Detailed Reviews
The Parkside Inn was by far the nearest hotel to the place we needed to get to, so we had no other options. I have a feeling that many people who end up there are in the same boat.
The good: the staff were extremely warm and welcoming, accommodating our unexpectedly late arrival, and then making breakfast and getting us on our way the next day. That's the only reason this place gets a 3 and not a 2.
However: The rooms are extremely, um... basic. The beds are uncomfortable. Some of our party slept on ancient, pilled sheets. When I got up, there was no hot water (none - not a drop). Breakfast, served by the a friendly woman who was the only person working that morning, was eggs sunny side up with bacon - no other choices.
Like I said, this place was the only option. It was OK. But I wouldn't want to go back.
