the lobby. Check in and check out were fast and easy and the room was well cleaned.
My only suggestion would be to move the picnic table in the back further away from the building. The staff talking and smoking there woke me very early. I enjoyed having the windows open with the fresh air (being a city gal that's a rare treat) so was disappointed to have to close them due to cigarette smoke.

Had a reservation here for 6 of us June 2021 and had to cancel due to pandemic issues. Tried to rebook for June 2022, told we only like to book large groups so would not rebook us. Suspect they are trying to attract the large bus tours and didn't want to use their bookings for only 6 people. Too bad, looks like a lovely spot but if you're under a certain # in your party may not get a booking

The hotel always sets the tone for my vacation. Even if you are only spending few hours sleeping in the hotel, it is still an important part of the vacation experience. The Villa is basically a big building with suites. We went there during the summer time. The bed sheets were very old. The furniture is the same and not very clean. I am not going to guess for the carpet. If I was 20 years old and going there for a ski trip...probably I would not have cared...but I am not 20 and have a toddler that likes to touch and lick everything. So it required lot of work to make sure that he was not touching anything dirty. I really don't recommend this place for 150-200 CAD a night not even 80 a night. We had friends staying at a bed and breakfasts at the Humber Valley Resort for the same price. I would highly recommend this option.

Hello lepetitmonde! While I know your review was made sometime ago, I thought we should write you to let you know we've made a number of upgrades since you last visited with us! New beds, bedding, living room furnishings, flooring, kitchenwares, window coverings, and lighting fixtures are just a few of the things that have been replaced or revamped over the past two years! While we agree, things were a little dated back in 2011, you should see us know! Come see us again soon, Cole Fawcett Sales and Accommodation Manager Marble Mountain Resort

Did the ski & stay package & thought it was great! Loved staying at the villa & skiing right to our door, room had all the basics covered for some basic snack prep & was clean! Would totally stay there again. Only suggestion, is would like to see more on site for evening food & drinks as the lounge shuts down early. Thanks for a great stay!

We are a family with young children and we stayed in a two-bedroom suite at Marble Villa in July. The resort seemed quite busy with a variety of guests (may seemed to be hiking or doing the Marble Zip). The suite was inviting, with a nice living area with a fireplace, a full kitchen and eating area, and beautifully decorated rooms. The view is beautiful, looking up the mountain in summertime, and it's a quick drive to Corner Brook for meals (note: there was no restaurant or food available on the property, and the closest Tim Horton's was closed due to ongoing water issues, so we had to drive to Corner Brook or Deer Lake to eat). We were also able to keep cereal and milk in our kitchen and reheat leftovers if we needed. I would definitely stay here again!

I had the good fortune of managing the Marble Villa, at Marble Mountain Resort, for three years and enjoyed my last night in the facility a few days after moving on from my role, hence this review.
Three years ago, when I first stepped foot in the facility the Marble Villa was a dated, tired facility, in dire need of upgrade. Over the past three years, and more than 200k in investment later, the rooms have been modernized and are exceptionally comfortable.
The best part of staying at the Villa is the staff. From the live-in management staff, housekeeping, to the front desk, all of the team members are working hard to ensure an exceptional experience for everyone walking in the door.
While you won't find a pool, sauna, or other additional amenities within the building, the slope-side location and quiet setting, more than make up for this!
I can't wait to come back.

Downhill ski trip turns into a winter adventure...in a good way. After one glorious day of skiing in perfect conditions, the weather turned nasty. The people at Marble Mountain stepped in and provided us, a group of 30 skiers, with an awesome winter adventure. Where else can you zip line in blizzard conditions? The hill took us up an adjacent mountain by snow mobile to the beginning of a 2km+ zip line which traversed nine times down and across a gorge. Another day, they took us to Blow Me Down cross country ski resort for an afternoon of skiing or snowshoeing and then we were treated to an incredible moose dinner. Another day an outdoor boil up (cod, fish cakes and toutons) and another day a stand up comedian and screech in. The Villa is relatively new, tastefully and very comfortably furnished. Each unit is roomy and well designed. We all wished our own kitchens had the same quality of dishes, pots and pans (Paderno) and cutlery as the ones in the units. There is a kitchen at the lodge that serves soups/chili, sandwhiches, salads and fried foods that is open for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner. There is also a bar with other finger foods and burgers. We were picked up at the airport and shuttled to the resort and kept well informed of ski conditions. I offer my thanks to the hill staff for making this vacation a memorable one for me...I will return.
