Detailed Reviews
The hotel is quite small, it overlooks Bonne Bay , it is situated on a hillside very close to the highway. (not too noisy)
The room was clean and well appointed. There was a comfortable sitting area in the lobby where you can enjoy breakfast and tea in the afternoon.
A great perk was the ability to be able to use the washer and dryer for no charge,
There was a pub and a dining room.. we enjoyed dinners there, the food was quite good for such a tiny establishment.
The staff was helpful and could not have been nicer.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Bonne Bay Inn, where the rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean, with a large window overlooking Bonne Bay and Gros Morne. The breakfast room (free) has the same breathtaking views, with soft music playing and hot or cold breakfast options available. The Blue Ocean Dining Room, again, has the same views, a nice menu of great appetizers, mains and deserts. All the staff are pleasant and helpful, which all adds to a relaxing stay amongst some of natures finest offerings in Gros Morne National Park.

The details in the design of the inn reveal the loving attention the innkeeper gives to the comfort of her guests: bed lamps with dimmer switches on either side of the bed so that one can read without disturbing the other, hooks right where they are needed, rooms located and furnishings positioned to give guests great views of Bonne Bay, spacious shower with separate thermostat in bathroom, opaque glass on door between bath and bedroom, ... And I could go on, and I have only mentioned attributes of the guest rooms.
.
The inn is situated high above the water's edge, giving an expansive view of Bonne Bay and beyond to Gros Morne. It is an easy walk to the shoreline and the village of Woody Point. The kitchen puts out great meals for those who reserve tables for their evening meal. Both the dining room and the large lobby have comfortable seating with magnificent views of the water.
.
I should also mention the generous hospitality of Darlene. We had planned to make a quiet exit at dawn our last day. Darlene, ever attentive to her guests, came to help us as we left for our return home.

We recently spend a lovely weekend with Darlene and her very professional and accommodating staff, We stayed in the Sandollar Suite which was large, well appointed and very comfortable. The attention to detail; the lovely breakfasts; the well stocked kitchenette; the effort to ensure that Covid-19 cleanliness standards are met or exceeded; all made our stay a memorable and very enjoyable one. We would recommend this accommoadtion to anyone staying in the Gross Morne area and would encourage visitors to treat themselves to the beautiful community of Woody Point. Thank You!

My husband and I stayed at Bonne van for four nights. We highly recommend this in. Darlene the owner was very diligent in taking care of her guest,
One of my favorite things about this end is if they had a washer and dryer I could use at no expense. Location was great just down the road from the little town. Plenty of hikes nearby. The discovery center was within walking distance. Highly recommend it.

+1
Bonne Bay Inn is a lovely small Inn with magnificent views of Bonne Bay from every guest room as well as the on site dinning room. The guest rooms are very modern, bright, immaculately clean, and nicely decorated. We had two Dinners in the very pretty and relaxing dining room and thoroughly enjoyed both, especially the crab cakes. The Inn is perfectly located in charming Woody Point and close to the Tablelands and all the beauty of Gros Morne National Park. But the true gems of this property are the very welcoming, friendly and hard working staff! I would highly recommend Bonne Bay Inn!

Darlene, the owner, was kind enough to wait for us and let us in the back door at 11:45PM, so as not to disturb her other guests, after our flight was delayed. Not many businesses are that kind and considerate, but Darlene and the Bonne Bay inn staff are.
Since we were there in 2015, they have added the Blue Ocean Dining Room, where we enjoyed 2 consecutive diners. The menu is developed so they showcase their wonderful appetizers, as well as mains that appeal to all palates, and the deserts were divine as well! The staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient, what more could we ask for?
They serve a wonderful breakfast for free, that includes scrambled eggs, homemade muffins and jams, along with the breads, cereals etc.
The rooms are modern, with a wonderful view of Bonne Bay and Gros Morne , and very clean thanks to Amanda's diligent work.
We highly recommend the Bonne Bay inn for excellent rooms, food, service and views.

This roadside inn was possibly one of our favourite places we stayed in during our two-week Newfoundland trip. So much thought and care were obviously taken when it was last renovated a few years ago, to make this a perfect place to rest and relax after a long drive or a day of exploring Gros Morne. The spacious lounge, bar, restaurant and cozy rooms were all impeccably clean and comfortable with many places to enjoy the view of Bonne Bay. Great hot and cold breakfast offerings. Free laundry is available. Our room had a walk-in shower, a Keurig coffeemaker, and a fridge. Wifi worked well. It was a two minute drive to the Gros Morne Discovery Center, 10 minutes to the Tablelands Hike and 15 minutes to the Green Garden trailhead.
What put Bonne Bay Inn over the top for us was our host Darlene (and her adorable dog, Bergie!) and the staff at the Inn. Darlene was the best host and one of the warmest, kindest people we met during our entire trip. So friendly, helpful and talkative without being intrusive, she really made our trip!
We wished we had stayed more than one night at Bonne Bay Inn and will go out of our way to figure out how to stay there again when we revisit Newfoundland!

Bonne Bay Inn is such a great place to stay in this area. The hostess who was running the show while we were there was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. She showed us to our room, and we got a nice surprise by having access to laundry facilities (for free) during our one-night stay. My wife hadn't overpacked, so this was a huge help for both of us to clean up some of our hiking clothes for re-use later in the trip. Our room was very modern, with large windows opening up to a view of the beautiful blue bay. Yes, there are power lines running along the street down in front of the hotel, but that does not really detract from the view much. The hotel is perched on a hill, not right on the water. The parking area is a right behind the hotel a little farther up the hill. I took my photo from the parking lot area, so you can see what it looks like looking right across the top of the hotel into the bay. The location is perfect for exploring this other part of Gros Morne National Park. You're five minutes from the main discovery center building, and about 15-20 minutes out to the Tablelands or Green Gardens trailheads. We hiked the Tablelands before coming back and checking in to our room. We did not have dinner in the restaurant, but we had the breakfast. It was a great starter for the next day of hiking, too. During our first night, we came back from Bonne Bay/Woody Point at night, and wanted to enjoy a nightcap pint of beer. I think the bar had already closed, but they still opened up the tap and poured us a couple of pints. Then, they opened back up the door to the little deck so we could sit outside under the stars and enjoy our beers. The bed and sheets were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was really nice. Clean, and roomy. I would highly recommend if you're in the area for a trip, consider staying at Bonne Bay Inn. We had a great time here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It’s a great location for the Tablelands part of Gros Morne. After a hectic week, we needed to chill a bit and had two consecutive dinners in the restaurant (thank you Erica) and enjoyed the pub too. The staff are very friendly and, although we had a very early start on our last morning, Taylor ensured we had access to blueberry muffins before we left. But the most awesome thing about this hotel is the guest laundry. On our first evening we managed to do a full week's wash and, on the next, wash and dry our walking clothes that were soaked and muddy after we were caught in a storm. Well done to whoever proposed and supports this wonderful facility. Awesome! A very good place to stay.
