We arrived early but there was a note for us to take our key and make ourselves at home. Since it was raining we ate our prepared picnic lunch in the country style kitchen before going on a bit of a walk through the tiny village of Woody Point. Our room had it's own bathroom down the hall with a...

I stayed at this interesting guest house for four nights when in Woody Point for a wedding. The house was built in 1904 and many of the fixtures and fittings remain making it quite quirky. Breakfast was served between 8 and 9 am simple breakfast of cereal, eggs, toast and bagels but could help yourself if you wanted a lay...

this b and b was very reasonably priced at just over 100/night but the noise travelled between the rooms despite us sharing the place with very quiet guests. breakfast choice was quite limited but well done

We booked two en-suite rooms for two nights--and then stayed one extra night. During our stay, which was early in the season, we had the whole place to ourselves, with no other guests, so it was wonderful to have quiet space to unwind. We appreciated the cleanliness of the whole place, and, as others have mentioned, being able to use...

We really enjoyed our one night at Blanchard House. We stayed in room 3 with an attached bath, and we were very comfortable. Ivy (the owner) dropped by and chatted for a bit about the history of the property which was very interesting. Having the ability to do some laundry was fantastic after a damp day of hiking in Gros...

What a beautiful spot! We loved Woody Point the last time we visited but this is the first time we stayed overnight. We cannot say enough about this B&B. There is a large kitchen that is available to guests, plus laundry facilities. The rooms were spacious and each had their own private bath. We were travelling with friends, so after...

We stayed in the room with the separate bathroom. The room was very small with a double bed, but the price was right. We were expected a shower but had a bath tub. The home was clean and welcoming. The housekeeper and inn keeper were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to walk to...

I stayed here for 2 nights in August, during the writers' festival, when it's near-impossible to find a place to stay in town. It was clean, quiet, creaky - like most old houses in Newfoundland. It will remind you of your nan's house! Sure, the furniture is old, the house itself smells a bit old, but you don't come to...

We had to pick up the key from the Granite Coffee House from Ivy who is the owner. We were fortunate to have an en-suite, room 3, as one of the rooms has a bathroom down the landing. There are 3 double rooms and 1 single. The housekeeper Ruby comes in every morning to serve breakfast at 8am. Blanchard House...

I recently had the enormous pleasure of spending three nights at Blanchard House in Woody Point, Newfoundland. The house features four bedrooms, three of which have ensuite bathrooms. The fourth, the room I had, has a dedicated bathroom down the hall. The house features a large living room and dinning room, a well equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer...
